Week 12 EPL Waiver Wire comes on the heels of another international break, with players coming in and out of injuries.
Week 11 suggestion, Mateus Fernandes, scored double-digit Fantrax points (even without a goal and with a yellow) in a big 3-2 win. Freddie Potts was forced off after 60 minutes, but still managed just under 10 points, making him an option when healthy. Enzo Le Fée has just five points against Arsenal, but he now gets a better matchup against Fulham. Casemiro deflated back to his usual non-scoring self against Spurs with a below-average week.

Week 12 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire
Week 12 suggestions (rostered 50% or less) are listed in order from most to least rostered.
Nico O’Reilly – Midfielder – Rostered 48% – Newcastle vs Manchester City
Generally, midfielders who are playing as defenders are not great for fantasy purposes, but O’Reilly has proven to be an exception. He had an assist last game in the 3-0 win over Liverpool and a goal in the game before. All three City losses came when O’Reilly didn’t start. He’s playing with confidence and getting forward. Newcastle sits in 14th, and City are scoring goals. He will be a top choice on the EPL waiver wire.
Jan-Paul van Hecke – Defender – Rostered 45% – Brighton vs Brentford
After a slow start to the EPL and fantasy season, van Hecke has come on strong over the last weeks with over double-digit points in four of the last five games. He’s led the Seagulls to back-to-back clean sheets and has scored this season too. He’s earning solid points each game on the defensive end of the field. It’s a decent match-up with Brentford just below them on the table.
Diego Gómez – Midfielder – Rostered 30% – Brighton vs Brentford
Gomez has busted into EPL Fantasy relevance over the last two games. He spent the first eight games of the season, sometimes coming off the bench, without much to show for it. But over the last two games, no other player has scored more Fantrax points. He scored a brace two games ago and added another massive point grab in week 11. He was Brighton’s top offensive player in those two games with six key passes and five shots on target. Gomez won’t be available much longer on the EPL waiver wire.
Emiliano Buendia – Midfielder – Rostered 24% – Leeds vs Aston Villa
Buendia has three goals and two assists over the last five matches, even though he only started in one of those matches. Villa is better offensively when he is playing, but it remains to be seen if he will become a consistent starter. There’s a high upside here as they travel to Leeds, who have lost two in a row and sit in 16th.
Trust the stats and your gut. Good luck. Have fun.
