Fantasy Football 2025: Week 5 RB Rankings

The rookie RBs are leading the way as I roll into my Week 5 RB rankings. If you held out hope and kept players like Omarion Hampton, Ashton Jeanty, Quinshon Judkins, and even RJ Harvey. Hampton looks like he can be a workhorse RB, and Judkins has looked nothing but spectacular since joining the team.

The RB room is shallow this season, as it gets harder to find that workhorse back. But, lucky for you, I have you covered with my top-60 RBs going into Week 5.

Running Back Notes

  • Let’s start with Travis Etienne Jr. as my RB15 going against the Chiefs. Etienne was written off after last season. But, he is the RB9 on the season, averaging 15.9 fantasy points per game. This is also someone you probably got in the eighth round or later in drafts. He doesn’t look like he is going to slow up anytime soon, going against the Chiefs this week, who are giving up 21.7 fantasy points per game to RBs. Etienne is the clear number one in this backfield as he outcarried Bhayshul Tuten 19 to four. Etienne is averaging 6.1 yards per carry on a total of 65 attempts. Etienne is a must-start in all leagues this week.
  • Next, I have Jacory Croskey-Merritt as my RB33 going against the Chargers. Croskey-Merritt looked like he was going to be the pickup of the year, but since Week 1, he has yet to score in the double digits. This week, he has a tough matchup against a tough Chargers run defense. Their defense is only giving up 12.8 fantasy points per game to RBs. That is the second-best defense in the league. I will bench this week.
  • Lastly, I have Cam Skattebo as my RB17 against the Saints. Skattebo is getting the volume now that Tyrone Tracy Jr. is out. Skattebo is a great flex option this week as he is set to have another 15-plus rushing attempts. The Saints are also giving up 21.9 fantasy points per game to RBs.
