Week 8 FanDuel NFL Player Props: Taylor Dominates

All we can do is keep things moving throughout the season. It’s a slow climb towards building a bankroll, and that’s what took place in Week 7. Our FanDuel NFL player props went 2-1 as Oronde Gadsden smashed through his yardage number. All that kept us from a perfect week was Sam LaPorta having a dud of a game with only 15 receiving yards. Now, let’s jump right into our Week 8 NFL Player Props utilizing FanDuel Sportsbook.

Week 8 NFL Player Props (FanDuel Sportsbook)

Jonathan Taylor Over 100.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

Admittedly, this is a large player prop for Jonathan Taylor. But if anyone is up to the task, it would be Taylor. And with the Indianapolis Colts facing the Tennessee Titans this week, the opponent is perfect.

So far this season, the Titans rank 29th with 140 rushing yards allowed per game. That lines up with a Colts team that is rushing for 130 yards per game. It goes without saying that it’s Taylor who has accounted for the majority of that production.

Through seven games, Taylor has rushed 697 yards so far this season. On average, that puts him right under his player prop. However, we have to acknowledge and attack game flow this week.

With the Colts favored by 14.5 points, they should be in control of the game from the outset. That means the second half of the game should quickly turn into Indianapolis controlling the game and relying on the run game. And prior to that point, Taylor should be responsible for building that lead.

Tez Johnson Over 41.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

Let’s make it four weeks in a row that Tez Johnson hits his player prop. The Tampa Bay receiving corps has been decimated by injury, and it’s a become a next man up and last man standing situation. That’s what brings us to Johnson.

There’s still a lot to like in Tampa Bay’s passing offense led by Baker Mayfield. Johnson has stepped up and has four catches in two of his last three games. In those games, Johnson finished with 59 and 58 receiving yards. That sandwiched a game in which he caught just one pass, but at 45 yards, it would have been enough to surpass his player prop.

Xavier Legette Over 32.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

Let’s make it two weeks in a row. In fact, it would be just the second week this season, but Xavier Legette is in a strong position to surpass his player prop. But with nine catches for 92 yards last week, Legette enters Week 8 with plenty of momentum.

Since Legette was drafted in the first round last year, we’ve been waiting for the receiver to break out. The pieces are there, and last week, Legette put them all together. Granted, it came against the New York Jets, and this week’s opponent, the Buffalo Bills, is a lot more difficult. However, the Carolina Panthers are 3-0 at home. While we aren’t looking for them to pull an upset over the Bills, the Panthers will need to rely on the passing game.

With dependable veteran Andy Dalton under center, the Panthers’ passing offense should be sufficient. At this player prop, Legette can reach the mark in one or two catches.
