Unfortunately, it was a cold dose of reality last week. Christian McCaffrey picked the wrong week to struggle as a receiver and finished with just 21 yards. John Metchie allowed us to have one win as he squeaked by with four catches. Too little too late, but the New York Jets are beginning to show a semblance of a passing offense. Brock Bowers caught two touchdown passes, and he was the Las Vegas Raiders’ leading receiver, but he still came up short.
The good news is that we have another week of prop plays in front of us. Now, it’s time to jump right into our Week 14 NFL Prop Plays on DraftKings.

Week 14 NFL Prop Plays (DraftKings)
Khalil Shakir Over 44.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
Full disclosure, I wanted this to be Dalton Kincaid here. In case you hadn’t heard, the Cincinnati Bengals are terrible against tight ends. To be honest, that might be an understatement. The good news, though, is that the Bengals struggle at defending the passing game in general. That brings our attention to Khalil Shakir.
Despite Josh Allen’s overall success and Shakir’s status as one of Buffalo’s top receivers, he’s only averaging 47 receiving yards per game. Two weeks ago, Shakir had 110 receiving yards, but he followed that up last week with a dud. It was a good matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Shakir only caught one pass for five yards.
If we take a look at Shakir’s performance between Week 3 and Week 10, he finished under his prop play just once. The matchup is more than favorable here, and Shakir should bounce back after a rough Week 13.
Juwan Johnson Over 41.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
The New Orleans Saints are far from a viable team this season. However, Juwan Johnson has emerged as a bright spot in the Saints’ passing offense. Since Tyler Shough has taken over under center, Johnson has 18 catches for 202 yards as a dependable option.
However, in only two of those games did Johnson surpass his prop play with 39 and 31 yards. On the season, Johnson has a success rate of around 50%, but his role has increased as of late.
As Shough gets more comfortable, both under center and throwing to Johnson, his success rate will only increase. The good news is that he’s getting plenty of targets, which makes this an attainable number.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba Over 94.5 Receiving Yards (-111)
For much of this season, Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been a cheat code. On a consistent basis, all he did was play a game of can you top this.
Smith-Njigba is up to 1,336 receiving yards on the season, which is good for 111 yards per game. In eight of those games, Smith-Njigba has surpassed the century mark, and he has only three games in which he fell short of his receiving prop. In one of those games, it was by just two yards, and in another game, he finished with a solid 79 yards.
That then leaves last week, in which Smith-Njigba finished with two catches for 23 yards. The problem, though, was a combination of Seattle’s defense and the Minnesota Vikings’ offense. With the Seahawks winning 26-0 and the Vikings never presenting a challenge, it was as if the Seattle offense had a week off. Things should return to normal this week.
