Starting XI of the Boom Draft Picks
EPL Season Review Boom Goalkeeper
Mark Flekken – Brentford – ADP: 148.1 – Positional Rank: 1 – Overall Rank: 18
Flekken wasn’t even a top 10 keeper drafted at the beginning of the season. Brentford finished 10th in the table, but Flekken finished as the top scoring Fantrax keeper. He recorded 153 saves, which was best on the season by almost 30 saves. The Bee’s keeper had seven clean sheets and even added two assists. He started in 37 games. Even though he allowed 55 goals, he never had a negative score.
Honorable Mention:
Matz Sels – Nottingham Forest –Â ADP: 404 – Positional Rank: 3 – Overall Rank: 42
EPL Season Review Boom Defenders
Daniel Munoz- Crystal Palace – ADP: 59 – Positional Rank: 1 – Overall Rank: 7
Despite being picked almost 60th in the draft in most leagues, Munoz was a revelation for Crystal Palace this season. He was the top defender, boasting a wide range of stats that made him a set-and-forget player all season long. He finished with 4 goals, 6 assists, and 11 clean sheets. Munoz topped all defenders with 80 tackles won and most shots on target with 18. Finishing top 10 as a defender is no easy feat and will be much higher on the draft board going into next season.
Antonee Robinson – Fulham – ADP: 70 – Positional Rank: 2 – Overall Rank: 11
Robinson has a similar story to Munoz in that he was still drafted decently high in most drafts, but exceeded expectations and finished top 15 overall. Antonee had zero goals but had 42 accurate crosses and also provided 10 assists, which were both the most for any defender. The American is not reliant on clean sheets and gets an array of ghost points that made him super consistent all year long. There are rumors of a move this summer, which could change his value next season.
Nathan Collins – Brentford – ADP: 347 – Positional Rank: 4 – Overall Rank: 17
Nathan Collins was a gem for anyone who was able to snag him early in the season off the waiver wire. Collins was practically undrafted in all of the leagues and finished 4th in points amongst all defenders and top 17 overall. The big center back finished with 2 goals, 8 clean sheets, and 7 assists from only 10 key passes. Collins led all players with 57 blocked shots and had 119 aerials, which had him only bested by Dan Burn. He started in all 38 games and, similar to Flekken, he never had a negative score despite conceding 57 goals this season.
