MLB Injury Report
Milwaukee Brewers – Team Update

Big Brewers update here on some significant fantasy players. First, it’s good to see that Jackson Chourio is responding well to treatment; however, with an estimated return time of at least two weeks, he’s challenging to roster in leagues without IL spots if he suffers any setbacks. His progress is one to monitor. As for Sal Frelick, despite his availability, he has yet to re-enter a game since his injury. Shelby Miller started his rehab assignment last night, striking out three batters in an inning of work. He could be back very soon. Finally, Jacob Misiorowski hasn’t suffered any setbacks since going onto the Injured List, and he appears on track for a minimal absence on the Injured List.
Gleyber Torres – 2B Detroit Tigers
A.J. Hinch said Gleyber Torres reported tightness in his left forearm just before BP this afternoon.
“He said he’s felt it for a couple of days. He didn’t really love the way that he could swing, and so he thought one at-bat off the bench, if we needed it, was better. Once he…

Not necessarily the best news here for a pre-game departure. It looks like Torres has been feeling this forearm tightness for quite a while, and it’s unclear if one day off will do the trick. With Detroit having tomorrow off, there’s a good chance that he misses today’s game with the hopes of being back in the lineup for Friday. It’s an unfortunate development for fantasy players who inserted him into weekly lineups, but the hope is that they get at least a half week’s worth of production.
Shane Bieber – SP Toronto Blue Jays
Shane Bieber will pitch again Saturday in Triple-A.
“Right now, it probably looks like two more [starts],” John Schneider said. #BlueJays
— Keegan Matheson (@KeeganMatheson) August 4, 2025
This comes as somewhat of a surprise, given that most felt that Bieber was just about ready to make his return to the big leagues. However, given that he was just traded from one team to another, chances are this has more to do with his new team wanting to see more of him and possibly try something out. Essentially, it doesn’t feel like this was done due to a physical setback… hopefully.
Joey Loperfido – OF Toronto Blue Jays
Joey Loperfido had X-rays which came back negative, so it’s a “right knee contusion” for now, but one that looked awfully painful. #BlueJays
— Keegan Matheson (@KeeganMatheson) August 6, 2025
This is good news for the Blue Jays, as it doesn’t appear that Loperfido will miss much time at all, and that it is just a bruise, albeit a bad one.
Bryce Miller – SP Seattle Mariners
Bryce Miller said he’ll pitch again at Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday, with a target of roughly 65 pitches … If that goes well, it’s possible that his next outing could be back in the Majors.
— Daniel Kramer (@DKramer_) August 5, 2025
Miller seems to be on the cusp of a return to Seattle, and a performance like this could go a long way toward proving that he is ready. Should he feel great afterward, he could be in line for a start next week after being activated. Keep your eyes on the quantity and quality of his pitches.
Victor Robles – OF Seattle Mariners
Victor Robles (left shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment on Aug. 12, and mostly likely with Triple-A Tacoma, Justin Hollander just said.
Because he’s been sidelined for so long, the Mariners are targeting 40-50 at-bats before he returns.
— Daniel Kramer (@DKramer_) August 5, 2025
Robles has been out of action for most of the season, but he appears ready to try and return soon enough and be ready for the playoffs. With a workload of 40-50 at-bats on tap, he could be ready for the Mariners by the beginning of September, assuming all goes well in his rehab and he can be productive.
Thairo Estrada – 2B Colorado Rockies
So two injuries for #Rockies infield tonight. 3B Orlando Arcia left in the 5th after a single. Not sure of the injury. 2B Thairo Estrada appeared to injure his leg trying to beat out a double play in the 6th. He stepped on the bag awkwardly.
— Patrick Saunders (@psaundersdp) August 6, 2025
It’s been an injury-plagued year for Estrada, who could miss some time yet again, this time with a leg ailment. The team will hopefully send some updates throughout the day.
The Athletics – Team Update
A’s injuries:
– Brady Basso will start a rehab assignment tomorrow with Triple-A Las Vegas
– Denzel Clarke continues a running and hitting progression
– Max Muncy is going through baseball activities, still not hitting
– Luis Urías is being re-evaluated today
– Jacob Wilson is…— Martín Gallegos (@MartinJGallegos) August 5, 2025
Big update here on a ton of injuries for the Athletics. From a fantasy perspective, both Denzel Clarke and Max Muncy seem to be far away from returning, with Clarke farther along in his progression. It’s unclear when either will return, though it feels like September would be the best bet. As for Jacob Wilson, he remains on track to return this season, but the exact date of his return remains to be seen. He has yet to resume hitting, and that hurdle, when crossed, will be a big one.
