Tonight, we get to double our fun. Week 15 of the NFL season comes to a close with two exciting matchups for us to finish things on a high note. There is a divisional matchup as the Chicago Bears travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings. Additionally, the Atlanta Falcons are facing the Raiders in Las Vegas. We have you covered with DFS picks for both games to bring home the cash. Let’s jump right in and see what we are working with.
Monday Night Football DFS Picks
Quarterback
Sam Darnold, Minnesota Vikings
On paper, it’s a tough matchup for Sam Darnold against the Chicago Bears. However, when these teams faced each other a few weeks ago, Darnold threw for 330 yards and two touchdowns. Last week, Darnold broke the 300-yard mark for the second time in three games against Atlanta. He threw for 347 yards against the Falcons to go along with five touchdowns.
With 3,299 passing yards and 28 touchdowns, Darnold is having a strong first season with Minnesota. Having Justin Jefferson certainly helps here, but if you want the best quarterback on the slate, it’s Darnold.
Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons
After a strong start to the season, it’s been four weeks since Kirk Cousins threw a touchdown pass. He did receive an affirmation that he’s going to remain the starter, but he’s going to have to produce to remain in the lineup. The good news is that facing the Raiders represents one of the softest landing spots available.
Prior to this cold stretch, Cousins was playing well, so seeing him bounce back wouldn’t be surprising. He’s at 3,396 passing yards with 17 touchdowns overall. Those touchdowns have come across nine games and he does have weapons to work with. The price is right tonight too which also helps.
Running Back
Aaron Jones, Minnesota Vikings
The Bears have struggled against opposing running backs this season, and Aaron Jones is in position to capitalize. When these teams faced each other in Week 12, Jones rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries in one of his best games of the season. Jones also added four catches for another 23 yards and he looks to continue that success tonight.
On the season, Jones is cruising towards the 1,000-yard mark with 893 rushing yards so far this season. He continues to be a centerpiece of Minnesota’s offense and that will continue tonight.
Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons
With just 23 yards, Bijan Robinson will break the 1,000-yard mark on the season. He’s broken the century mark three times already this season while also rushing for at least 92 yards in three other games. Facing the Raiders should allow him to have a similar game tonight.
Robinson has also been quite involved in the passing game with 53 catches for 401 yards on 58 targets. After last season, perhaps most importantly, Robinson has nine touchdowns on the season.
Sincere McCormick, Las Vegas Raiders
After two games of double-digit targets, Sincere McCormick has earned the starting job in Las Vegas. Even with Alexander Mattison returning, McCormick will be the starter this week for the Raiders.
McCormick followed up 12 carries for 64 yards with 78 yards on 15 carries last week. He has been efficient when given a chance to show what he can do although he’s yet to find the end zone. Granted a piece of that is dependent on what the rest of the Raiders offense does, but that’s really the production we are looking for here. Either way, McCormick is a solid DFS pick as we follow the volume and value.
Wide Receiver
DJ Moore, Chicago Bears
The Vikings allow the most DFS points to opposing receivers, and DJ Moore is in position to take advantage of that tonight. It also helps that the Bears are expected to be playing from behind which helps from a passing game perspective. In Week 12, Moore caught all seven of his targets against Minnesota for 107 yards and a touchdown. Overall, Moore has 712 yards and five touchdowns on the season as capable target of Caleb Williams.
Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings
From this perspective, let the Chicago Bears pay all their attention to Justin Jefferson. That means there’s plenty of opportunity for Jordan Addison to be successful. That’s what transpired a few weeks ago as Addison had his way with Chicago. The receiver caught eight of his nine targets for 162 yards and a touchdown.
He’s coming off a three-touchdown performance against the Falcons and Addison looks to continue that momentum tonight. With 708 yards and eight touchdowns, it has been a solid season overall for Addison.
Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders
From a wide receiver perspective, Jakobi Meyers is the only game in town for the Raiders. Between Meyers and Brock Bowers, there isn’t much else going on for the Raiders from a receiving aspect.
The Falcons have struggled this season against opposing receivers and Meyers has double-digit targets in four of his last five games. In two of those games, Meyers broke 100 receiving yards while coming up three yards short in a third. What’s keeping Meyers down is a function of the Raiders’ offense as he has just two touchdown catches. On a smaller slate though, he’s still one of the better options.
Drake London, Atlanta Falcons
While the struggles of Cousins have also meant Drake London is stuck on six touchdowns, it hasn’t been all bad for him recently. In that four-game stretch, London has 25 catches on 46 targets so it’s not like Cousins has forgotten about him. On the season, London has 866 yards and six touchdowns so, if we believe in Cousins, there shouldn’t be any issues.
Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings
The most expensive player on the slate could very well be the best player as well. However, that is on an overall basis, and not based on the matchup. Chicago is allowing the fewest DFS points to opposing receivers this season and we aren’t getting a bargain either.
A few weeks ago, Jefferson managed just two catches on 27 yards. Despite the success that Darnold and Minnesota had, the Bears did a good job of shutting Jefferson down. The concern is that something similar happens again tonight. We know that the Bears are going to heavily focus on Jefferson, and he’s not coming in cheap. However, with an average of 90 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, it’s hard to argue with Jefferson’s overall body of work.
Tight End
Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders
You get what you pay for here. It doesn’t matter who the quarterback has been for the Raiders this season as Brock Bowers has had a great rookie season. He only has four touchdowns but has been busy with 87 catches for 933 yards on the season. The Raiders will continue to look for Bowers early and often downfield but his price has also climbed. Bowers has been a worthy option, but the lack of touchdown or quarterback upside means I’m not forcing him into my lineup.
TJ Hockenson, Minnesota Vikings
It’s been a slow start to the season for TJ Hockenson after returning from last year’s knee injury. He’s still looking for his first touchdown of the season, but he has proven to be healthy while carving out a solid role in Minnesota’s offense. It also doesn’t hurt that his best game of the year was against Chicago when he caught seven passes for 114 yards.
