This weekly piece will look at those trends and make recommendations for players who might be worth rostering or starting in our fantasy lineups. We will look primarily at how roles changed over the first 14 weeks of the season for a player on each team, and if that is signal or noise for the season.

NFL Week 14 Usage Trends
ARIZONA CARDINALS
Michael Wilson Dominates Again
Michael Wilson was the beneficiary of Marvin Harrison Jr. being out again, and he certainly continued to capitalize. Wilson finished the game against the Rams with 16 targets, 11 receptions, 142 yards, and two touchdowns. In the three games Harrison has not played, Wilson has 49 targets and 36 receptions.
ATLANTA FALCONS
Darnell Mooney Rug Pull
Darnell Mooney was not given more work as Kirk Cousins and Raheem Morris said he would when Drake London got injured. Mooney had one catch for six yards in the Atlanta Falcons’ pitiful showing against Seattle. Mooney now has just 12 receptions in his last seven games.
BALTIMORE RAVENS
Where Was Mark Andrews?
Mark Andrews just signed a new three-year contract extension, so I would have expected more than just one catch for nine yards in a game the Baltimore Ravens absolutely had to win. He did see five targets, but also now has two games in three weeks with fewer than two fantasy points.
BUFFALO BILLS
Josh Allen Back on Top
Josh Allen put up over 325 combined passing and rushing yards, plus four total touchdowns and a two-point conversion in the wild come-from-behind win against Cincinnati in snowy Buffalo. Allen now overtakes Patrick Mahomes as the top overall quarterback in fantasy football after this masterful performance in Week 14.

CHICAGO BEARS
Running Back Still Split
One week after both D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai ran for over 120 yards each against the Eagles, they both had a big workload again. Swift played 57% of snaps while Monangai played on 41%. Both had at least 15 touches, and both had at least 55 yards.
CINCINNATI BENGALS
Burrow’s Favorite Target was Mike Gisecki?
Mike Gesicki’s 17.6 half-PPR fantasy points on Sunday were about the same amount as his last six games combined. I wouldn’t necessarily trust this outcome, but Gesicki stepped up in a major way for Cincinnati when Tee Higgins was in and out of the lineup for a possible concussion. Gesicki tied Higgins for the most receptions on the team in that game.
CLEVELAND BROWNS
Shedeur Sanders Show
Shedeur Sanders looked, at least for one day, like he belonged as a starting QB in the NFL. Now, it was against the Tennessee Titans, but Sanders produced 364 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, 29 rushing yards, and another rushing touchdown. Only an interception kept him from producing almost an identical score to Josh Allen. Sanders might be a name to stash away, as he has decent games against the Bears, Steelers, and Bengals still on the schedule.
DALLAS COWBOYS
Potential CeeDee Lamb Replacement
CeeDee Lamb’s concussion on Thursday night did not look good. His “posturing” after the injury was a sure sign that he would be in protocol and would need to work his way back over time. He might miss Week 15, and if he does, that means it is Ryan Flournoy time. Flournoy played on 65% of snaps and finished the game with nine catches for 115 yards and a touchdown.
DENVER BRONCOS
Evan Engram Back to Not Producing
Evan Engram had an outlier game last week against the depleted Washington Commanders’ defense. In that game, Engram had six receptions for 79 yards. But on Sunday, Engram reversed and had just two catches for eight yards. This was the seventh game in his last eight with under 10 fantasy points.
DETROIT LIONS
Sun God Plays, But so Does TeSlaa
Even though Amon-Ra St. Brown played on Thursday, Issac TeSlaa saw his second-highest snap rate of the season (77%). The Lions deployed a number of three wide receiver sets, and TeSlaa did what he does best – catch a touchdown.
GREEN BAY PACKERS
Josh Jacobs Back to Normal
After missing a week due to injury and then playing just 54% of snaps in his first game back, Josh Jacobs was fully utilized on Sunday. He played on 72% of snaps and saw 22 total touches against the Bears.
HOUSTON TEXANS
Woody Marks Gets 28
Woody Marks blew past his previous high for a snap percentage and touch count in a game. He played on 87% of snaps and touched the ball 28 times against the Chiefs. Unfortunately, he had to miss a play due to a concussion check, and that was when Dare Ogunbawale rushed in for a touchdown. Fortunately, Marks still ended up with a receiving touchdown.
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
Offense Dealt a Huge Blow
Daniel Jones is feared to have a torn Achilles tendon, which he suffered in a non-contact injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was always a risk to have him out there playing on a broken leg, and now his recovery will be much, much longer as he has surgery to repair it and then faces a long rehab. In his absence, Michael Pittman (12 targets) and Alec Pierce (eight targets) led the team, so Riley Leonard didn’t change much.
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
Travis Etienne Dominates Touches
While many predicted Travis Etienne’s role would diminish over the course of the season, the opposite has been true. Etienne played 72% of snaps against Indianapolis on Sunday, a season-high. He also had 21 touches for 82 yards and two touchdowns.
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Travis Kelce Last Gasp
Travis Kelce had his worst game of the 2025 season with one catch for eight yards on five targets. Like many of the Chiefs on Sunday night, Kelce suffered from a couple of bone-headed drops, but his struggles against Houston were emblematic of the entire team this season.
LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
Brock Bowers Is the Offense
Brock Bowers continues to put up big fantasy football days even when the rest of the offense around him is the football version of a moldy sock. Bowers scored another touchdown and now has three in his last two games. Bowers has either a touchdown or 55 yards in every game for the last month.
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
New Split Backfield
In the first game back from injury for Omarion Hampton, he and Kimani Vidal split the work almost equally. Hampton had 13 carries for 56 yards and two receptions. Vidal rushed 14 times for 44 yards and caught one long 60-yard pass. This might be a two-headed monster for the rest of the fantasy football season.
LOS ANGELES RAMS
Blake Corum Explosion
Blake Corum got some work early and then a lot of work in garbage time, so he was able to produce a huge fantasy score for the Los Angeles Rams. He rushed 12 times for 128 yards and two scores, including a beautiful 43-yard scamper at the end of the game.
MIAMI DOLPHINS
Tua Tagovailoa Phased Out
Tua Tagovailoa plays on a team that just scored 34 points against the New York Jets, and yet Tagovailoa could only manage nine fantasy points. That’s now fewer than 12 fantasy points in four of the last five games, and he has one passing touchdown in his last three contests. How the Dolphins have six wins at this point in the season, I will never understand.
MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Justin Jefferson Breaking Point
Justin Jefferson now needs to be benched until the Minnesota Vikings can show that they are actively trying to get Jefferson the ball in games. He finished Sunday with just two catches for 11 yards. That’s now five straight games under 10 fantasy points, and he has bottomed out the last two weeks, combining for four receptions for 15 yards.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
Devin Neal Becoming a Bellcow
Devin Neal has seen his touches increase in seven straight weeks, culminating in 71% of snaps and 20 touches for 84 yards and a touchdown against Tampa Bay. Neal was not a highly-touted prospect out of the draft, but he is proving his worth on a miserable offense when given his shot.
NEW YORK GIANTS

NEW YORK JETS
Pick up Mason Taylor
One sneaky thing about the miserable New York Jets game on Sunday is what we saw from Brady Cook’s tendencies after Tyrod Taylor left the game. He heavily targeted tight end Mason Taylor as his security blanket. Taylor had eight targets for five receptions and 51 yards in the game.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
Dallas Goedert Bounces Back
After six weeks of no more than 43 yards receiving, Dallas Goedert bounced back in Week 14. He caught eight of 10 targets for 78 yards. He didn’t catch a touchdown because Jalen Hurts fell flat on his face in this game, but it was a great sign to see Goedert part of the game plan as the fantasy playoffs begin.
PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Who Steps in if Darnell Washington Misses Time?
Darnell Washington’s head hit the ground at the end of a catch in the first quarter against Baltimore. He was helped to the locker room, where he was evaluated for a concussion and quickly ruled out. Jonnu Smith and Pat Freiermuth will likely see more snaps and pass routes with Washington sidelined if it extends into Week 15.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
Kenneth Walker Can’t Produce
Kenneth Walker III finished with 3.3 fantasy points in a day where the Seahawks scored 27 points. The defense and Sam Darnold won the game on Sunday, so Walker was left to rush for just 29 yards on 10 carries, plus catch one pass for minus one yard.
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
Baker Mayfield Crumbling
Baker Mayfield was supposed to lead a powerful offensive attack against the lowly Saints at home on Sunday. Instead, he completed less than half of his passes while throwing for 122 yards and a score, plus an interception. Reinforcements are on the way as Mike Evans might come back this week.
Tennessee Titans
Tony Pollard Out of Nowhere
Tony Pollard came out of absolutely nowhere on the other side of the Sanders’ game to rush for 161 yards on 25 carries, and he added two rushing touchdowns. His 25 rush attempts were his most of the season, and his 161 yards are more than any TWO of his games from 2025 combined. This was an amazing game, but it probably came long after managers had benched him.
WASHINGTON COMMANDERS
Bill’s Bottom
Jacory Croskey-Merritt is bottoming out now and finished Sunday with just seven carries for 32 empty rushing yards. JCM was the third-highest-scoring running back in that game and was almost passed by Zavier Scott. We will always have the summer of Bill, but for now, Croskey-Merritt needs to fall off your rosters.
