The week 22 EPL waiver wire give Fantrax managers just a day before starting back up on Saturday for a full set of games.
Week 21 suggestions had two subs make an impact off the bench. Danny Ings didn’t start but did come on for an assist in a 3-2 win. Georginio Rutter came on late to score and finish off Ipswich. Mikel Merino saw limited minutes.  Harry Maguire was injured and didn’t play, though United won 3-1, but made it interesting.Â
The race at the top is still tight, as Liverpool and Nottingham Forest drew in a great game. Arsenal and Newcastle won to keep the pressure on. There are still five teams fully engaged in the relegation battle. All five bottom teams lost in week 21.
Week 22 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire
Week 22 EPL Waiver wire suggestions (under 50% rostered) are listed in order from most to least rostered.
Martin Dubravka – Goalkeeper – 49% Rostered – Newcastle vs Bournemouth
Dubravka and Newcastle are the hottest teams in the EPL. They won six straight. In that stretch, they conceded just a single goal and kept five clean sheets. The defense is playing well in front of Dubravka, but he’s making saves when he’s called upon to do so. He had seven against Wolves, giving him a massive fantasy output. He’s just under the 50% threshold, and he won’t be available much longer on the EPL waiver wire.
Matheus Nunes – Midfielder – 34% Rostered – Ipswich vs Manchester City
Nunes finally got back into the starting lineup after contributing to the disastrous late loss to Manchester United and some injury issues. Nunes took a turn playing on the right side of the field in more of a defensive role. He made the most of it, with a solid double-digit Fantrax fantasy output. Managers know that Pep often rotates, so there’s no guarantee that he will start, but with this matchup especially, he’s worth a pick on the EPL waiver wire.
Lucas Bergvall – Midfielder – 12% Rostered – Tottenham vs Everton
Bergvall has started only three games, but both of the last two. Despite the final results, those two were solid points games against two solid teams (Arsenal and Newcastle). Spurs travel to Everton, then host Leicester. They need results from both of those games. There’s no promise to start here, but there is an upside to him.
Konstantinos Tsimikas – Defender – 9% Rostered – Brentford vs Liverpool
Tsimikas is a fantastic option, if and when he plays. Andrew Robertson is the first choice back, but with a cluster of games there’s a chance that Tsimikas gets a chance. Liverpool have drawn two straight, and they’ll be looking to get back to winning ways to keep some space between them and their challengers. There’s a risk with this pick on the EPL waiver wire, so follow team news and be ready with other options.
Expect rotation this weekend with the quick turnaround. Be ready to adjust.
Have fun. Good luck!
