Welp… It has been a while since you have seen a pitching streamers article from me. Funny story about that… I went to a Nationals game in June, and after 38 years of going to baseball games, I had my first-ever experience with a foul ball. And I broke my finger trying to catch it. No, I did not get the ball, but the Nationals customer service was excellent, as was the first aid staff. They brought me a signed ball and invited me back to a game in September. All in all, I would say that is pretty cool. Anyway, here we are now, just in time to give you some of my favorite pitching streamers for the fantasy baseball playoffs.

Below are some of my favorite pitching streamers for the upcoming week, minus Monday and Thursday. Those are two days with the most teams not playing, and the ones that play on those days do not have great streaming options.
Pitching Streamers for Shallow Leagues (Over 20% Rostered)
Kade Anderson (SP – SEA)
Next Start: Saturday, 8/29 at TOR
Your chance to acquire Kade Anderson in your fantasy baseball league may have already passed. He is one of the most highly touted pitching prospects in the league, and his arrival to the majors has been expected for some time. In 93.1 innings in the minors this year, Anderson owns a 1.06 ERA and a 40% strikeout rate, compared to a 3% walk rate. If he is on the waiver wire in your league, he should be an immediate add.
Anderson’s first start will come against the Cubs (which has not happened as of writing this), which could be a tough matchup. His start against Toronto should prove a little easier. The Jays have the third fewest runs scored this season. A major reason why they have scored so few runs is their lack of home runs. They have hit the third-fewest in baseball. Also related is their groundball rate, which is the ninth-worst in the league.
Anderson has been exceptional in the minors at limiting runs, and especially great at limiting homers. He has allowed fewer than a half a home run per nine innings. The young starter also boasts a 45% groundball rate. He features an elite fastball, as well as a slider, curveball, and changeup. His ability to command his pitches should prove to make him successful. Take a look at some nasty stuff he flashed a few weeks ago:

If Anderson is available, he is a must-add. He is one of the top pitching streamers in shallow leagues. Most likely, he will be an add for the rest of the year.
Pitching Streamers for Deep Leagues (0%-19% Rostered)
Anthony Kay (SP – CWS)
Next Start: Tuesday, 8/25, vs TEX
Anthony Kay has flown under the radar a bit thanks to some rocky starts here and there. A 4.03 ERA is not anything to write home about. Still, he has three quality starts in his last four games and has not allowed more than three earned runs in a game since late June. Plus, Kay picked up three wins in his last six starts. His next turn comes against Texas.
The Rangers should be a favorable matchup for Kay. Texas has scored the fifth fewest runs in the league this season. They also have the 10th most strikeouts and the eighth-highest K%. Kay has been better than league average at limiting homers and has stranded runners at an above-average 77% clip. In his last five starts, he has allowed just one walk in each, limiting base runners. In that same span, he has also struck out at least four batters in all but one of those games. Kay does not possess elite strikeout numbers, but he has a high enough baseline to be relevant in that category. And the Rangers’ propensity to whiff should add a few more strikeouts than normal to Kay’s tally.
Kay’s bread and butter this season has been his sweeper. It features a devastating 36% whiff rate. His slider has been his best strikeout pitch, with a 36% K rate and a nearly 20% putaway rate. That slider has been especially effective at getting righty hitters out, while he has relied more on his sinker against lefties. However, he will throw these pitches against batters of either handedness, and they work. Check it out:

Kay is widely available and has a sneaky good matchup, making him one of the top pitching streamers for the coming week.
Randy Dobnak (SP – KC)
Next Start: Wednesday, 8/26, at TOR
Randy Dobnak has been excellent for the Royals since they acquired him from Seattle in the summer. In nine appearances (seven starts), he has gone at least four innings in each. Dobnak allowed more than two earned runs in a game just once during that span. He has just one quality start to his name this season, so fantasy managers in QS leagues should ignore this recommendation. But anyone in leagues that reward wins should add him, considering he faces the Blue Jays in his next start.
The Jays have been one of the league’s worst offenses this season. They have had difficulty scoring runs, hitting homers, and keeping the ball off the ground. What has made Dobnak successful this season has been his ability to limit runs (1.58 ERA) and home runs (.39 HR/9), while also inducing a high groundball rate (54%). This game lines up perfectly for him.
Dobnak’s GB% has been bolstered by his sinker’s 67% GB rate, while his slider and changeup boast 55% GB rates. His best pitch, though, is his sweeper, which features a .194 BAA and a 33% whiff rate. Take a look at this thing:

Dobnak may not be the sexiest add you make all year, but he could pay off as one of the best pitching streamers for the week ahead.
Andre Pallante (SP – STL)
Next Start: Friday, 8/28, vs PIT
Andre Pallante has certainly made a name for himself as a starter this season, turning in a 3.57 ERA so far. He has earned three quality starts in his last five games while also going 2-0 during that span. He could be in line for another quality start and win in his next outing against the Pirates.
Pittsburgh has had a few players get hot recently. Despite that, they still are among the league’s worst offenses overall. They strike out a ton – owning the league’s second-most strikeouts and the fifth-highest K%. They also hit grounders at the fourth-highest rate in baseball. Pallante does not strike many batters out. His K/9 rate sits at 6.4 this season, which is actually an improvement over last year. He does, however, own an insane 61% career GB rate, and a 54% GB rate this season, which should help him against the Pirates.
Pallante’s pitch mix sets him up for success, because each pitch does something different for him. He features a slider, curveball, and splitter that all induce whiffs between 30-31%. He has thrown his splitter 61 times, and it has yet to be hit, while his slider has a .203 BAA. Pallante’s slider is also his best putaway pitch, with a putaway rate of 20%. In all, Pallante features a five-pitch mix, with his sinker, fastball, and splitter inducing groundball rates over 50%. His splitter has an absurd 80% GB rate. His best strikeout pitch is his curveball, which looks like this:

Pallante should be on the radar of every fantasy manager, regardless of league size, as one of the top pitching streamers for the coming week.
Shane Drohan (SP – MIL)
Next Start: Sunday, 8/30, vs TEX
Since the beginning of July, Shane Drohan has been mostly dominant, outside of one start against the Twins and another against the Rockies. In nine games during that time frame, Drohan tallied four quality starts and three wins, while striking out at least five batters six times. He has a favorable matchup against Texas next weekend.
We are picking on Texas this week, considering their status as one of the league’s worst offenses this season. They are among the worst in the league at scoring runs, while also striking out a ton. Those weaknesses correspond to Drohan’s strengths. He features an 8.8 K/9 rate and a 23% K rate, but was even better at both in the minors. He also has a sub-one HR/9 rate this season for the Brewers.
Drohan relies heavily on his fastball, slider, and sinker, but he truly is a fastball/slider pitcher. Both pitches feature a BAA under .200. His fastball features a 30% whiff rate, a 22% putaway rate, and a 31% K rate. Drohan’s slider features a 40% whiff rate, a 26% putaway rate, a 36% K rate, and a 43% GB rate. Having two pitches that earn swings and misses as such a high rate should help him immensely against the Rangers. Take a look at his first two big-league strikeouts, one of which came via his fastball:

— Milwaukee Brewers (@Brewers) April 8, 2026
Drohan may not have many starts left, considering Milwaukee’s depth at the position. So this is very much a streaming start. Still, Drohan should be one of the top pitching streamers that you should consider adding for the week.
