You’ve made it to Week 10! With all of the recent injuries, by-weeks, and surprises, there’s a good chance your playoff hopes are still up in the air. We saw some more starting quarterbacks go down in Week 9, which means there’s a good chance you’ll be playing a streamer this week.

Well, you’re in luck, because we are coming off one of our best week’s when it comes to our QB calls.

Week 9 Recap

We had a great set of calls for Week 9, hitting on 3 out of 4!

Daniel Jones was our lone “bad” call. He hit 14 points and certainly didn’t lose you the week, but he finished outside of the top half at the position. Had it not been for his 3 interceptions, we would have had a perfect week.

Our good calls certainly didn’t disappoint, though. All three finished in the Top 6 at the position heading into Monday Night.

Caleb Williams was the #1 QB of the week. He threw for 280 yards and 3 touchdowns, while also receiving one. He won’t get to play the Bengals every week, but hopefully you got to enjoy this one.

Jaxson Dart came in at QB#5. He threw for 2 scores while also running 1 in. His schedule gets easier as the season goes on. He should be a near lock moving forward.

Sam Darnold had one of the best real-world performances on the week. He only threw 3 total incompletions on the night, ultimately throwing for 330 yards with 4 touchdowns and an interception. That pick came late and was his only blemish on the night. If not for that one bad throw, he would have been Top 3.

Current Season Tally: 24-14

Let’s keep this train rolling into Week 10!

Week 10 Quarterback Sleepers

Bo Nix, Denver Broncos QB vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Nix has had a pretty up-and-down season so far, but he has been pretty predictable. Against better defenses, he has struggled, while he’s put up some monster games against weaker opponents. The Raiders should be viewed as a weaker opponent.

The defense in Las Vegas hasn’t been particularly bad, but the offense has been so poor that the defense just can’t stay off the field. Going up against Denver, I would assume the team will have the same issues in this one. Even if they can stop Nix at times, he should have too many opportunities to succeed.

In 9 games, Nix has attempted fewer than 30 passing attempts just twice. He has exceeded 40 attempts three times. His rushing attempts have come down in recent weeks, but rushing is still in his wheelhouse. He’s still attempting nearly 5 rushing attempts per game, for a solid 4.9 yard average.

The biggest fear in this one is that the Raiders won’t be able to do enough to keep it competitive. The Broncos are happy to win on the backs of their defense. Vegas is coming off a high-scoring game, so let’s hope they can carry some of that fire into Week 10.

Jordan Love, Green Bay QB vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Love had his best performance of the season in Week 8. He followed that up with his worst performance of the year in Week 9. This was the first week of the year that Love failed to throw for a touchdown.

He has three games with under 200 yards this season, but also has 2 where he’s gone over 300.

Moving forward, the Packers will be without TE Tucker Kraft for the rest of the season with a knee injury. Kraft has been the top weapon in their passing attack this year. Josh Jacobs has also been nursing some injuries. Those haven’t forced him to miss any games, but could pressure the team to throw a bit more than usual.

The Eagles’ defense has been fairly middle-of-the-road. While they aren’t the easiest matchup, they aren’t the juggernauts we saw last year either. The Philly offense is good enough to score on Green Bay and should keep things competitive.

The Packers likely overlooked the Panthers in Week 9, which resulted in Love’s bad game. I wouldn’t think they overlook the Eagles. They’ll need to score to keep up in this one, and that should come from Love’s arm.

Week 10 Quarterback Streamers

Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks QB vs. Arizona Cardinals

Sometimes, you just need to ride the hot hand. While you may look at Darnold’s Week 9 performance and think it was a fluke that he can’t repeat, it actually wasn’t even his best performance of the year. Week 9 was Darnold’s second four-touchdown performance of the year. It was also the 4th time he’s surpassed 295 yards.

Darnold is currently completing over 70% of his passes on the season, with a 16 to 5 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He’s taken only 9 sacks this year. The only real spot for improvement would be if he starts running more. While he’s done a bit more in the past, the team doesn’t need him to, so we shouldn’t expect that to change.

The Cardinals, meanwhile, are giving up the 9th most passing yards this season. They’ve also struggled to keep their offense on the field.

While I feel the Seahawks would like to run it more than they have been, both Walker and Charbonnet have been less than stellar. Their lack of efficiency has led the team to put more on Darnold’s shoulders.

The Seahawks are real contenders this year, due largely to the play of Darnold. His career renaissance is in full swing, and he should be viewed as a potential streamer just about every week.

J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings QB vs. Baltimore Ravens

It takes a certain amount of courage to play a QB in their 4th career start, especially when they failed to throw for 160 yards in any of the previous 3. Now, I’m not sure I’m a super brave person, but I have leagues with enough injuries that I’m being forced to pretend this week.

On the positive side, McCarthy has one of the best one-two punches in the league at the receiver position in Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison.  The team also has Aaron Jones who is a great receiving back who can serve as McCarthy’s safety outlet. McCarthy is also known to run and had 9 rushes in his first week back in action.

Another good sign is that the Ravens defense is a shell of what we expected coming into this season. Baltimore is currently giving up the fifth most passing yards per game. They are still a high-powered offense, though, and should be able to score on Minnesota. The Vikings will need to throw early and often to keep up.

I’m not calling for this to be a monster game by any means, but if you find yourself having to play a streamer, McCarthy should do enough this week to help you get by.
