Week 6 Quarterback Sleepers and Streamers

Week 6 is upon us, and our Quarterback Sleepers and Streamers have never looked better than they did last week. We had a 75% hit rate for Week 5, with all of our wins being in the Top-10 at the position!

Matthew Stafford got the party started on Thursday night, when he threw for 389 yards and 3 touchdowns, finishing as the QB6 going into Monday Night.

Tua Tagovailoa was right behind him as the QB7, also finishing with 3 passing touchdowns and 256 yards through the air.

Jared Goff rounds out our wins as the QB9. He had 3 passing touchdowns himself, and likely could have had a fourth, but David Montgomery got to throw one on a trick play.

Our lone loss was Kyler Murray, who finished outside of the top-half at the position, but still registered 15 points, which certainly didn’t lose you the week. Had Marvin Harrison Jr. not been dragged down on the 1-yard line, we would be looking at Kyler differently this morning, but hey, that’s fantasy Football for ya!

Current Season Tally: 15-7

Now, let’s see if we can keep this train rolling and continue racking up the W’s with our Week 6 Quarterback Sleepers and Streamers!

Week 6 Quarterback Sleepers

Jared Goff @ Kansas City Chiefs

That’s right, we’re going right back to the well with Jared Goff this week. The Chiefs have a strong pass defense and are going to try everything they can to slow this game down. I’m not exactly sure they’ll be able to, though.

They are currently firing on all cylinders in Motor City, and Goff keeps looking better and better. He completed 82% of his passes in the Week beatdown of the Bengals and was the QB9, on only 23 pass attempts. Goff actually hasn’t had to throw for 30 or more attempts since Week 1. The Bengals were able to sack him 4 times, but those are the first sacks he’s taken since Week 1 as well.

We would expect the Chiefs to be able to keep this one closer, as well as being able to provide more pressure. In turn, Goff should need to throw more on Sunday Night. I can see this game being an all-around barn burner, but the good news is that if the Lions do get another big lead, they don’t let up at all.

Jordan Love vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Targeting the Bengals with your Quarterback matchup has been fruitful so far, so let’s keep at it. The Bengals are currently giving up the fourth-most passing yards and third-most passing touchdowns per game. Before the Bye in Week 5, Jordan Love hit his first 300+ yard game of the season.

The big fear here is that the Packers will run the ball a lot if they are playing from the big lead that we expect. I think the Packers still have some things to figure out in their passing attack, though, and this could be a prime opportunity for them to try out some new looks coming off their Bye Week.

I wouldn’t expect this to be the biggest game of the year for Love, but he should have every opportunity to put up points.

Week 6 Quarterback Streamers

Sam Darnold @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Who else got to watch Darnold blow up on their bench in Week 5? Probably not many of you, since he’s only rostered in about 15% of leagues. That roster percentage betrays just how good Darnold has been on the field in 2025.

His QB3 finish in Week 5 is his best Fantasy performance in 2025 by a long shot, but he’s been an extremely effective NFL quarterback in every game except Week 1. He’s completing 73% of his passes so far this year and has a 9-3 touchdown-to-interception ratio. Both of those numbers are better than his season averages during his magical year in 2024 (and lightyears ahead of his early career).

The biggest downside between this year and last is his rushing. He averaged just under 4 rushing attempts per game in 2024. So far, he is at 0.5 attempts per game in 2025.

It’s entirely possible that this is another career year for the former #1 pick, especially if he can start running more, and I would expect him to be playable if you need somebody most weeks. While he might never reach the heights that he did in Week 5, the bust games should also be few and far between.

Spencer Rattler vs. New England Patriots

Rattler is a player that I’ve considered for my longshot call for the past few weeks, but now is when I finally pull the trigger.

The Saints are currently 6th in pass attempts per game, and Rattler only has one game with fewer than 30 attempts. He’s also averaging 4.4 rushing attempts.

These numbers haven’t exactly turned into much production, however, as Week 5 was his highest yardage on the season, but still only 225 yards. He also has just 1 multi-touchdown game on the year so far. Despite his passing frequency, he’s only thrown 1 interception so far, so it’s not like he’s been terrible.

New England has a pretty good defense, but Rattler has already faced many this season, so I wouldn’t be overly concerned by them. They’ll also be coming off the rivalry game high, and might be looking past NOLA a bit too much.

Another yellow flag is the return of Taysom Hill. It seems the new coaching regime is going to let him keep peppering in QB snaps just like he’s always done, so that could hurt Rattler’s volume slightly. On the flip side, some more offensive creativity could open things up for Rattler more.

While I don’t think Rattler is the QB of the future in New Orleans, he’s played well enough that the team is still holding off on Tyler Shough. I bet Rattler is starting to feel the seat getting warm, though, so a big game is in order to stave off the rookie. I think he lives up to the pressure in Week 6.
