Week 2 Tight End Streamers
Juwan Johnson
If you were reading this last week, then you got the inside scoop. Johnson came out of Week 1 as the top PPR tight end, and honestly, his day could’ve been even bigger if he hadn’t dropped what should’ve been the game-tying touchdown in the final seconds. Still, he produced 8 catches for 76 yards in a tough 20-13 loss to Arizona. With Spencer Rattler looking his way often, Johnson profiles as a steady target. Juwan is not an every-week starter just yet, but totally capable of doing it again against the Niners.
Zach Ertz
Ertz is 34 but still making noise in Washington. He caught 3 passes for 26 yards and the only TD toss from Jayden Daniels in Week 1. As a red zone threat, Ertz is capable of providing a solid weekly floor anytime the Commanders are inside the red zone. Commanders is set to square off against the Packers on Thursday night.
Harold Fannin Jr.
When Cleveland spent a third-round pick on Fannin this spring, most people thought he was more of a dynasty play. After all, he racked up insane volume at Bowling Green (117 catches last year), but with Njoku ahead of him and a crowded receiver room, early opportunity didn’t seem likely.
It might be the start of a youth movement in Cleveland as Fannin played 72% of the snaps in Week 1, ran a route on 63% of Joe Flacco’s drop-backs, and led the team with a 21.4% target share. He caught 7 of 9 targets for 63 yards, while also logging every single red zone snap.
Fannin looked like the focal point of the game plan. The matchup in Week 2 is brutal against Baltimore, a defense that allowed the fifth-lowest TE target rate last season. Still, the Browns will likely be trailing, which opens the door for garbage-time volume.
For the moment, Fannin is more than just Njoku’s backup. Picking him up makes sense but don’t break your budget acquiring him in FAAB leagues or No. 1 waiver claim. We do know that the Browns clearly want to use him like he was in college — all around the formation as a matchup-based piece. With his Week 1 usage, he’s a stash at worst and could push into low-end TE1 territory if this keeps up.

Week 2 Tight End Sleepers
Mason Taylor
The box score is a bit misleading on this one. Mason Taylor, the rookie out of LSU was drafted by New York with the 42nd overall pick. He only saw 1 target but was deployed as a full-time player (87.5% snap rate). Jeremy Ruckert had 2 targets but ran fewer routes. Justin Fields looked sharp in Week 1, and Taylor’s role should grow as the year goes on. Outside of Garrett Wilson, the Jets are looking for someone to step up. Pick him up now while he’s cheap — streamer potential is coming.
Jake Tonges
If you’re in a deep league, keep an eye on Jake Tonges. An undrafted free agent in 2022, he caught all 3 of his targets in Week 1, including the game-winning TD. With George Kittle now placed on IR, Luke Farrell and Tonges could see more work. If anything, keep Tonges on your watch list.
