Top Picks for the 2025 Wyndham Championship

The Wyndham Championship is the seventh-oldest tournament on the PGA Tour and is the destination this week for what is the last regular tournament in the FedEx Cup.

Sedgefield Country Club will host, having returned to this venue in 2008. Previously held for over 31 years at Forest Oaks, the tournament will be the 86th edition of the oldest golf event in North Carolina.

As the last regular tournament on the schedule, the Wyndham Championship will determine the top 70 players who will compete in the FedEx Cup playoffs, as well as the $40 million Comcast business top ten.

Current USA Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley will be teeing up this week and is the highest-ranked player in the official world golf rankings. Although not the favourite, as that goes to Matt Fitzpatrick. The Englishman has finished in the top ten in his last three tournaments, which included a tied fourth place at the Open Championship in Northern Ireland.

A Donald Ross-designed course with par at 70 and 7131 yards long, this week will be an important one for the players striving to get into the FedEx Playoffs.

Quick Stat

The last eight of the twelve winners of the Wyndham Championship have all been under the age of 37. Over to you, Keegan Bradley?

Top Three Picks To Win The Wyndham Championship

Robert MacIntyre (+2800)

The Leftie from Scotland was runner-up at this year’s US Open and continued his fine form at the Open Championship with a tied seventh. Having had a week’s rest, he will be desperate to add to his two PGA tour wins this week

Akshay Bhatia (+3000)

Despite a poor final round last week at the 3M Open, Akshay has been playing steadily in his last few tournaments. Coming into the Wyndham Championship, he has three top tens and seven top 25s. His last win came in 2024 in the Texas Valero Open, and he has continued to play some consistent golf in recent weeks.

Jake Knapp (+3500)

The 31-year-old from Costa Mesa, California, has two top-five finishes in his last four starts. At last week’s 3M Open, he finished tied third and three shots off first-place winner Kurt Kitayama. Jake sits third in average birdies per round, with 4.45 birdies. He is also good at avoiding bogeys, making a bogey or worse only 13.38% of the time.

Hot Pick

Jordan Spieth (+3000)

Always worth a bet, and currently 50th in the FedEx Cup rankings, Jordan will be aiming to gather points to secure his spot in the playoffs. Along with Robert MacIntyre, I believe the rest will assist, and his recent form shows signs of improvement. Only missing two cuts all year and four top tens.
