The week 34 EPL waiver wire is about in filling the gaps for the six teams who don’t play this weekend: Manchester City, Chelsea, Brighton, Bournemouth, Leeds, and Burnley. All the teams who played twice in week 33 are off this week. Managers will need to bring in players and decide who is worth holding onto with just a few weeks left in the season.
Week 33 suggestion Abdukodir Khusanov had a massive double week for Fantrax managers who were able to pick him up, scoring the 4th most points on week for any player. He had back to back season high points for himself, and he’s a keeper during the home stretch. Jack Hinshelwood blanked in his frist game for Brigthon, but make up for it against Chelsea with a goal in the 3-0 win. James Ward-Prowse played the full 90 in both games, earning double digit points. Good not great. Jayden Bogle earned a clean sheet against Wolves, but he was subbed off at the half in their second game.
Manchester City have officially overtaken Arsenal at the top of the table. Wolves and Burnley are mathematically relegated. But there’s a lot to play for still.
Week 34 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire
Week 34 suggestions (rostered 50% or less) are listed in order from most to least rostered.
Konstantinos Mavropanos – Defender – Rostered 37% – West Home vs Everton
West Ham sit just two points above the relegation zone, so every point matters for them. West Ham have kept back to back shut outs, and the Greek defender had massive points over those last two games, including two goals in week 32. He has double digit points and three goals over his last four. He’s a strong pick on the EPL waiver wire wire this week at home, and should be a solid choice as West Ham fight for EPL survival.
Igor Jesus – Forward – Rostered 36% – Sunderland vs Nottingham Forest
Igor has a disappointing four goals on the season, but there is hope. Two of those goals have come in the last three games. Strikers thrive on confidence. Forest have scored eight goals in their last three, and they haven’t lost in five straight. Chris Wood is also back, so there’s some caution here too. They’re not quite safe, but they are close. Sunderland remind mid table and inconsistent.
Conor Gallagher – Midfielder – Rostered 33% – Wolves vs Spurs
Gallagher was brought in to help keep Spurs from exactly where they find themselves. He started strong, but then like the team had fallen off. He’s had back to back solid games though, and they travel to last place and relegated Wolves. Wolves conceded seven goals in their last two games, and with nothing to play for it’s hard to read how they will react. Spurs have it all to play for, and they’ll need veteran players like Gallagher to step up. This is a must win for Spurs. Gallagher is a good option this week on the EPL waiver wire.
Keane Lewis-Potter – Midfielder – Rostered 23% – Manchester United vs Brentford
Lewis-Potter has four straight games with more than 10 Fantrax points. Over that stretch he has just one assist and no goals, so he’s grabbing consistent and decent stats even without big moments. He also has gotten off at least one shot in each of those games. The Bees are undefeated in their last six and are pushing for a spot in Europe. They travel to Manchester United who sit in 3rd in the league, but Brentford will come ready.
It’s important to get a full squad in a week with so many players sitting. So use the waiver wire to be sure you get those spots full. Go with the matchups. Good luck. Have fun.
