The Week 25 EPL Waiver Wire (under 50% rostered) turns its focus to the upcoming set of double games.
It’s been a while since we’ve had a double week, but four teams play twice this week: Manchester City, Liverpool, Brentford, and Luton Town. There aren’t a lot of choices from City and Liverpool, but Luton and Brentford have some interesting players still available. Even after the tough loss to Sheffield United, Luton have playable options. Brentford play Liverpool and City, the two two teams in the league, so be wary.
EPL Waiver Wire suggestions for week 25 are listed below in order of most to least rostered in Fantrax.
Week 25 Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire
Christian Norgaard – Midfielder – 49% Rostered – Liverpool vs Brentford, Brentford vs Manchester City,
Norgaard falls just under the 50% cut-off. He scored last time out, even though he’s primarily pulling strings in the midfield. These are the worst matchups a player could have, but while his opponents are good, they have a tendency to give up a goal or two as well. As a player on often set pieces and with two games, there’s some value here. I’m also looking at teammates Neal Maupay and Sergio Reguilon.
Curtis Jones – Midfielder – 39% Rostered – Brentford vs Liverpool, Liverpool vs Luton
Jones isn’t flashy, and he’s got just a single goal and assist this season thus far. He’s solid and has pretty much locked down this starting spot. In a week where he should play twice, both against bottom-table teams, Jones starts to become an interesting pick-up on the week.
Gabriel Osho – Defender – 31% Rostered – Luton vs Manchester United, Liverpool vs Luton
In a normal week, I’m not looking at Osho, but with two games and two chances at points, I’m considering him for the week. He’s popped up for two goals on the season, but here you’re hoping for an accumulation of points over the two games. He’s a big center back and he’ll be forced to defend. It may be worth rolling the dice on the EPL waiver wire for him this week.
Ansu Fati – Forward – 21% Rostered – Sheffield United vs Brighton
Fati is back from injury, and he’ll be looking to get into the starting lineup. This is a hope-and-see selection. SHU got a much-needed win, but still are the team to bet against. Fati may be a long shot here, but I like the matchup and I’m looking to grab BHA attacking players on the EPL waiver wire.
It’s been a great EPL season and the title race may come down the wire.
Good luck on the EPL waiver wire and the week ahead.
