The Week 5 EPL Waiver Wire sees lineups settling in for many teams, while other teams near the bottom of the table are looking for answers.
Tosin Adarabioyo and Chelsea conceded in extra time for 2-2 draw, and not many points for the defender. Douglas Luiz didn’t see time, but with back-to-back 3-0 losses, it may be time for some changes, including him. Brajan Gruda again was a sub in the Seagulls loss. Callum Wilson came on in the second half, when the Hammers were down three goals and to 10 men.
Week 5 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire
Week 5 suggestions (rostered 50% or less) are listed in order from most to least rostered.
Kevin – Forward – Rostered 37% – Fulham vs Brentford
The new transfer came on late and made an immediate difference. In his 13 minutes, he scored 6.5 fantasypoints, including a shot on target and a pair of crosses. It was Fulham’s first win. They have just three goals on the season, including an own goal, and haven’t scored more than one in a game. They could use the offensive spark that Kevin may bring. He’s a high upside player who could become a consistent starter, making him a good choice on the EPL waiver wire.
Robin Roefs – Goalie – Rostered 31% –Â Sunderland vs Aston Villa
The Sunderland keeper is the second-highest-scoring keeper in Fantrax scoring. He has three points over 15games. His 13 saves are tied for second amongst keepers. He’s conceded three goals on the season, and Sunderland has two shutouts. His next four games are against teams at the bottom half of the table.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin – Forward – Rostered 14% – Wolves vs Leeds
DCL moved got his first start for Leeds in the 1-0 loss to Fulham. This is really a matchup pick, as Leeds travel to Wolves, who have conceded nine goals and have yet to win. He was able to earn solid phantom points in his start. He is a capable player who is hoping to reset his career. He’s worth considering this week with a favorable opponent, and with outside hopes of finding her previous form
Lucas Bergvall – Midfielder – Rostered 10% – Brighton vs Spurs
Bergvall started his second game of the season, and he was arguably the best player on the field in their 3-0 win at West Ham. He scored and had an assist. He played with confidence and energy. In both of his starts, Spurs won 3-0. Spurs are deep, so there could be rotation, as managers have seen. Bergvall should be an option on the EPL waiver wire.
Follow the matchups. Go with your gut. Have fun. Good luck.
