Week 7 MLB FAAB Report
JJ Bleday (OF – Cincinnati Reds) – 44% Rostered
Once a highly touted prospect drafted 4th overall by the Marlins back in 2022, Bleday is now on his third team with the Reds. He started the season in Triple-A, and after slashing a very impressive .341/.462/.659 over 104 plate appearances, the Reds called him up to the big club. The hot start continued as he is slashing .303/.410/.727 through his first 10 games. He has not only shown great plate discipline (15% BB rate) but has also flashed power upside with four home runs to go with two doubles.
The sample size is small, but the hot start and the fact that the Reds have already moved him up near the top of the order have him as a top waiver wire add going forward.
FAAB Suggestion: 5-10%
Ezequiel Duran (1B, 2B, SS, OF – Texas Rangers) – 28% Rostered
Duran has been mostly a part-time, utility player over his first four years in the league, but he has been more of a regular in 2026 due to injuries to Josh Smith and Wyatt Langford. While the Rangers offense overall has been a disappointment, Duran has been very good, entering Friday with an impressive .304/.385/.494 slash line and has hits in five straight games.
The hot start appears to be sustainable as the underlying metrics are quite strong. He ranks in the 70th percentile in xwOBA, 80th percentile in xBA, 67th percentile in walk rate, and 74th percentile in K rate. The exit velo (82nd percentile) and hard hit rate (71st percentile) also provide some optimism that there may be more power upside, as well.
With his four-position eligibility, he is easily in play in all formats.
FAAB Suggestion: 3-5%
Matthew Liberatore (SP – St. Louis Cardinals) – 55% Rostered
Liberatore lacks overall upside but has been very serviceable if you are in need of an arm. While he has been up and down to start the year, he enters week seven trending up as he has limited the Padres and Dodgers to a combined eight hits and three earned runs over his last two starts.
There is a chance we see more upside going forward as we look at the pitch splits. He throws a slider 25% of the time (2nd most), which generates a lofty 37% K rate and has a Stuff+ of 113, while the curveball is his fourth most used pitch (12%) and has a 36% K rate and 127 Stiff+.
He makes a nice streaming option if you are waiting for other pitchers on your roster to get healthy, and is a nice 5th/6th option in deeper leagues.
FAAB Suggestion: 2-3%
J.T. Ginn (SP – Athletics) – 21% Rostered
For the most part, it has been a struggle in 2026 for Ginn. He opened the season working out of the bullpen, allowing four earned runs over seven innings with just four total punchouts. Things started to turn around for him once he entered the rotation, allowing three or fewer earned runs in five of his six starts, good for a 3.26 ERA/3.84 xERA. More good news as he is coming off a career-best start where he went eight innings against the Phillies, allowing just four hits and one solo home run while striking out eight and walking just one.
Don’t expect the strikeout upside to continue as his chase and whiff rates are below average, but there is still a lot to like. He has an elite ground ball rate and limits hard contact and barrels with a very balanced five-pitch mix. What I like most about using Ginn as a streaming option is the plus matchups against the Cardinals and Angels in his next two starts. I like him more in points leagues and would only pickup in roto if desperate for pitching.
FAAB Suggestion: 1-2%
