Gameweek 29 Waiver Wire Targets

Here we outline Fantasy EPL Gameweek 29 Waiver Wire Targets that are 40% rostered or below on Fantrax.  These players will also have a favorable run of fixtures upcoming, so they could perform very well over the upcoming period!

The following teams have double gameweeks in GW29:

Arsenal: LEI, LIV

Brighton: LIV, TOT

Everton: WOL, NEW

Liverpool: bha, ars

Newcastle: che, eve

Tottenham: mun, bha

Fabian Schar

Position: Defender

Team: Newcastle

Rostered: 40%

Next Fixture: Chelsea (Away), Everton (Away)

Prospects: Newcastle’s second DGW in a row is a two-faced one. Everton are in shambles so a clean sheet along with the possibility of some attacking returns could be on the cards for any of their defenders, whereas they start the double with Chelsea, who are just hitting form after the 4-0 demolition of Burnley. I do think that Newcastle look like they have truned a corner defensively as well, so could hold their own against Chelsea, so I would gamble on Schar if you are looking for a DGW defender, oh and he is also on quite a hot streak with attacking returns in his last 2 games.

Verdict: I would use any waiver claim or about 0-3% of my remaining FAB on Schar.

Thomas Partey

Position: Midfielder

Team: Arsenal

Rostered: 30%

Next Fixture: Leicester (Home), Liverpool (Home)

Prospects: Partey looks to have put his struggles with fitness in the early parts of his Arsenal career behind him and is looking every bit the player he was touted to be when he signed from Spain. Anchoring Arsenal’s midfield is a busy job and it should again net managers plenty of points in the GW29 double from Partey who has scored 9.5 points in 4 out of his last 5 starts. You should reasonably expect him to come up with around 15-17 points in this double.

VerdictPartey should cost you 5-8% of your FAB.

Rodrigo

Position: Forward

Team: Leeds

Ownership: 58%

Next Fixture: Norwich (Home)

Prospects:  The pool of usable starting FWDs is extremely shallow for our under 40% rostered rule, so I am actually breaking our rule to recommend someone who is at least a 2 GW play. Rodrigo started in the number 10 role in Jesse Marsch’s first match in charge and looked lively for a disappointing 4 Fpts. There is definitely more to come from him, so if he is available, it is still “buy low” time. Leeds have a relegation 6-pointer against Norwich and crucially have a fixture in GW30. Not many can boast that.

Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or about 5% of my remaining FAB on Rodrigo.
