NFL DFS Late Slate Picks Week 14

Welcome back to the Late Slate for Week 14. With injuries piling up, depth charts shifting, and playoff pressure tightening, the late games are full of value pockets and overlooked upside.

This week’s late slate is loaded with exploitable spots, underpriced upside plays, and a few high-risk dart throws that could swing tournaments if you land on the right side of variance. And let’s be honest… at this point in the season, variance is practically a member of the family.

Let’s dig in and break down the plays that can push your lineups to the top of the leaderboard in Week 14.

Week 14 NFL DFS Late Slate Picks

Quarterbacks

Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love delivered in Week 13, throwing for 234 yards and four touchdowns, precisely the kind of late-season surge we love to see. Now he gets a Week 14 matchup with a Bears defense that’s been generous to opposing quarterbacks, allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to the position. On average, Chicago is giving up 235 passing yards and two scores per game. With the matchup and momentum both working in his favor, I’m confidently firing up Jordan Love this week.

Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals

I have written about Brissett so much in the past month or so. People probably think I am a fanboy. The bottom line is that Brissett averages over 40 passing attempts per game. He has also passed for 2 touchdowns in all but one game he has started for the Cardinals this season. He has finished as a top 12 fantasy quarterback in seven straight weeks. You can not go wrong playing him, even against a good Rams defense.

Running Backs

RJ Harvey, Denver Broncos

The Broncos will play the Raiders in Week 14. The Raiders give up the twelfth most fantasy points to opposing teams’ running backs. In the past two games, the Raiders’ run defense has been absolutely destroyed by the Browns and Chargers. Both of those teams had two running backs score double-digit fantasy points against the Raiders. In Week 13, Harvey’s stat line looked like: 16 touches, 62 yards, and two touchdowns. It is clearly not a daunting match-up, and Harvey will get the touches.

Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams

The Rams will play the Cardinals in Week 14. The Cardinals give up the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing teams’ running backs. The Cardinals have given up 80 or more yards and a touchdown to a running back in four straight games. If Williams cannot go for any reason, I would be playing Blake Corum in every DFS lineup possible. The matchup is that good. Start Williams with confidence.

Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders play the Broncos in Week 14, and the Broncos have an excellent defense. This Broncos defense is good at stopping both the run and the pass. In Week 10 against the Broncos, Jeanty managed 63 total yards and a touchdown on 22 total touches. Look for Jeanty to see similar volume in Week 14.

Wide Receivers

Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers

Christian Watson commanded serious volume in Week 13, earning 10 targets good for a 33% target share and turning them into four catches, 80 yards, and a touchdown. Now he heads into a Week 14 matchup with the Bears, who are allowing the third-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. With the combination of elite usage and a defense that routinely gets beaten on the perimeter, it’s elementary, my dear Watson: the volume plus the matchup should once again equal strong fantasy production.

Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams

Adams leads all wide receivers in the NFL with 14 touchdowns this season. He has two touchdowns in each of the last two games. Matthew Stafford looks for him in the red zone. It looks to me like Adams will be scoring another touchdown in Week 14 against the Cardinals. This guy must be eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner with Matthew Stafford.

Michael Wilson, Arizona Cardinals

You know what is fun to do? If you play Davante Adams, it is fun to run it back with someone on the opposite side of the ball. In Week 14, that is Michael Wilson. Marvin Harrison is ruled out for Week 14. In the other two games that Harrison has missed, Wilson saw 33 targets. The volume will be there. The Cardinals will have to pass the ball to stay in the game. I would play Wilson in a stack with Jacoby Brissett.

Tony Franklin, Denver Broncos

The Broncos played the Raiders in Week 10. In that game, Franklin saw nine targets. He turned those nine targets into five receptions, 40 yards, and a touchdown. The Raiders give up, on average, 13 weekly receptions, 156 yards, and a touchdown to wide receivers. This is a lovely spot to play Franklin or Courtland Sutton.

Tight Ends

Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals

McBride is simply the best tight end in fantasy this season, and it is not even close. I am not going to even think about or look at how the Rams defend tight ends. I don’t care. In the seven games Jacoby Brissett has started, McBride scored at least one touchdown in six of those games. He has seen ten or more targets in all but one game, and in that game, he had nine targets. He has surpassed double-digit fantasy points in every one of those games. McBride, you see, is the closest thing to a sure thing that there is.

Colby Parkinson, Los Angeles Rams

Parkinson has been involved in the Rams’ passing attack. HE has scored a touchdown in three of the last four games. The Cardinals, who are up this week, give up the tenth most fantasy points to opposing teams’ tight ends. If you pass McBride, I would look at Parkinson and his touchdown upside in a good match-up.

Defense

Denver Broncos

The Raiders give up the third most fantasy points to opposing teams’ defenses. When the two teams met in Week 10, the Broncos recorded six sacks, held the Raiders to 7 points, and scored 14 fantasy points. Looks for the Broncos to have a lot of sacks again in Week 14.
