G5 Waiver Wire Adds

Quarterbacks

Joe Fagnano, University of Connecticut (UConn)

Fantrax Rostership: 17%
Total Fantasy Points: 27.6
Fantasy Points Per Game: 220.9

Joe Fagnano has been on fire lately. For example, he has scored 118.34 fantasy points in the past three weeks (38.6, 46.98, and 32.76). UConn has a Week 10 date with the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB). UAB is allowing 31.52 points per game to opposing quarterbacks, which ranks 11th worst in the nation. Thus, look for Joe Fagnano to stay HOT, as Fagnano is an excellent G5 Waiver Wire Add.

Cale Hellums, Army

Fantrax Rostership: 9%
Total Fantasy Points: 19.1
Fantasy Points Per Game: 133.5

Cale Hellums is fourth in the nation in rushing yards per game with 86.46. His 21.14 rushing attempts per game leads the nation in that category. Given that Army plays Air Force in Week 10, Cale Hellums should be an instant G5 Waiver Wire Add this week. Air Force is allowing 35.21 points per game to opposing quarterbacks. However, Hellums is unique in that he runs WAY more than he passes. Don’t worry, though, as Air Force allows 34.09 points per game to the running back position. All in all, I look for Cale Hellums to smash in Week 10.

Running Backs

Jekail Middlebrook, Middle Tennessee

Fantrax Rostership: 30%
Total Fantasy Points: 16.3
Fantasy Points Per Game: 113.9

The fact that Jekail Middlebrook has stayed under my roster percentage threshold in leagues this far into the season is crazy to me. Middlebrook has produced fantasy outings of 25.1, 14.2, and 23.1 points over Middle Tennessee’s last three games. Jekail’s 99.67 yards per game is 31st in the nation and his 95.76 weighted opportunity share is 24th in the nation. If you are worried about Middle Tennessee being down and needing to play from behind, don’t be. As a matter of fact, Middlebrook is leading the nation in targets per game from the running back position with 5.67 targets. Another key point is that Middle Tennessee faces off against Jacksonville State in Week 10. The Gamecocks allow 27.33 points per game to opposing running backs. All in all, Week 10 is setting up for Jekail Middlebrook to be a great G5 Waiver Wire Add.

Gabriel Benyard, Kennesaw State

Fantrax Rostership: 24%
Total Fantasy Points: 16.3
Fantasy Points Per Game: 113.9

Gabriel Benyard is one of those players who has dual eligibility in Fantrax. While Benyard is a wide receiver, you can put him in your running back position. Week 10 waivers are rough for the running back position; thus, I like adding and playing Gabriel Benyard in the running back spot. Benyard has had fantasy outputs of 15.6, 19 and 14.7 points over Kennesaw State’s last three games. His 26.5% target share is best on the team. Kennesaw State faces off against the University of Texas El Paso (UTEP) in Week 10. UTEP allows 31.13 points per game to opposing wide receivers. Look for the Owls to target Benyard the most in the passing game, therefore making Gabriel Benyard a G5 Waiver Wire Add this week.

Wide Receivers

Chauncy Cobb, Arkansas State

Fantrax Rostership:5%
Total Fantasy Points: 14.2
Fantasy Points Per Game: 113.5

Chauncy Cobb is an excellent G5 Waiver Wire Add for Week 10. Cobb has been a great point per reception wide receiver. In his last four games he has amassed 33 receptions. Despite being the number two option, behind Corey Rucker, Cobb is leading the Red Wolves in receptions with 40 and yards with 474. Cobb’s 67.71 yards per game is 64th in the nation. Arkansas State will go up against Troy in Week 10. Troy is allowing 31.39 points per game to opposing wide receivers. Given that, Chauncy Cobb is a name to scoop up and start in Week 10.

Iverson Hooks, University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB)

Fantrax Rostership: 19%
Total Fantasy Points: 18.2
Fantasy Points Per Game: 127.7

If you are looking for the potential of a BOOM week, look at Iverson Hooks. For example, Hooks has scored 11.1, 12 and 46.2 points in the last three weeks. Hooks has seen nine targets in four of his last five games. You can feel comfortable you will get 10-13 points from Hooks each week, but there is a potential for more! What changed prior to his 46.2-point performance? New Head Coach. New quarterback. Was it a fluke? Is this sustainable? I am not sure, but I can certainly say I would not expect 46.2 points on a regular basis.

UAB plays the University of Connecticut (UConn) this week. UConn is allowing wide receiving rooms to score 35.61 points per game. Since Hooks is leading the team in targets per game, receptions per game, and touchdowns, Iverson Hooks provides you a safe floor. At any rate, if you need a BOOM week from a wide receiver that you can find off waivers, Iverson Hooks is emphatically the wide out you should grab as your G5 Waiver Wire Add!

Tight Ends

Gavin Harris, New Mexico State

Fantrax Rostership: 8%
Total Fantasy Points: 9.3
Fantasy Points Per Game: 65.2

Firstly, let’s look for a team that likes to target the tight end position to the tune of 16th in the nation in target percentage. Secondly, this team is throwing the ball the 17th most in the country at a clip of 34.67 times per game. Additionally, this tight end is fourth in the nation in receiving yards per game, with 53.83. Finally, this team plays an opponent in Week 10 who is 11th worst in the G5 in terms of points allowed to the tight end position. Usage coupled with the opponent makes New Mexico State tight end, Gavin Harris, my G5 Waiver Wire Add you should be on the lookout for.
