Two-Start Pitchers for Fantasy Baseball: Week 13 (6/27-7/3)

Here are the two-start pitchers for Week 13 (6/27-7/3) in fantasy baseball. As always, make sure to double-check the probable starting pitchers grid here at Fangraphs before you set your lineup. Pitching rotations are constantly changing. Let’s take a look at the two-start pitchers for Week 13!

Must-Start: These pitchers should be started regardless of match-up. They are a must-start in all leagues until further notice.

Should-Start: These pitchers should start in most leagues. However, these pitchers are not elite and are more subject to variance in performance.

Questionable: Only start these pitchers if you are in a very deep roto league, deep points leagues, desperate for counting stats, or feeling lucky.

Sit: Do not start these pitchers.

Pablo Lopez2.61@ STL@ WAS
Robbie Ray4.07BALOAK

Martin Perez continues to defy all expectations this year. The 31-year-old lefty is 5-2 with a 1.96 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP over 87.1 innings. He has done a great job limiting hard contact and he refuses to walk batters. Next week he takes on the struggling Kansas City Royals (99 wRC+ vs lefties) and the New York Mets (106 wRC+). I’m not sure how long this will last but he’s been great for months so he has to be a must-start pitcher.

Should Start

Luis Garcia3.68@ NYMLAA
Sonny Gray2.53@ CLEBAL
Zac Gallen2.92SD@ COL

Charlie Morton has posted two quality starts in a row after a brutal start to the season. Over his last 14 innings, Morton has given up only two runs while racking up 20 strikeouts. His stuff continues to look great and his 26.7K% ranks in the 76h percentile league-wide. Next week he hits the road for both starts as he takes on the Philadelphia Phillies (97 wRC+ vs righties) and the Cincinnati Reds (86 wRC+).

Questionable

Michael Wacha2.34@ TOR@ CHC

Shane Baz4.15MIL@ TOR
Tarik Skubal3.63@ SFKC
Tyler Wells3.34@ SEA@ MIN

Since Lucas Giolitto came down with COVID-19, he has struggled mightily. Over his last six starts, Giolito has a 9.47 ERA with a 1.99 WHIP. Batters are crushing the ball off him as his hard-hit percentage is in the 7th percentile and he is walking more batters than he did last year. The White Sox are traveling out west and Giolito will go against the Los Angeles Angels (106 wRC+ vs righties) and the San Francisco Giants (108 wRC+). Unless you’re in a deep league, 15-team or more, I suggest letting Giolito figure it out before running him out there.

After a great start to the season, Paul Blackburn is no longer startable. Over his last six starts, Blackburn has a 5.14 ERA with a 1.46 WHIP. Next week he takes on the New York Yankees (121 wRC+ vs righties, ranked 1st) and the Seattle Mariners (111 wRC+, ranked 7th). Both teams are on a roll so it’s best if he rides the pine next week.
