When determining who to add to this list of risers and fallers, I look at a standard 5×5 league ranking. The list is based on where the player ranks today, using their production from the start of the season. We then compare their current rank to their rank from ten days ago.
To ensure this list applies to most fantasy managers, I look at those that have a Fantrax ranking of 300 or better. I have also tried to avoid any players who have risen or fallen because of injury.

Fantasy Baseball Risers and Fallers
HITTING RISERS
Jac Caglianone (1B/OF, KCR)
Caglianone comes in as this week’s biggest riser. Over the last 10 days, his slash line is .425/.439/.825. Combine that with a 20% walk rate, and you get an OPS of 1.264. During the 10-day period, he ranked third in slugging. His wRC+ prior to this was a respectable 109, but for the last 10 days it was 249. He is also coming through in the clutch, ranking second in RBIs with 13. One of the biggest changes is that before this 10-day run, his strikeout percentage was 27.8%. This stretch, he cut that in half (12.2%).

Wilyer Abreu (OF, BOS)
Abreu was named AL Player of the Week for the period ending Aug. 9, his second such award of 2026. If you hit .333/.450/.867 and add 5 home runs and two stolen bases, that will get you on the risers list every week. Prior to this run, his walk rate and strikeout rate were 9.5% and 21.3%. He doubled the walk rate and cut his strikeouts in half (20%/12.5%). In standard leagues, he was in the top six in runs, RBIs, and HRs. In the other two standard categories, average and stolen bases, he was 21st.
Current Rank: 83Â Â Â Previous Rank: 113Â Â Â Rostered: 98%
Royce Lewis (3B, MIN)
Over the last 10 days, Lewis has hit in every game except one. After hitting .415/.442/.659, he has climbed 22 spots in the Fantrax ranking. He is still striking out a bit too much (27.9%), but his OPS is 1.100 for this period. Before this period, for the year his wRC+ was 92, and during the last ten games it was 211. His pull rate is down, resulting in more hits to all fields. He only has one stolen base, but his speed is still showing up with 4 doubles.
Current Rank: 273Â Â Â Previous Rank: 295Â Â Â Rostered: 87%
Bryson Stott (2B/3B, PHI)
Stott has transformed into an elite table-setter. He hit .433/.595/.567 during the last 10 days. He has done this mainly by completely flipping his strikeout and walk ratios from 18.3%/8.3% to a 7.0%/27.9% over this period. His speed has always been a part of his game, averaging 29 SB per year, and he added 4 to his total, bringing him just one shy of his total for all of last year. He ranked first in OBP, fifth for wRC+, and third in BB/K.
Current Rank: 65Â Â Â Previous Rank: 86Â Â Â Rostered: 91%
Jackson Merrill (OF, SDP)
Merrill has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games. His average is the tenth-best, with the most RBIs and the fourth-most runs scored. Merrill has bumped his average up 13 points, and his OPS jumped 44 points in just this short period. He has accomplished this mainly by increasing his launch angle and lowering his ground ball rate by 11 points. He has improved his split against righties. The production is catching up with the talent.
Current Rank: 127Â Â Â Previous Rank: 147Â Â Â Rostered: 99%
HITTING FALLERS
Brayan Rocchio (2B, SS, CLE)
Rocchio is missing pitches at an alarming rate. If he makes contact, it’s soft contact, causing him to drop the most in Fantrax ranking. His hard-hit rate fell 10 percentage points, and his average exit velocity dipped below 86 mph. He is ranking as one of the bottom five shortstops in overall OPS over the last 10 days. In the last ten days, his average was .134, zero home runs, zero stolen bases, zero RBI, and only one run scored. At this point, he is not usable in any standard fantasy lineup.
Current Rank: 210Â Â Â Previous Rank: 145Â Â Â Rostered: 69%
Cole Young (2B, SEA)
A .267 BA for this 10-day period is actually higher than his yearly average of .263. His problem is that all the other stats for a standard league are non-existent. Zero home runs, zero stolen bases, and only 1 run and 2 RBIs will send you down our rankings quickly. His wRC+ before this skid was 17 points above average, which was not bad at all for someone this young. This period it was only 17 points below average.
Current Rank: 212Â Â Â Previous Rank: 150Â Â Â Rostered: 75%
Randy Arozarena (OF, SEA)
Arozarena has always been a streaky player, and this is one of those streaks. For the year, he is hitting .276/.368/.448. During this 10-day period, he has a slash line of .194/.242/.323. For someone you can count on for 25 HR and 25 SB, to see him have only one home run and zero stolen bases over this period can be a bit troubling. With his track record, however, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him in the risers section of this report in the next week or two.
Current Rank: 132Â Â Â Previous Rank: 73Â Â Â Rostered: 99%
T.J. Rumfield (1B, COL)
Rumfield has fallen 52 spots in the Fantrax overall ranking. It’s odd to see someone have a .258 BA during the 10-day stretch and fall this much. His counting stats, however, are a problem in a standard 5×5 league. He has no home runs, no stolen bases, and only two runs and two RBI. Rumfield’s wRC+ for the year is still at 116, but if you look at just the last 10 days, it was only 52. His wOBA saw a difference of almost 100 points. FanGraphs shows his underlying numbers with a decrease in launch angle, causing more ground balls and fewer hard-hit balls to the outfield.
Current Rank: 155Â Â Â Previous Rank: 103Â Â Â Rostered: 79%
Travis Bazzana (2B, CLE)
This is the week where the league has made adjustments on how to pitch to him, and Bazzana has made any. What really jumps out is seeing his .217 SLG compared to the .384 for the year. This is just a normal progression of a young hitter getting used to the league and the league making adjustments to him. It shows how far you can fall in the rankings with just one bad week.
Current Rank: 274Â Â Â Previous Rank: 224Â Â Â Rostered: 86%
