Picks from Week 6 TNF
We went 4 for 10 on our player prop picks in Week 6. Things didn’t go the way we hoped, and we may have set our expectations a little too high for some of these props. RJ Harvey came close to hitting his over 3.5 receptions but finished with just 3 as the Broncos led for most of the game. Seattle’s defense also failed to put enough pressure on Bo Nix, preventing us from getting the interception we were hoping for.
On Seattle’s side, Emanuel Wilson finished with just 52 rushing yards as the Seahawks dealt with a negative game script. George Holani took advantage of the red-zone opportunities and found the end zone, leaving Wilson without a touchdown. Speaking of Holani, he didn’t have much of a role in the passing game and failed to hit his over 1.5 receptions. AJ Barner also didn’t get the red-zone opportunities we expected, falling short of scoring a touchdown.
Let’s dive into our favorite player props for Week 7 of Thursday Night Football!

We have a battle between two of the top quarterbacks from the 2024 NFL Draft in Drake Maye and Caleb Williams.
Let’s start with the Patriots. Drake Maye has caught fire in recent weeks, but his passing yardage hasn’t been particularly high outside of Week 5. He faces a Bears defense that is getting Kyler Gordon back and has been dominant against quarterbacks at home. Chicago has not allowed an opposing quarterback to throw for more than 160 yards at home this season. Maye’s under 244.5 passing yards looks like a solid bet, especially considering he has surpassed that number in just one of his three road games. Sticking with Maye, I’m also taking the under on 20.5 completions. He has reached this line in only half of his games this season, while the Bears have held all three opposing quarterbacks under 17 completions at home. Maye could have a difficult time putting together a big passing performance in Chicago.
Tight end Hunter Henry has been solid in recent weeks and faces a Bears defense that has allowed back-to-back 60-yard performances to opposing tight ends. The return of A.J. Brown should help open up the Patriots’ offense, allowing Henry to benefit from more opportunities. I’m taking Henry over 33.5 receiving yards, a number he has surpassed in four of his six games this season. With Maye continuing to play well, Henry should have a good opportunity to produce against this secondary.
Staying with the Patriots, Demario Douglas will likely return to a full-time slot role following recent injuries to Mack Hollins and Romeo Doubs. Last week, Douglas delivered an impressive 7-reception, 86-yard performance, and he should continue to see opportunities as Maye looks his way more often. I’m taking Douglas over 37.5 receiving yards and over 3.5 receptions in this matchup. He has surpassed both lines in back-to-back games, and with more Patriots receivers landing on injured reserve, Douglas should continue to play a significant role in the passing offense.
We saw A.J. Brown return to the lineup last week, and his 10 targets were an encouraging sign for his involvement in the offense. Even more promising was the fact that three of those targets came in the red zone. The Bears have allowed outside receivers to score touchdowns in back-to-back weeks, and Brown is a primary outside receiver who is already seeing valuable scoring opportunities. I’m taking A.J. Brown to score an anytime touchdown in Week 7. With his target volume and red-zone involvement, Brown has a strong opportunity to find the end zone.
Moving on to the Bears, Caleb Williams could be in line for another strong performance. The Patriots’ secondary has struggled in recent weeks, allowing opposing quarterbacks to throw for over 240 yards in three consecutive games. Williams’ passing yardage line sits at 245.5, making this an appealing matchup. He has surpassed that number in two of his three games outside of the rain-soaked contest in which he suffered an injury. I’m taking Williams over 245.5 passing yards, as he should have an opportunity to put together a big night at home.
While I expect Williams to have success through the air, I believe his rushing production will remain limited for a few more weeks. In his first game back, Williams rushed for just three yards after totaling 107 rushing yards across Weeks 1 and 2. The Bears likely don’t want to risk another injury by giving him too many designed runs. The Patriots have also allowed the sixth-fewest rushing yards to quarterbacks, surrendering just 52 yards all season. With that in mind, I’m taking Williams under 19.5 rushing yards in Week 7.
Next up is D’Andre Swift, who received some great news with Kyle Monangai expected to miss Week 7. Swift has struggled to run efficiently throughout games, leading to inconsistent rushing totals. I’m taking Swift under 60.5 rushing yards, a number he has failed to reach in four of his six games this season. We’ve already seen Chicago willing to give Roschon Johnson additional touches in the second half when playing with a comfortable lead. That might not be ideal for Swift’s fantasy managers, but it makes his rushing under an appealing prop bet.
Finally, I’m expecting D’Andre Swift to score an anytime touchdown in Week 7. Running backs have scored a touchdown in every Thursday Night Football game this season, and Swift has a strong opportunity to keep that trend going. He saw six red-zone touches last week and has narrowly missed several touchdown opportunities throughout the season. With Monangai sidelined, Swift should continue to see valuable opportunities near the goal line. Even if his rushing yardage remains limited, I like his chances of finding the end zone on Thursday night.
I’ll My Preferred Parlay for This Matchup (+1300)
- Caleb Williams — Over 245.5 Passing Yards
- DeMario Douglas — Over 37.5 Receiving Yards
- D’Andre Swift — Anytime Touchdown
- DeMario Douglas — Over 3.5 Receptions
- Hunter Henry — Under 37.5 Receiving Yards
