Week 31 Draft EPL Waiver Wire

Fantrax managers will have to adjust quickly on the EPL waiver wire for week 31. Midweek games ended Thursday, and games start up again on Saturday.

In week 30, Kieran Trippier was back to the players that Fantrax EPL managers loved having in their squad. Ilkay Gundogan was solid,, but not great in the Manchester City 2-0 win. Abdukodir Khusanov was rested in that win,  and Chris Richards picked up a injury,, missing out.

It may be worth looking ahead to week 32, as Crystal Palace and Newcastle play twice that game week.

Week 31 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire

Week 31 suggestions (rostered 50% or less) are listed in order from most to least rostered.

Valentino Livramento – Defender – 50% Rostered – Leicester vs Newcastle

Livramento was mentioned in last week’s article, but the focus there was Trippier. The left back is still available in most leagues, and with Leicester this weekend and a double week the following, it’s the time to get him if you can. Leicester was held scoreless for the 7th straight game. He’s been a steady player, but the matchup and double make him a prime target on the EPL waiver wire.

Rodrigo Bentancur – Midfielder – 22% Rostered – Spurs vs Southampton

The Spurs midfielder gets most of his points on the defensive end. So even though Spurs have been shut out in three of the last four, Bentancur still is picking up points. Fortunately Spurs host Southampton, who remain bottom of the table with the fewest goals scored and most goals conceded. There are other options here for Spurs, and after another subpar game, rotation should be expected.

Toti – Defender – 19% Rostered – Ipswich vs Wolves

Wolves have won two in a row, which moves them nine points out of relegation, just above Ipswich. This is a big game, and Ipswich needs to win this. Any points here from Wolves and they will be happy. Toti helped secure a clean sheet last game, but even without a shutout point, Toti is scoring for Fantrax managers. Ipswich have scored only 30 goals this season.

Nico O’Reilly – Midfielder – 15% Rostered – Manchester United vs Manchester City

Nico got his first EPL start last game in a 2-0 win for City. He also came on at half time in the FA Cup last weekend, providing two key assists for them in a comeback win. He’s playing left back, though listed as a midfielder. There’s no guarantee that he starts or that he keeps playing so well. But while there’s no guarantee, there is a chance. At this point in the season, it’s worth taking some chances on the EPL waiver wire.

Watch for rotation after the mid-week games. Go with the matchups.  Good luck. Have fun.
