Week 6 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire

There is a lot of time to contemplate the week 6 EPL waiver wire, as EPL doesn’t play again until the weekend of October 10th. Players head out for international games or get a rest. For some players, that rest will get them healthy for when games begin again, but there’s also the risk of injury. So, Fantrax managers will need to be ready to adjust accordingly.

Week 5 suggestion, Vitalii Mykolenko, had another double-digit point game, as Everton kept their third clean sheet of the season. Daichi Kamada was less effective than he had been, getting off three shots but just one on target. Jayden Bogle kept another clean sheet with Leeds, but his yellow card dampened his points. Liam Delap was solid, though he didn’t score. It’s looking like he’ll put up decent points even without goals.

Week 6 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire

Week 6 suggestions (rostered 50% or less) are listed in order from most to least rostered.

Bobby Thomas – Defender – 46% Rostered – Coventry vs Newcastle

Thomas has scored double-digit points in three of the five games on season, only getting clean sheet points in one of those and conceding 10 goals. He’s adding key passes and lots of defensive stats, plus 10 shots from a defensive player is a strong output. Coventry have scored just a single goal this season, but they did manage their first win of the season in a 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest. He’s going to start and is Coventry’s top Fantrax scorer of the season. He’s worth rostering to see how the season unfolds.

Regan Slater – Midfielder – 32% Rostered – Hull vs Everton

Slater may offer some midfield consistency on the EPL waiver wire. He’s averaging 7.75 points a game and has started all five games, going 90 minutes in four of them. Slater is on some set pieces, adding value, and he’s notched an assist already this season. Hull suffered their first loss of the season, and they will host undefeated Everton, who sit just above them in the table. There’s some consistency here for managers looking for that in their lineup.

Wesley Fofana – Defender – 24% Rostered – Chelsea vs Bournemouth

Fofana is still getting quality points over his last three, even though Chelsea have conceded seven goals over that stretch. Chelsea have allowed more goals than any team in the EPL, so there is risk for any Chelsea defender. Fofana had 20 clearances, nine aerials won, nine interceptions and two key passes over the last three games. Those stats keep him a viable option for Fantrax managers looking for a defender. Chelsea host Bournemouth, who have scored six goals this season.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles – Midfielder – 18% Rostered – Hull vs Everton

Maitland-Niles has found his way into the Everton lineup at the right back spot and is looking like he may be there to stay. He scored three games ago, and in his two starts since, he’s been active and productive. He’s averaging over 10 a game. Normally, a mid playing in a defensive spot is not ideal, but the points are here on both sides of the field. He’s putting in crosses and picking up defensive points. There’s nothing sure here, but there is enough to entice Fantrax managers to take a look on the EPL waiver wire.

Check injury news, especially after the international break. Have fun. Good luck.
