IDP Stock Market: Week 15

Week 15 is here and so are the fantasy playoffs. Hopefully, your teams made the dance but even if you didn’t, there is always work to be done with your IDP portfolios. In this week’s IDP Stock Market, I have a little something for everyone. Let’s get right into it with some investments that will help you keep your IDP portfolios providing big returns.

Week 15 IDP Stock Market

Investments

Tyler Nubin, SAF, New York Giants

My first IDP Stock Market investment, SAF Tyler Nubin of the New York Football Giants, is a player that I strongly suggest you look at investing in. I know that the Giants just placed Nubin on the IR this week, which makes this the perfect opportunity for you to buy low on a stock that has proven high returns. Before Nubin went down with the ankle injury we saw just what an impact player he was and doing it as a rookie. Coming into Week 14 he was on a streak of three straight games of 12 total tackles and was trending for the fourth consecutive week at that mark.

On the season Nubin has 98 tackles, 57 solo stops, a 58.1% solo rate, with a 7.53 tackle per game average, and was a plug-and-play lock each week. He won’t come cheap in trades but should be lower than before the season-ending injury. It’s the playoffs and managers get wonky when they suffer an injury, so they may be willing to move him at a reduced price, in order to keep their championship hopes alive. He’s a great dynasty option, that you’ll be glad you invested in.

Yetur Gross-Matos, DE, San Francisco 49ers

My next IDP Stock Market investment, Yetur Gross-Matos of the San Francisco 49ers had a breakout performance (4 tackles, all solos, 3 QB hits, 3 TFLs, 3 sacks) last week. Coming off that game, unfortunately, in last night’s Thursday night game he was held to a big fat goose egg vs the Rams. Before that Gross-Matos had been on a nice five-game streak with 14 tackles, 10 solo stops, a 71.4% solo rate, five TFLs, five QB hits, and four sacks. Gross-Matos has a nice backup role with an average of 35.2 defensive snaps per game and is available in a whopping 92% of Fantrax leagues. Gross-Matos isn’t going to set the world on fire every week, as proved by last night’s game, but he can be a serviceable option if you’re in a pinch and it will cost you nothing to add him.

Fantrax Rostership: 70%

Bryan Bresee, DT, New Orleans Saints

Up next on this week’s IDP Stock Market, is a little something for those of you who play in position-specific leagues. As we know, in those types of leagues fantasy managers are required to start defensive tackles and I have just the investment option for you. New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Bryan Bresee has been playing as well as anyone at the position for the past three weeks. Over that stretch, he has recorded at least two QB hits, one TFL, and one sack in each game and has clearly taken a big jump from his rookie season. Bresee is on pace or has already set personal highs in almost every category and will be an impact fantasy option for the foreseeable future. The investment cost to add him to your IDP portfolios isn’t a break-the-bank type, which makes him the type of player I like to target.

Fantrax Rostership: 28%

Darius Muasau, LB, New York Giants

I don’t typically like to have multiple investments from the same team during the same week on the IDP Stock Market, but the Giants are an exception here. Nubin (above) is more of a long-term option, while my next investment, linebacker Darius Muasau is an immediate short-term option. With starter Bobby Okereke out for this week and Micah McFadden most likely already rostered, you should turn your focus to Muasau. In Okereke’s absence last week, Muasau got the start and played 52 defensive snaps (76%), and registered eight total tackles, with seven being solos. In the two games that Muasau has received more than 45 defensive snaps, he has produced a total of 14 tackles, 12 solo tackles, one TFL, one interception, and one PBU. At this stage of the season, trying to find top-end production is almost non-existent. That makes the investment into Muasau even more important.

Fantrax Rostership: 28%
