Fantasy Football Week 3 DST Streamers

Scoring was way up this week, with some absolute thrillers on the Sunday slate. That’s usually bad for DSTs, but if you followed my streamers, you struck gold with the Patriots and Falcons. The Bills were a stash I recommended in Week 1’s article, and they delivered against the Jets. Let’s keep it rolling by streaming the best DSTs in fantasy football in Week 3.

  • New England Patriots: 18 Points (4th)

  • Los Angeles Rams: 12 Points (8th)
  • Dallas Cowboys: 5 Points (T-20th)

Week 3 DST Streamers

Buffalo Bills (vs Miami Dolphins)

Fantrax Rostership: 93% (Other Platforms: 65% – 77%)

Things just keep going wrong for Miami. It looked like the Dolphins were finally fielding a competent offense against the New England Patriots. While the team scored 27, the offense only scored 20. Although Tua Tagovailoa threw for 315 yards and 2 TDs, he was picked off once and sacked 5 times. Things won’t get easier against a Bills defensive line boasting some serious talent. Joey Bosa, Greg Rousseau, and Daquan Jones will feast against a heavily injured Dolphins offensive line. Ed Oliver is trending towards missing the contest, and the run defense is still a concern, but not enough to deter me from liking the Bills.

Buffalo can bring plenty of pressure and turn that into a respectable DST fantasy performance in Week 3. Even if Miami can score a few times, sacks and turnovers on a messy offense should cancel most of the scoring out. The Bills are not available in many Fantrax leagues, but I included them anyway because of their rostership on some other platforms.

Green Bay Packers (at Cleveland Browns)

Fantrax Rostership: 82% (Other Platforms: 45% – 55%)

It’s unlikely that the Packers are available in your league, but they are only the 9th most highly rostered DST on Fantrax and have more availability on some other platforms. Fantasy managers may have been scared away by the Commanders and dropped them last week. If by some miracle you can grab them, hold them as long as you can. Green Bay added Micah Parsons to an already top-10 defense. They currently rank 1st in DVOA and 6th in EPA/play. They have only produced solid returns as a fantasy football DST, but that was against two incredible offenses in the Lions and Commanders.

The Packers head to Cleveland and then Dallas before a bye week. After that, they’ll face the Bengals without Joe Burrow, the Cardinals, the Steelers, and the Panthers. After that, the schedule does get a bit more difficult, but they should return fair results even in tougher matchups. With an elite matchup against an awful Browns team this week, and some other putrid offenses in the first half of the season, you should snatch up the Packers DST should they ever become available.

Seattle Seahawks (vs. New Orleans Saints)

Fantrax Rostership: 47% (Other Platforms: 27% – 68%)

The Seahawks were a recommended stash last week against the Steelers, and they finished as the week’s DST3 in the road victory. They now face a New Orleans team that has been more difficult than expected for DSTs. The 49ers DST only scored 5 on the road against them in Week 2, and the Cardinals scored 6 in Week 1. The difference is that those defenses had more value solely because of the matchup. Mike Macdonald’s Seahawks unit is a different beast. They ranked 10th in DVOA in 2024, and he turned the Baltimore Ravens into the league’s best in 2023 as their defensive coordinator. This year, they have not missed a step, allowing only 17 points in each of their two games to start 2025.

Spencer Rattler has been taking care of the football. After a rookie season where he threw only 4 TDs to 5 INTs and 4 lost fumbles, he has not recorded a single turnover in his sophomore year. His sack rate has almost been cut in half, and he already has 3 passing TDs. The small sample size should still make people question the Saints. They started 2024 even hotter and then fizzled out early in the year. This is their first away game of the year, and a unit that rattled a veteran in Aaron Rodgers. Their fantasy performance was boosted by a head-scratching fumble recovered for a TD on a kickoff but they are not frauds. Whether you stashed them last week or picked them up in Week 3, stream the Seahawks DST with confidence.

Washington Commanders (vs Las Vegas Raiders)

Fantrax Rostership: 30% (Other Platforms: 12% – 48%)

The Raiders used to be a team you could target almost any week. That may still be true, but QB Geno Smith gives them more upside each week. Smith has had a rollercoaster of a career but finally looked like an above-average starter when he got a chance in Seattle. He has mostly taken care of the football, only combining for 35 INTs on over 1,600 pass attempts. However, it’s hard to know which version of Geno you will get every week. He leads the league in interceptions with 4 so far. That is bolstered by a pitiful game against the Chargers on Monday Night Football, but he didn’t look like a world-beater in Week 1. Although he carved up the Patriots in his Raiders debut, he only threw 1 TD while throwing an interception and getting sacked 4 times. The Patriots DST was tied for 8th that week.

Washington’s defense isn’t special by any means. They can beat up on weaker opponents, but will struggle to contain great offenses on a weekly basis. They allowed the Green Bay Packers to march up and down the field last Thursday, and have yet to record a takeaway. It was always their offense that excelled. Their DST will not be stream-worthy very often, but they are widely available and can take advantage of an inconsistent QB in Geno Smith. With the Raiders’ run game continuing to struggle, expect a solid performance from Washington.

Atlanta Falcons (at Carolina Panthers)

Fantrax Rostership: 24% (Other Platforms: 1% – 4%)

Could the Falcons be legit? After allowing 23 points to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1 – a game where they still did well but handed them great field position – Atlanta stomped the Vikings. I was willing to stream the Falcons going up against a Vikings offense that started slow in Week 1 and didn’t show up until the 4th quarter. That worked out, but I won’t expect top-end results every time.

The Carolina Panthers may not boast a top offense but they can put points on the board. Bryce Young has seen a significant rise in his passing TDs per attempt, as well as his passing yards per game. The Panthers have done a lot to surround him with talent, including drafting WR Tetairoa McMillan with the 8th overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. “Tet” has been producing immediately. While the team has had mixed results in their first two games, this is a divisional game and the Panthers’ first home game of the season. The Falcons need to show us that they can play great defense on a consistent basis before they can be fully trusted, but even a budding Panthers offense is still prone to mistakes. This is a streamable week for the Falcons DST but not as good as last week.

Indianapolis Colts (at Tennessee Titans)

Fantrax Rostership: 21% (Other Platforms: 7% – 37%)

Should QBs sit and develop more? I don’t find it beneficial to throw Cam Ward to the wolves every week and expect him to improve faster than usual. Through two games, the 2025 1st overall pick has thrown for 287 yards and 1 TD total. He hasn’t added anything on the ground, and the Titans have yet to score 20 points this season. That’s mostly to be expected for the worst team in the league last season. Improvement should eventually come, especially against an “easier” defense in the Indianapolis Colts. However, mild success does not sink a DST’s week.

The few positives we can say about Ward are that he hasn’t been a complete detriment by turning the ball over through the air. However, a 50.8% completion percentage and 11 total sacks does not help keep an offense on the field. There is plenty of blame to go around on the team but that’s not important. What is important is that the Colts are the team that gets to go out and sack Ward this week. I don’t fully trust this Colts team yet, but you have to take opportunities when they present themselves. At only 21% rostership, you could do a lot worse. Stream the Colts DST in Week 3.

Defenses to Stash

Detroit Lions

Fantrax Rostership: 59% (Other Platforms: 63% – 70%)

After playing two NFC North teams to start the season, the Lions get three straight AFC North games. A challenge awaits them on Monday Night Football when they take on the Baltimore Ravens. After that, though, they come home to face the lowly Cleveland Browns. Cleveland has yet to score more than 17 points this season and that may not change for a while. Joe Flacco is a pass-happy QB, throwing the ball exactly 45 times in each of his two contests, but he isn’t lighting the league on fire at 40 years old. The former Raven has thrown 2 TDs and 3 INTs while getting sacked 4 times this year. Even in his best years, he was never a rushing threat.

The Lions have a good defense and can pay off in Week 4 against Cleveland. You might even be able to use them in Week 5 against a Burrow-less Bengals team. If they get dropped ahead of the game against the Ravens, they’re worth a stash in Week 3.
