As we roll into Week 8, my RB rankings are significant for fantasy owners with this major bye week. The bye week leaves teams without Jahmyr Gibbs, David Montgomery, Travis Etienne, Aston Jeanty, Kyren Williams, and Zach Charbonnet. You will likely need a replacement this week. This is why these rankings will be key to your Week 8 victory.

Running Back Notes
- Let’s start with Christian McCaffrey as my RB1 this week. McCaffrey is flat out the best fantasy RB this year. Jonathan Taylor is slightly higher than McCaffrey in total points, but it is McCaffrey who is the most consistent. McCaffrey has yet to score under 18 fantasy points and has yet to finish outside the top 10 each week. I expect McCaffrey to have another huge game against the Texans, as he is the whole offense.
- Next, I have Rico Dowdle as my RB18 this week, going against the Bills. The Bills are giving up 23.9 fantasy points per game to RBs this year. That is the fifth most this season. Dowdle did split carries with Chuba Hubbard, but it was Dowdle who led the team and was the more efficient one. Dowdle outcarried Hubbard 17 to 14. Dowdle also averaged 4.6 yards per carry while Hubbard only had 2.2. All signs point to Dowdle being the lead back this week and should have a big game.
- Lastly, I have Saquon Barkley as my RB10 going against the Giants. Normally, this would be an RB1 or 2 spot for Barkley. But this season is different for the Eagles. Barkley is only averaging 3.3 yards per carry and has only four total touchdowns on the season. Now, he is still in the top-10 this week as the Giants are giving up just under 20 fantasy points per game to RBs. Barkley has been in a slump the last two weeks, but this could be the week he breaks out against his former team.
