Last week threw the fantasy world for a whirl with Ja’Marr Chase only putting up 3.6 fantasy points, and Amon-Ra St. Brown only putting up 6.5 fantasy points. Lucky for you, if you are unsure who to start this week, I have you covered with my Week 2 Wide Receiver rankings.
We saw some upside in players like Emeka Egbuka, Ricky Pearsall and Tetairoa McMillan. Which is great if you took a shot on them in the later rounds. However, we are only one week into the season, and a lot of things can change.

Wide Receiver Notes
- Let’s start with Tyreek Hill as my WR26. I was hoping he would be higher in the rankings, but it looks like Hill could be a bust this year. Either the Colts’ defense is the real deal, or this Miami offense is just completely lost. Hill went for 40 yards on four receptions and no touchdowns. He was targeted six times. Tua Tagovailoa looked awful in this game, completing only 14 passes for 114 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. This week, the Dolphins have the Patriots, who still have an above-average defense. I wouldn’t trust Hill until the Dolphins get their offense under control.
- Next, I have Garrett Wilson as my WR12 going against the Bills. I was not a believer in any of the Jets’ offense this season, but Justin Fields proved me wrong. Wilson had nine targets and went for 95 yards on seven receptions and one touchdown. The Jets also went up against a tough Steelers defense, and I expect them to still be productive against the Bills. Just last week, the Bills gave up 143 receiving yards and a touchdown to Zay Flowers. I don’t expect Wilson to have that stat line, but it looks like Fields is going to heavily target Wilson this season.
- Lastly, I have A.J. Brown as my WR17. It might be time to put the panic meter on for Brown. The Eagles are a run-first team, and in what was a close game against the Cowboys, the Eagles only threw the ball 23 times. But ran the ball 38 times. The thing is, Jalen Hurts is capable of throwing multiple touchdowns, but we just don’t know when. So, Brown could have a 30-point fantasy game or a 3-point fantasy game. But, after Week 1, it looks like this offense is going to be run through Saquon Barkley first.
