Week 6 – Draft EPL Waiver Wire

The Week 6 EPL Waiver Wire still sees players with long-term rostering potential, even as the season has moved beyond the introductory weeks.

My Week 5 suggestions were a mixed bag. Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored against last-place Wolves. Lucas Bergvall played almost a full game, but the minutes didn’t equate to fantasy points. Robin Roefs had just one save against Aston Villa, who continue to struggle, and Kevin came off the bench again and received a yellow card.

Week 6 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire

Week 6 suggestions (rostered 50% or less) are listed in order from most to least rostered.

Harry Wilson – Midfielder – Rostered 46% – Aston Villa vs Fulham

Wilson scored his first goal of the season in the last game, and he was active throughout the game on the offensive end. Fulham have won two straight games and travel to Villa, who are sitting in 18th place. Wilson hasn’t been a consistent starter, but performances like this push him into contention to do so. Wilson has a high upside.

Jake O’Brien – Defender – Rostered 27%- Everton vs West Ham

If you’re looking for a steady defender, O’Brien is a good choice. Even in games where Everton has conceded, O’Brien brings back positive points. Everton has earned two clean sheets in their five games, and both of those were at home. Everton now hosts West Ham, who are struggling in 19th place.

Douglas Luiz – Midfielder – Rostered 26% – Nottingham Forest vs Sunderland

Luiz finally got his first start of the season, but it won’t be his last. He was on some corners and set pieces. He assisted on Forest’s only goal in the last game. Luiz has the chance to be a regular starter, and if he continues to be on set pieces, he is a high-priority choice on the EPL waiver wire. He may not be a top midfielder like he was a few years ago, but he can be a quality week-in, week-out player.

Nordi Mukiele – Defender – Rostered 24% – Nottingham Forest vs Sunderland

Mukiele has been an outstanding performer for Sunderland. In three straight starts, the defender has scored double-digit Fantrax fantasy points. More impressively, those points have come with only a single clean sheet. He’s accumulating serious defensive stats, as well as grabbing points on the attacking end of the field.

As usual, go with good matchups and your guts. Good luck!
