Dynasty Fantasy Football: 6 Underrated Assets

In the Dynasty Fantasy Football world, some players are hyped up when they don’t deserve it, and others who deserve the hype don’t get it enough. When analyzing these gaps, you can identify “buys” and “sells”. Today, we are taking a look specifically at the players who feel undervalued. We are looking at players who do not hold the market value they should. The actionable advice from here will be to go and grab them in your Dynasty Fantasy Football League if you can capitalize on these players being undervalued.

What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax this past season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune next season.

I have six players for you today: one quarterback, one running back, three wide receivers, and a tight end. This could be the start of a series looking at both buys and sells. The intent with all of my content has always been to help you “Play 2 Win”. So with that cap on, let’s dive into my six spotlights for today:

Dynasty Fantasy Football: 6 Underrated Assets

1. Brock Purdy (49ers, QB)

Brock Purdy was limited to nine games in 2025 due to a turf-toe injury. Within those nine games, Purdy produced 2,167 passing yards, 147 rushing yards, and 20 passing touchdowns. During the Fantasy Football Playoffs this year (Weeks 15-17), Purdy was on absolute fire, averaging 297.7 passing yards, 3.7 passing touchdowns, and 32 Fantasy Points. Purdy was a legitimate league-winner for Fantasy in the playoffs.

20 passing touchdowns in nine games tied what Purdy threw for in 15 in 2024. Purdy threw 31 touchdowns in 2023. Purdy rushed for 323 yards and five touchdowns in 2024. The last three seasons, Purdy has averaged 20.8 (#5), 18.6 (#10), and 19.2 (#6) Fantasy Points. Major Fantasy consistency. The 49ers will have George Kittle recovering from an Achilles injury, and the wide receiver room for 2026 seems murky, but Purdy has proven for three straight seasons to be a quality Fantasy asset. I see Purdy ranked outside of a lot of top 12 Dynasty quarterback rankings, but he is firmly within mine.

2. D’Andre Swift (Bears, RB)

After rushing for 1,049 yardswith the Eagles in 2023, D’Andre Swift signed with the Bears in 2024. Swift posted 253 rushing attempts for 959 yards, 42 catches for 386 yards, scored six touchdowns, and averaged 12.6 Fantasy PPG (#21) through 17 games. Swift then reunited with Ben Johnson, his former Lions Offensive Coordinator, in Chicago, as Johnson was hired as the new coach. Swift rushed 223 times for 1,087 yards, caught 34 balls for 299 yards, scored 10 touchdowns, and averaged 14.3 (#16) Fantasy PPG through 16 games. This production came with rookie Kyle Monangai totaling 187 touches as well. Swift finished the year rushing for 130 yards and a touchdown, and catching 2 balls for 38 yards in two NFL Playoff games.

The market seems to like the Bears’ seventh-round selection, who had surprise production as a rookie, Kyle Monangai, over Swift for Dynasty. Swift has rarely ever felt like a guy loved by the Dynasty community, even after what I thought was a very solid 2025 campaign. Through six seasons, Swift has rushed for over 1,000 yards twice, has caught 42+ passes four times, caught 62 balls back in 2021, has two seasons of 10 touchdowns scored, and has three seasons averaging 14+ Fantasy PPG. This Bears offense did a 180 in 2025 under Johnson. Swift is under contract until 2027, and Swift looked the part in 2025, so the market should really give the guy some love he deserves.

3. Chris Olave (Saints, WR)

Chris Olave finished 2025 as the WR6 in total Fantasy Points, but still feels undervalued from many Dynasty Rankings I have seen. Many view Olave outside the top 12 wide receivers for Dynasty, while he is firmly inside of mine. In 2025, Olave posted career-high’s in targets (156), receptions (100), receiving yards (1,163), receiving touchdowns (nine), and Fantasy PPG (16.8). And for these metrics vs. the position, he finished fifth in targets, fifth in receptions, seventh in receiving yards, tied for sixth in receiving touchdowns, and tied for seventh in Fantasy PPG. Olave and rookie quarterback Tyler Shough had an excellent connection that will carry into 2026.

2025 was not the only quality season we have seen out of Olave, either. Olave has played four seasons in the NFL, but only played eight games in 2024. So, looking at the three seasons of at least 15 games played, Olave has earned 119-156, caught 72-100 balls, and finished with over 1,000 receiving yards in all of them. Olave averaged 14.5 Fantasy PPG back in 2023, which ranked 19th, and 13.2 Fantasy PPG as a rookie the year prior, which ranked 25th. The 2025 season with Shough should not just be thought of as a ceiling season, and could be mirrored or bested in 2026.

4. Zay Flowers (Ravens, WR)

Zay Flowers is another wide receiver that I rarely see get any Fantasy Football respect, yet he finished as the WR7 in 2025. The Ravens selected Flowers in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, and through three seasons, Flowers has earned over 100 targets in all of them and finished with over 1,000 yards in the last two seasons. 2025 was the breakout, with Flowers catching 86 of his 118 targets for 1,211 receiving yards, he scored five touchdowns, and averaged 14.3 Fantasy PPG (#12). Flowers finished the year top 10 in yards after the catch and top 12 in yards per target, which shows some playmaking and efficiency qualities.

Flowers’ breakout year came in a season where Lamar Jackson only played 13 games. Flowers has consistently been the receiving leader for the Ravens since joining the team. Flowers has historically been utilized in many different ways, as far as where he lines up and how Baltimore gets him the ball, which shows his versatility and playmaking. Even with new coaching for 2026, I expect Flowers to continue being a focal point of this Ravens team and getting plenty of the ball. More touchdowns in a healthy Lamar season can also be a boost in 2026. The 1,200+ yard season could be a sign of even bigger days ahead.

5. Ricky Pearsall (49ers, WR)

The 49ers selected Ricky Pearsall in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but a gunshot incident impacted his rookie season, to appear in just 11 games. Pearsall capped the regular season of his rookie campaign in Weeks 17/18 with 141 and 69 receiving yards with a touchdown in each. Pearsall’s sophomore season was capped at just nine games due to a lingering PCL knee injury and a low ankle sprain. Within those nine games, Pearsall did have weeks of 108 (Week 1), 117 (Week 3), 96 (Week 15), and 85 (Week 17) receiving yards. Big signs of upside there, when healthy.

The hope is that Pearsall will play his first fully healthy season in 2026. George Kittle is spending this offseason recovering from an Achilles injury, Brandon Aiyuk is rumored to be released by the 49ers, and Jauan Jennings is set to hit Free Agency. Pearsall is going to be vital to his offense, and is a candidate to have a year three breakout for Fantasy Football, knowing the context and seeing his flashes so far.

6. Sam LaPorta (Lions, TE)

Sam LaPorta played just nine games in 2025, due to a fully herniated disk in his back that required surgery. Through those nine appearances, LaPorta finished as a top-five Fantasy tight end in four of them (44.4%) and a top-10 Fantasy tight end in five of them (55.6%). LaPorta put the league on notice in his rookie season in 2023, catching 86 of his 120 targets for 889 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, which was 14.1 Fantasy PPG (#3). LaPorta currently ranks third in targets, second in receptions, fourth in receiving yards, and first all-time for rookie tight end statistics. He did regress to 60 catches for 726 yards and scored seven touchdowns in 2024, but his 10.9 Fantasy PPG (#8) was still useful.

LaPorta does have Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams to compete with for targets when healthy in 2026, but Drew Petzing’s hire as the new Offensive Coordinator for Detroit should be encouraging for LaPorta’s stock. Petzing was the former Arizona Cardinals OC, who just had their tight end finish the year with 169 targets, 126 receptions, 1,239 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns in 2025. While LaPorta is not going to get that type of Trey McBride work and production, it is encouraging to see Petzing coming from a system that truly featured the tight end, which can be boosted in 2026 in Detroit.
