This Sleeper and Streamers column has already reached Week 6! Our running backs did not produce as they should have in Week 5. Woody Marks had a great opportunity to do so, and it was Nick Chubb who played well. Chubb stole the show and finished as the RB23. Marks finished as the RB52! Kendre Miller did nothing, and Trey Benson went to the IR.
Cam Skattebo now has four consecutive games of 13 or more fantasy points. He should be in your lineups, weekly. He runs hard and has pass-catching ability.

Week 6 Running Back Sleepers
Hassan Haskins @ Miami Dolphins
Omarion Hampton is going on the IR. Rico Dowdle had over 200 rushing yards against the Miami Dolphins in Week 5. Hassan Haskins is next up for the Los Angeles Chargers and will be their RB1. The Dolphins are allowing over 27 fantasy PPG to opposing running backs. Haskins will finish as the RB20 or better in Week 6. Expect the Chargers to blow the Dolphins out. If it is a close game, expect Haskins to still perform well. The Dolphins cannot stop the run.
If Haskins does not take over, Kimani Vidal is a great option, too. He is set to be the RB2 behind Haskins this upcoming week. Regardless, the Dolphins’ run defense is like my hair. It is not there. Be comfortable starting either one of them.
Michael Carter @ Indianapolis Colts
Michael Carter filled in for the injured Trey Benson in Week 5. He finished with 18.3 fantasy points and was the RB9. Emari Demarcado is most likely in the doghouse, too. He had a chance for a 70-yard+ touchdown, but let go of the ball just before crossing the goal line. He ended up having fewer than five carries. Despite the Indianapolis Colts being one of the better teams in defending RBs, Carter gets fantasy points with receptions, too. Keep him in your lineup for Week 6.

Week 6 Running Back Streamers
Jacory Croskey-Merritt vs. Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears and the Washington Commanders had one of the best games of the 2024 season. Now, the Commanders have Jacory Croskey-Merritt. JCM had played fairly well through four games this season. In Week 5, he exploded. He finished as the RB5 and had 27 fantasy points. Also, he had 150 total yards, 111 of them being rushing yards. The Bears are allowing over 29 fantasy PPG to the position. JCM is one of the better streamers you can start in Week 6.
JCM was the talk of training camp, and everyone was waiting for this breakout game and it finally happened. With the injury to Omarion Hampton, JCM should be competing with Quinshon Judkins and Ashton Jeanty as the rookie RB1 for fantasy football.
Carolina Panthers RBs vs Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys are a bottom-six team against RBs. They are allowing 26 fantasy PPG to the position. Chuba Hubbard will be able to produce, but consensus probably wants Rico Dowdle to be the RB1 in Week 6. Dowdle had 32.4 fantasy points against the Dolphins. He had over 200 rushing yards. It was the best game of his career. Even if Hubbard comes back from injury, I can’t see a world where Dowdle does not get significant playing time.
