MLB Injury Report
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. – 1B Toronto Blue Jays
UPDATE: 1B Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was removed from today's game with a right forearm contusion.
He underwent x-rays which came back negative for a fracture.
— Toronto Blue Jays (@BlueJays) June 26, 2025
Guerrero was hit by a pitch and left the game. The good news is that he has a bruise on his forearm and (likely) nothing more. Consider him on a day-to-day basis until we hear otherwise.
Jose Ramirez – 3B Cleveland Guardians
José RamÃrez left with a bruised right forearm. x-rays were negative.
— Tim Stebbins (@tim_stebbins) June 26, 2025
This hit batter was in retaliation for earlier in the game when the aforementioned Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was plunked. Ramirez stayed in the game and stole a base before leaving. The good news here also is that he has suffered what appears to be a bruise, avoiding a fracture. Consider him day-to-day until we hear otherwise.
Bryce Harper – 1B Philadelphia Phillies
Another good day for Bryce Harper, Rob Thomson said. He took 75 swings off the high-velocity machine. He'll hit outside Friday at Truist Park. Phillies may or may not find a live arm to throw to him.
Monday looks possible.
— Matt Gelb (@MattGelb) June 26, 2025
Despite the positive progression here, Harper still has a lot of work to do. Not only will he tally a high amount of swings here, he will also need to hit against live pitching. Time is running out for a Monday return, but if all goes well, he is someone to activate in leagues for next week.
Sean Manaea – SP New York Mets
Sean Manaea is playing catch today for the first time since an MRI revealed a loose body in his left elbow. He remains on track to complete his minor league rehab assignment next week.
— Anthony DiComo (@AnthonyDiComo) June 26, 2025
This is the first time that Manaea has done any throwing since having his MRI. It feels advantageous for him to be on track to throw his final Minor League rehab assignment next week, but the Mets remain confident. It would appear that the cortisone shot is working.
Mark Vientos – 3B New York Mets
Mark Vientos (hamstring) says he will return to the Mets' active roster tomorrow in Pittsburgh.

Be prepared!
Griffin Canning – SP New York Mets

— SNY (@SNYtv) June 26, 2025
The team acknowledged that Canning suffered an Achilles injury, which, if true, could cost him significant time. We will find out more today, but for now, consider Canning ready to join the Injured List. Here’s hoping that this is not a major injury.
Royce Lewis – 3B Minnesota Twins
Royce Lewis ran the bases pregame today and he’s scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with the St. Paul Saints on Friday.
— Bobby Nightengale (@nightengalejr) June 26, 2025
Lewis will begin his rehab assignment tonight, after steadily ramping up over the last little while. He has already surpassed the ten-day minimum here and likely won’t be back until at least the middle of next week. The hope is that he can return without any setbacks and finally get his promising career on track.
Casey Schmitt – 3B San Francisco Giants
CT scan for Schmitt came back negative, we assume that means he’s day to day.
— Susan Slusser (@susanslusser) June 26, 2025
This is great news, as it would appear that the Giants will have him man third base while Matt Chapman is out with his injury. He may need another day or two before returning, but at least it appears that he will avoid the Injured List.
Lars Nootbaar – OF St. Louis Cardinals
For those wondering why Lars Nootbaar is not in the lineup for the second straight day: It’s not bc of back-to-back lefty starters. Nootbaar had a shot to alleviate some intercostal discomfort, he’s down 48 hours but will be available in Cleveland. https://t.co/A8IfkWqcsH
— Katie Woo (@katiejwoo) June 26, 2025
While this does explain Nootbaar’s absence as of late, it doesn’t come as too much of a surprise. He is a talented player, but his injury history is quite extensive and features a multitude of body parts. Hopefully, this doesn’t require too much more time away from the team before a return, and he can get back to his somewhat breakout season.
