Week 16 NFL DFS Late Slate Picks
Quarterbacks
Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals
In Week 16, the Cardinals will host the Falcons in Arizona. While the Falcons have shown to be average in pass defense, Jacoby Brissett has been on a tear, throwing multiple touchdowns in eight of his last nine games. His remarkable consistency provides a solid floor, averaging around 20 fantasy points per game. With the Cardinals likely to lean heavily on the passing game, Brissett’s average of 42.8 attempts per game makes him a compelling option. This isn’t just a sneaky play; he’s a reliable choice for your lineup this week.
- FanDuel $7500
- DraftKings – $5300
Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
Goff has passed for multiple touchdowns and/or over 300 yards in four straight games. In Week 16, the Lions will play the Steelers. The Steelers give up the eighth most fantasy points to opposing teams’ quarterbacks.  The Steelers have given up multiple touchdowns to quarterbacks in four straight games. With the highest over/under on the slate at 52 points, this game has shootout potential.
- FanDuel $8100
- DraftKings $6300
Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
The Broncos will play the Jaguars in Week 16. The Jaguars appear to have been tough on quarterbacks the past three games, but that is really just because the opponents were bad quarterbacks. This is actually a good match-up for Nix, and he is coming off a 304-yard, four-touchdown game. Both teams are playing for playoff seeding, and this game should be better than people expect. Do not nix Bo as a potential play in Week 16. (I know you like it when I do things like that in the last sentence)
- FanDuel $7600
- DraftKings $6100
Running Backs
Travis Etienne, Jacksonville Jaguars
Travis Etienne is the clear lead back for the Jaguars, coming off a standout performance in which he scored three receiving touchdowns. While some might be tempted to chalk this up to good fortune, we’re not simply chasing points here. With the likelihood that the Jaguars will be without another healthy running back in Week 16, Etienne is poised to receive a heavy workload. His role in the offense encompasses both rushing and receiving duties, making him a dual-threat player. Notably, he has scored 14 or more fantasy points in six of the last seven games. In short, Etienne is primed to deliver once again this week.
- FanDuel $7400
- DraftKings $7000
Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons
You can run on the Cardinals. How do I know this? Jawhar Jordan ran for 101 yards against them in Week 15. So if some guy named Jawhar can get 101 yards, Bijan Robinson should be better than that. The Cardinals you see give up the fifth most fantasy points to opposing teams’ running backs, and Robinson is one of the best running backs in the NFL. Expect Bijan to run the ball, catch some passes, and run the ball some more in Week 16.
- FanDuel $9600
- DraftKings $8700
Woody Marks, Houston Texans
If Woody can stay on the field, he can get you fantasy points in Week 16. At the moment, Woody is questionable and may miss Sunday’s game. The Texans play the Raiders on Sunday. The Raiders really cannot defend the run. A healthy Woody is a must-play. A banged-up, limp Woody means you pivot to that Jawhar Jordan guy I mentioned about (if Nick Chubb is out too). Jawhar might become a name we all know after this week, but right now it’s Woody.
- FanDuel $7100
- DraftKings $6600
Kenneth Gainwell, Pittsburgh Steelers
I love Kenny Gainwell. Especially in PPR format. DraftKings is a PPR format. He has been running the ball exceptionally well, but his involvement as a pass catcher is why I want to play him in Week 16. Gainwell leads the Steelers with 57 receptions. The Lions defend the run well, which means Gainwell will continue to see lots of action catching passes. The Steelers have been running a quick, short passing offense the past few games, and Gainwell has been the prime beneficiary of this.
- Fanduel $5800
- DraftKings $5100
Wide Receivers
DK Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers
DK Metcalf has delivered solid performances in back-to-back weeks, highlighted by a strong showing in Week 14, where he recorded seven receptions for 148 yards, followed by a Week 15 effort of 3 receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown. As he heads into Week 16, Metcalf faces a Lions defense that ranks among the most generous to wide receivers, allowing an average of 12 receptions and 172 yards per game. Additionally, this matchup features the highest over/under on the slate at 52 points, setting the stage for a potential shootout in which Metcalf could thrive.
- FanDuel $7400
- DraftKings $5400
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
Given the game’s highest over/under, if you’re starting DK Metcalf, it makes sense to pair him with Amon-Ra St. Brown. St. Brown is having a stellar season, with impressive totals of 135 targets, 94 receptions, 1,140 yards, and 11 touchdowns. In Week 16, he faces a Steelers defense that is unlikely to pose a significant challenge, as they rank among the teams allowing the eleventh most fantasy points to wide receivers. Get ready for St. Brown, affectionately dubbed the “Sun God,” to radiate in this favorable matchup.
- FanDuel $9200
- DraftKings $8400
Michael Wilson, Arizona Cardinals
I know Marvin Harrison might play this week. That may rain on the Michael Wilson volume target parade. Wilson has seen massive volume when Harrison is out. He has 27 targets over the past two games. The Falcons are up this week, and they give up the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing teams’ wide receivers. With that in mind, if Harrison plays, I will play both Michael and Marvin. If Harrison is out, Wilson is a MUST start in every single format.
- FanDuel $7200
- DraftKings $6900
Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos
Sutton has been very good over the past three games and has clearly reclaimed his number one role in the Broncos’ passing game. Sutton has a 20% target share on the season. But in the past two weeks, he has had a 30% target share. In Week 16, he is playing against a Jaguars team that is middle-of-the-road against the pass. Look for Sutton to be heavily involved in this one.
- FanDuel $6600
- DraftKings $5700
Tight Ends
Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals
Trey McBride had an outstanding performance in Week 15, recording 12 receptions for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns. Since Jacoby Brissett took over as the starting quarterback, McBride has been a force, scoring nine touchdowns across nine games. While it’s true that the Falcons surrender the second fewest fantasy points to tight ends, it’s important to note that McBride operates as a versatile TE/WR hybrid. He frequently lines up in the slot and out wide, making him a key part of the offense across various formations. As the primary target in the Cardinals’ passing attack, McBride remains a strong play against the Falcons.
- FanDuel $8800
- DraftKings $7600
Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons
Pitts has had a revival of sorts recently since Kirk Cousins has taken over at quarterback for the Falcons. This also coincides with Drake London’s absence. In Week 15, Pitts saw 12 targets, which was 27% of the Falcons’ targets. He turned that into 11 receptions, 166 yards, and three touchdowns. In Week 16, the Falcons play the Cardinals, who give up the seventh most fantasy points to opposing teams’ tight ends. Kyle is no longer the pits for fantasy.
- FanDuel $600
- DraftKings $5000
Defense
Houston Texans
The Texans have established themselves as the top fantasy defense this season. In Week 16, they face the Raiders, who rank as the most generous team in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing defenses. With the Raiders allowing an average of 3.9 sacks per game, expect the Texans to apply significant pressure on quarterback Kenny Pickett, creating opportunities for turnovers and mistakes. This matchup sets the stage for the Texans to capitalize and solidify their position as a must-start defense.Top of Form
- FanDuel $5000
- DraftKings $4000
Atlanta Falcons – Cardinals
In Week 16, the Falcons play the Cardinals, as you know from other blurbs in this article. For the season, give up the seven most fantasy points to opposing teams’ defenses. Since Brissett has taken over at quarterback, defenses average 8.8 fantasy points per game against the Cardinals. So, we should see a few sacks and an interception this week here. This is a nice low-pay option in the Late Slate to get you to 8 to 10 fantasy points.
- FanDuel $3600
- DraftKings $2700
