NFL Usage Trends from Week 11: Fantasy Football Notes for All 32 Teams

It seems like every year in fantasy football, we get a week like we had in Week 11. The injuries started early and just kept coming one right after another. Many fantasy football stars were ruled out of games at various points. Others sat out, returned, and then were ruled out again. Still others missed large portions of their games while they nursed injuries. This led to some interesting usage patterns in Week 11.

This weekly piece will look at those trends and make recommendations for players who might be worth rostering or starting in our fantasy lineups. We will look primarily at how roles changed over the first 11 weeks of the season for a player on each team, and if that is signal or noise for the season.

If you have interesting usage notes, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter/X (@CableBoxScore) and let me know. Let’s dive into the NFL Week 11 usage!

NFL Week 11 Usage Trends

ARIZONA CARDINALS

Michael Wilson Next Man Up

Michael Wilson set a new bar for wide receivers this season with 185 receiving yards for the Arizona Cardinals. With no Marvin Harrison Jr., Jacoby Brissett (who set an NFL record with 47 completed passes) targeted Wilson 18 times, completing 15 of them. Wilson didn’t find the end zone but still racked up 33.5 fantasy points in PPR formats.

ATLANTA FALCONS

Bijan Back in the End Zone

Bijan Robinson was given the opportunity to rush for two touchdowns against the Panthers after hearing how successful Tyler Allgeier has been in that area over the last two weeks. Making sure their superstar stays happy, Atlanta gave Robinson 27 touches, including multiple goal-line opportunities that led to touchdowns.

BALTIMORE RAVENS

Lamar Jackson Busts

Lamar Jackson was really, really bad on Sunday. How bad was he? Sam Darnold threw four interceptions and scored more fantasy points than Lamar Jackson in Week 11. Against Cleveland, he didn’t even reach 200 passing yards. He rushed for just 10 yards and threw two interceptions.

BUFFALO BILLS

Josh Allen Legacy Game

Josh Allen was a one-man wrecking crew against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He rushed for three touchdowns and threw for three more, while adding 317 passing yards. His 44.7 fantasy points were 13 more than the next quarterback on the weekly scoring. Allen scored this massive number despite also throwing two interceptions.

CAROLINA PANTHERS

Bryce Young Career Day

Bryce Young set a franchise record with 448 passing yards and also threw three touchdowns and a two-point conversion against the Atlanta Falcons in an overtime win. Young’s 31.8 fantasy points were just slightly less than the total of his last four games combined.

CHICAGO BEARS

D.J. Moore Disappearing Act

D.J. Moore may have gotten a huge contract last season, but he is nowhere near that kind of player this year. Moore finished fifth on his own team in targets on Sunday and finished with one catch for 18 yards. The Bears keep trying (and failing) to get him involved in the running game, but it’s clear Moore will be on the way out, and he can certainly do the same with our rosters.

CINCINNATI BENGALS

Chase Brown Back to a Workhorse

Chase Brown had at least 20 touches for the first time since Week 1 in his game against the Steelers. Although he didn’t find the end zone, he amassed 127 total yards on 24 touches.

CLEVELAND BROWNS

David Njoku Not Part of the Plans

David Njoku caught one pass for seven yards from the combination of Dillon Gabriel and Shedur Sanders on Sunday. It’s clear his role as a consistent producer in the Cleveland offense is long gone, and now he is just riding out the season until he can leave as a free agent. He is also droppable in fantasy leagues.

DALLAS COWBOYS

George Pickens Outproduces CeeDee Lamb Again

Is there a changing of the guard happening in Dallas?

DENVER BRONCOS

RJ Harvey Time

With no J.K. Dobbins, RJ Harvey got 61% of the snaps against Kansas City, by far the highest total of the season. Perhaps the best news for him, however, is that no other running back saw more than 31% of snaps nor had more than seven touches.

DETROIT LIONS

Amon-Ra St. Brown Game to Forget

This horrible game should go in the outlier pile for Amon-Ra St. Brown.

GREEN BAY PACKERS

Tucker Kraft Fallout

Luke Musgrave finished with fewer points than the other tight ends in this game, named Theo Johnson, Josh Whyle, and John FitzPatrick. Any thought that Luke Musgrave would take over the complete Tucker Kraft role was silly, as Musgrave just is not prepared for that kind of workload. He had just one catch for negative one yard against the Giants.

HOUSTON TEXANS

Nico Collins Thriving with Davis Mills

Nico Collins was the key offensive cog in the Texans’ win against the Titans, hauling in nine receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown. Davis Mills, starting for the injured C.J. Stroud again, relied heavily on Collins and gave him a third big game in a row.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

The Indianapolis Colts Were on Bye For Week 11

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

Parker Washington Takes a Back Seat

Parker Washington has seen 26 targets in the last three games. With Brian Thomas Jr. out again on Sunday, Washington certainly had the opportunity to be utilized heavily again, but it did not happen. He caught only two passes for 20 yards – and those were his only two targets.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Kareem Hunt Gets the Work

Without Isiah Pacheco for the second straight game, Kareem Hunt got all the work. Hunt touched the ball 14 times for 63 yards and a touchdown. All other running backs for the Chiefs touched the ball a combined two times. Patrick Mahomes only ran once the whole game as well.

LAS VEGAS RAIDERS

Ashton Jeanty Not Paying Off

After the end of Week 11, there are 17 running backs with at least 140 rush attempts this season. Only one – Ashton Jeanty – has fewer than 600 rushing yards. Jeanty’s 547 yards are 73 fewer than anyone else in that group.

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

Kimani Vidal Et al. are Awful

Kimani Vidal got caught up in the general malaise of the entire Los Angeles Chargers offense against Jacksonville on Sunday. Vidal rushed five times for 13 yards and caught two passes for negative receiving yards. Vidal takes the place here for Justin Herbert, Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, and a whole host of other Chargers.

LOS ANGELES RAMS

Kyren Williams Keeps Getting it Done

Kyren Williams’ touches went down for a third straight week, but he still managed to put up 91 yards and a touchdown. Blake Corum could only muster 10 yards on eight carries. Williams’ role in this offense is safe down the stretch.

MIAMI DOLPHINS

De’Von Achane’s Keeps Going

Running back De’Von Achane had amazing usage again, amassing over 160 scrimmage yards against the Washington Commanders on 26 touches. Achane was particularly effective on outside runs, gaining 109 yards on 17 carries outside the tackles.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Drop J.J. McCarthy

J.J. McCarthy just doesn’t have it yet this season. Whether that’s due to a lingering injury or just being an inexperienced rookie, there could be many reasons why McCarthy isn’t clicking. But he looks awful a lot of the time, including on Sunday against the Bears. McCarthy threw for 150 yards, one score, and two interceptions. He was sailing balls over receivers’ heads, missing easy ones, and looking like he needs a lot more polish before he can be counted on.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

TreVeyon Takes Over Part 2

Rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson saw his usage continue to increase, playing a career-high 59 snaps in the win over the Jets. With the increased workload, Henderson posted a huge fantasy day with three total touchdowns, including two on the ground and one in the air.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

The New Orleans Saints Were on Bye For Week 11

NEW YORK GIANTS

Isaish Hodgins Someone to Watch

In his first game of the season, Isaiah Hodgins led the New York Giants with five receptions and 57 yards. Darius Slayton was out of this game, but Jameis Winston and Jaxson Dart might have a new weapon to throw to for the rest of the season.

NEW YORK JETS

Taking the Ball Out of Justin Fields’ Hand

Justin Fields was adequate on Thursday, completing 15 of 26 passes for 116 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. But he did much of his damage on the ground with 11 carries for 67 yards and another TD. It wasn’t enough to save his job, as the Jets will go with Tyrod Taylor in their next game. Fields has crossed 116 passing yards once in his last five games.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

Time for the A.J. Brown Squeaky Wheel

A.J. Brown saw a season-high target share, commanding over 40% of the team’s total targets. That only resulted in seven catches for 49 yards, but I guess we have to start somewhere if his season is going to turn around at any point.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Kenneth Gainwell Steals the Show

Kenneth Gainwell took a lot of the shine from popular sleeper play Jaylen Warren this week. Against the lowly Bengals, Gainwell rushed for 24 yards but also caught seven of eight passes for 81 yards and two receiving touchdowns. Warren finished with 6.2 yards per rush, so it wasn’t as if he was bad, but Gainwell was just what the Steelers needed in the passing game.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

George Kittle + Brock Purdy = BFF

George Kittle was certainly glad to see Brock Purdy back under center. Even with Ricky Pearsall back and Christian McCaffrey getting 18 touches, Purdy still found Kittle twice in the end zone for touchdowns. He caught all six of his passes for 67 yards and those two scores.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Kenneth’s a Runner, Not a Walker

Even though he only played 51% of snaps against the Los Angeles Rams, Kenneth Walker III got 19 touches for 111 yards and a touchdown, far outpacing teammate Zach Charbonnet. This is a messy timeshare the rest of the year, considering how Charbonnet dominated in Week 10.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Sean Tucker Week Version 2025

Sean Tucker is apparently going to have one of these explosion games every season. With Bucky Irving still out for the Buccaneers, Tucker was given 21 touches, which resulted in 140 total yards and three touchdowns. He is so much more explosive than Rachaad White, and Tampa Bay simply must give him a substantial role even when Irving comes back.

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS

Chris Rodriguez Rises to RB1

Chris Rodriguez saw 16 touches against Miami in the game in Madrid. All other running backs on the Washington roster combined for 17 touches. Rodriguez is the clear number one option moving forward for the Commanders.
