Fantasy Football 2024: Week 13 RB Rankings

As we roll into my Week 13 RB rankings, we must take a step back and cherish what Saquon Barkley did last week. He has been on a tear this year and did it against last week putting up 44.2 fantasy points. However, not everyone went off such as Jonathan Taylor, Joe Mixon, Christian McCaffrey, and James Conner. All of them scored under 10 fantasy points.

The way the season has been going, only a couple of guys are locks every week but players like Taylor and Conner could be benched based on matchup. Playoffs start in two weeks and you need to make sure you are in it.

Running Back Notes

  • Let’s start with Bucky Irving as my RB14 against the Panthers. The backfield is pretty much split between Irving and Rachaad White, but Irving is the one who is producing with his carries. Irving is coming off a huge week scoring 24.1 fantasy points on 87 rushing yards and a touchdown. He also logged six receptions for 64 yards. This week he goes against the worst fantasy defense against the run. Irving is hot right now and you need to roll with the hot hand. Also having a dream matchup like this, makes it so much easier to start him.
  • Next, I have Nick Chubb as my RB28. Chubb put up 18.5 fantasy points on 59 rushing yards and two touchdowns. The bright point in this, besides the two touchdowns, was his 20 carries. The problem is the Browns are going against a tough defense in the Broncos this week. Chubb got 20 carries, but it was a snow game and the Browns had to run the ball. Also, Chubb was not efficient with his carries, if he didn’t get those two goal-line touchdowns then he would be looking at around six fantasy points. I will bench Chubb this week.
  • Lastly, I have David Montgomery as my RB17 against the Bears. Montgomery has shown he is a flex start or even an RB2 start every week. He has 11 touchdowns on the season and has only scored under double-digits in fantasy scoring just once this season. He also has scored a touchdown in every game this season except for two. He has a solid matchup against the Bears this week, who just gave up 106 rushing yards and a touchdown to Aaron Jones. Montgomery is an easy start this week and expect the Lions to put up points this week.
