The 2025 fantasy baseball season is underway, and many of Major League Baseball’s top prospects have won roster spots for their respective teams. Top prospects like Kristian Campbell, Jackson Jobe, Matt Shaw, and Jasson Dominguez now have full-time roles with their teams, and many will graduate from prospect status by the summer. However, there are still a plethora of big names that were sent back to the minor leagues to get more seasoning before making their MLB debuts.
This weekly piece will look at some of the best prospects from a fantasy perspective and track their production. Below is a report of the top 25 Major League Baseball prospects who have yet to make it to the Major Leagues. As players on this list graduate to the big leagues, more names will fill in as we track the top prospects for dynasty and keeper fantasy baseball leagues.
Fantasy Baseball Prospect Report
Roman Anthony, BOS, RF
- Baseball’s top hitting prospect crushed two home runs with four RBI in his first two games in AAA this weekend. He is one Red Sox injury away from being called up to the big leagues.

Sebastian Walcott, TEX, SS
- Sebastian Walcott and the Frisco Roughriders will play their first game on Friday, April 4th.
Samuel Basallo, BAL, C
- Through three games, one of baseball’s top catching prospects has hit one home run, but is slashing .125/.222/.500. Adley Rutschman’s presence obviously complicates things here.
Dalton Rushing, LAD, C
- In his first 14 plate appearances of 2025, Rushing is hitting .273/.357/.545. After a similar stat line in AAA last season, it’s a matter of “when” and not “if” for Rushing.
Carson Williams, TBR, SS
- One of the top on-base prospects in baseball started out with a .364/.500/.364 in his first three games this season, including a steal and a 21% walk rate.
Aidan Miller, PHI, SS
- Aidan Miller and the Reading Fighting Phils will play their first game on Friday, April 4th.
Jordan Lawlar, ARI, SS
- It’s been a slow start at the plate for Lawlar, as he is hitting .100/.308/.100 in 14 plate appearances, although he does have two steals.

Emmanuel Rodriguez, MIN, CF
- Emmanuel Rodriguez has started the year on fire with three hits and a walk in his first five plate appearances, including a home run and two RBI.
Ethan Salas, SDP, C
- Ethan Salas and the San Antonio Missions will play their first game on Friday, April 4th.
Nick Kurtz, ATH, 1B
- Is .455/.538/.909 good? That’s how Kurtz has started his 2025 in his first 14 plate appearances. He already has four runs and three RBI.
Bryce Eldridge, SFG, 1B
- Bryce Eldridge and the Sacramento River Cats will play their first game on Tuesday, April 1st.
Alfredo Duno, CIN, C
- Alfredo Duno and the Daytona Tortugas will play their first game on Friday, April 4th.
Marcelo Mayer, BOS, SS
- A tough start to the year for Marcelo Mayer (.222/.222/.222) shouldn’t distract from how strong a prospect he is. His biggest issue right now is that the 22-year-old is blocked at several positions in his path to MLB.

Leo De Vries, SDP, SS
- Leo De Vries and the Fort Wayne Tincaps will play their first game on Friday, April 4th.

Adrian Del Castillo, ARI, C
- Adrian Del Castillo and the Reno Aces will play their first game on Tuesday, April 1st.
Agustin Ramírez, MIA, C
- Although he doesn’t have a home run yet, Agustin Ramirez got off to a good start in AAA, hitting .250/.357/.417, including a 14.3% walk rate. At 23 years old, he might be catching for the Marlins by the end of the 2025 season.

Thayron Liranzo, DET, C
- Another member of the West Michigan Whitecaps, Thayron Liranzo, will start his season on Friday, April 4th. He also has the potential to make the big club in 2025.
Kevin Alcántara, CHC, CF
- After getting 10 plate appearances with the Cubs in 2024, Alcantara was hoping for a fast start to the 2025 season. That hasn’t happened, and he is hitting .222/.222/.222 through his first two games. He will need stronger production and several injuries before he gets his chance again on the Chicago Cubs.
