It’s all about finishing the regular season strong. It was a 1-2 week, and while we aren’t in the excuses business, there was so much potential.
Wan’Dale Robinson finished just three yards short, which is never a situation you want to see. I’m not sure if that’s better or worse than Isaiah Likely not even catching a pass in what was a great matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Instead, while the Baltimore Ravens won 24-0, it came with Lamar Jackson completing just eight passes for 150 yards. The problem is that nothing went to Likely.

Week 16 NFL Player Props (FanDuel Sportsbook)
Kareem Hunt Over 27.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
With no Patrick Mahomes and their playoff chances bleak, this is not the Kansas City Chiefs team we have become accustomed to. In fact, things look very different. It’s now going to be a shift in focus, and the expectation is that the Chiefs will rely on the running game more than they usually do.
Isaiah Pacheco isn’t going anywhere, but there’s still plenty of room for both him and Kareem Hunt. With 557 rushing yards on the season, Hunt has been respectable. Last week, though, that wasn’t exactly the case as he gained just 12 yards on six carries. In the six weeks prior, Hunt would have surpassed his Week 16 prop play with varying margins.
The concern is that teams will stock the box more, but the Chiefs should also be more committed to the run. All it’s going to take from Hunt, at a minimum, is eight or nine carries, and we should be in good shape. The fact that it’s coming against a Tennessee Titans team allowing 124 rushing yards per game also helps.
Jacoby Brissett Over 249.5 Passing Yards (-114)
It was a tough matchup for Jacoby Brissett last week against a top-ranked Houston Texans defense. Despite that, even if by default, the Arizona Cardinals still leaned into the passing game. Yes, they are on their fourth-string running back, and they were trailing by a large margin, but it’s still notable that they stuck with the pass. The efficiency might not have been there, but Brissett still threw for 249 yards.
That was the first week since Brissett took the field this season that he failed to throw for 249.5 yards, and he missed it by the narrowest of margins. He should get Marvin Harrison back this wee,k which will help. The Falcons aren’t an elite defense, but they aren’t a pushover either. More than anything, it’s the commitment to the pass that helps here.
Jahmyr Gibbs Over 72.5 Yards (-114)
It’s been a rough season for the Detroit Lions, but the good news is that they return home this week. The bad news is that they are struggling, and the pressure is on. They face a Pittsburgh Steelers team that’s ranked 19th with 120 yards allowed per game.
The thought process is that it will be back to basics for both the Lions and Jahmyr Gibbs. While Gibbs is up to 1,100 yards on the season, he couldn’t get it done last week. He finished with just 38 yards on 13 carries, and he looks to get back on track in Week 16. In fact, it was the third straight week in which Gibbs would have missed his prop play.
This is a speculation on a good matchup and a Detroit team that needs to get back on track, with Gibbs a large part of that.
