Week 1 Flex Rankings

We made it! Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season is finally upon us. More importantly, the 2025 fantasy football season is here! Now the real work begins. As enjoyable as draft season can be, the real fun in Redraft leagues begins now. The road to a fantasy football championship starts with setting Week 1 lineups. Our players should be relatively healthy heading into the week, and we do not have to worry about bye weeks. Because of that, there are plenty of options at each position on your roster. We are not going to get every decision correct. But we can put ourselves in the best position to win each week. Knowing which players to start can get your season off to a strong start. That is where my Week 1 Flex rankings come into play.

It is always interesting to see how Week 1 Flex rankings compare to draft position. For example, I participated in six drafts over the weekend. Jerome Ford was only drafted inside the top 120 players in one of them. However, Ford looks like a decent Flex play this week, depending on your other options. It does not look like rookie Quinshon Judkins will play yet, meaning Ford and Dylan Sampson should get plenty of run. They have an enticing Week 1 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, whose defense is subpar. I think both Browns running backs could be viable, though I give the slight edge to Ford. There are plenty of scenarios like this every week in the NFL. Do not worry about where you drafted a player when it comes to setting your weekly lineups in fantasy football. Circumstances can change in a heartbeat.

While some of the names will most certainly change throughout the year, there are a few staples that will remain consistent. My weekly Flex rankings are based on Half-PPR scoring. You will need to adjust accordingly if your league uses an alternative scoring system. I have ranked over 250 players based on how I project them to perform this week. That number may vary in certain weeks due to byes and injuries. However, even on those occasions, I will rank more than enough to assist with whatever start/sit decisions you have. With all due respect to Devin Singletary and his family, most fantasy managers out there are not considering starting him this week. And there are over 50 players I ranked beneath Singletary.
