The Week 24 EPL Waiver Wire (under 50% rostered) comes on the heels of the highest-scoring weekend in EPL history. Forty-five goals were scored, including two hat tricks from Phil Foden and Matheus Cunha. Five teams scored four or more (Aston Villa scored five, and only West Ham and last-place Sheffield United failed to score.
It’ll be interesting to see how coaches adjust their defenses and lineups depending on how week 23 went. The race at the top continues to be a fun one. This could go right to the end of the season!
EPL Waiver Wire suggestions for week 24 are listed below in order of most to least rostered in Fantrax.
Week 24 Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire
Harvey Barnes – Midfielder – 48% Rostered – Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle
Tariq Lamptey – Defender – 13% Rostered – Tottenham vs Brighton
I’ve always liked Lamptey as a fantasy player. He is quick and fast, and even as a defender, he is confident to take on opposing players. He notched an assist in the 4-1 win last weekend. When the Seagulls are playing with confidence, they can be extremely dangerous. Spurs play an open and attacking style of play, so there’s a strong chance that there will be goals in this game.
Chiedozie Ogbene – Forward – 1% Rostered – Luton vs Sheffield United
Luton has scored four goals in two straight games. Ogbene has been a part of that output, adding a goal of his own. Luton has players available on the week 24 EPL waiver (like Andy Townsend), besides just Ogbene. Luton also host Sheffield United who have now conceded 59 goals for the season, which is on pace to be one of the worst (if not THE worst) in the EPL.
Sergio Reguilon – Defender – 8% rostered – Wolves vs Brentford
Reguilon got his first start for his new team last weekend against Manchester City. While it was a tough game, Reguilon showed why he was rated so highly for a while. He was good on the offensive end of the field and recorded a shot on target. Wolves are another tough attacking team, but he’s going to get a chance to prove himself and score points.
Continue the balance of playing week to week, while keeping an eye on the roster and future, and use the EPL Waiver Wire to do both! Matchups matter. Good luck!
