The 2026 season has reshaped the dynasty landscape. Breakouts have created new stars, prospects have graduated, and injuries have forced us to rethink the long-term outlook for plenty of players. Jacob Misiorowski has gone from electric pitching prospect to a fantasy ace, while Jordan Walker has reminded everyone why he was once viewed as one of baseball’s premier young hitters. On the flip side, injuries, role changes, and disappointing performances have caused several big names to slide. That’s the fun and the challenge of dynasty leagues. Player values never stop moving.
Whether you’re rebuilding from the ground up, retooling on the fly, or making a push for a championship, dynasty success comes down to staying ahead of player value before the rest of your league catches up. My goal with these rankings is to help you identify those risers, avoid potential value traps, and make better long-term decisions.

This update reflects everything we’ve learned through the first half of the season. Prospect graduations, MLB performance, promotions, injuries, organizational changes, and long-term upside have all been factored into these rankings. While future value will always be the foundation of the Dynasty 500, players who have shown legitimate skill growth have earned meaningful jumps.
The next full update will come shortly after the MLB Draft, once the newest draft class has been evaluated and integrated into the Dynasty 500.
About the Rankings
Here are a few reminders about the Top 500 Dynasty Rankings.
- These are dynasty rankings built for long-term leagues, not redraft formats. Younger players and prospects will often rank ahead of productive veterans because the focus is on the next 5-10 years.
- The rankings are built primarily for 15-team roto leagues with weekly lineup locks, but you’ll also find a separate Points League ranking for H2H points formats.
- The ‘Change’ column reflects movement only in the Roto rankings since the previous update. Points ranking changes are not included. Players who were previously unranked will show a ‘0’.
- Age, ceiling, and overall skill set carry more weight than current team context or short-term playing time. That said, Statcast trends, injuries, promotions, performance, and trade rumors all play a role in player movement.
- Prospect rankings are performance-informed but still lean heavily on upside. Players with impact fantasy tools and star potential will generally rank ahead of safer, lower-ceiling options, even if those players are closer to the majors.
- These rankings do not account for salaries, contracts, or keeper values, so adjust accordingly if you’re in a salary cap or contract league.
- Player value is always contextual. A rebuilding team may prefer a high-upside prospect, while a contender may prioritize established production. Use these rankings as a guide, but build around your own roster and league.
- Do your own research. This is a guide, not the final word on dynasty values. Trust your evaluations and don’t be afraid to have players ranked differently than I do.
- Once you get deeper into the rankings, the differences between players become much smaller. At that point, think more in terms of tiers than exact ranking numbers, and don’t be afraid to trust your preferences.

Hi. It appears the “Level” column is off for many players, e.g., Pablo Lopez, Cam Smith, Triston Casas all listed at A+.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The table has been updated with the correct layout and such players have been updated with accurate Levels.
Feel free to let us know if anything else is missing.
I’m seeing a lot of issues/errors with this list. Like Triston Casas gaining +16 in the rankings but under performing before exiting with a season long knee injury. It also says he is at A+ and not MLB.
Roman Anthony dropped a bunch as well. The kid is the top hitting prospect in baseball and has been mashing. A lot of other questionable takes here. This list must have populated incorrectly. Might want to double check.
Thank you for pointing this out. The original upload looks to have scattered some data. The table has been re-uploaded with the correct rankings.
I appreciate your rankings and all the work that goes into putting them together, not easy I’m sure. I’m curious though, why does the search bar constantly disappear? It seems to go missing nearly every day for hours at a time. it’s a bit tough reading through 500 names when trying to evaluate one player. no big deal, still love the rankings and will continue reading them, again I appreciate your work. just wondering…
This is interesting, I wasn’t aware that the search bar was disappearing, we will look into this and see if there is something causing it. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
No Tanner Scott?
He should honestly be on the list, but in the loaded Dodgers back end of the bullpen it’s tough to rank him when there are at least 4 bullpen arms that could stake a claim to saves. In a Saves + Holds league I would love him, until we see how the Dodger bullpen will be managed its hard to nail down who deserves to be here.
he’s not a star (yet) but how could you list 514 players for 2025 and michael toglia is not 1 of them? at least at the very end? i am positive you simply forgot he’s around.
He’s a career .206 hitter with a strikeout rate of 33%, a contact rate of 65% and swinging strike rate of 15% don’t give much confidence he will strikeout less. His statcast numbers are great but his whiff% and K% are in the 3rd percentile in baseball, that isn’t sustainable. I had him on my list for a few 100 players and every time I compared him to other players he got pushed further down the list.
No Nestor?
He’s 30 and had back to back down years and eventually getting demoted to the Yankee bullpen (potentially unjustly) left me without much hope for him moving forward. The trade to the Brewers might revitalize him, and if he’s a mid 3’s ERA he should be on this list but I don’t think I can buy into him in dynasty until I see him perform well in 2025.
Where is Jeimer? you really hate this dude, huh?
He had a rough season, and at 31 he is trending in the wrong direction. With Stewart, Collier, CES, Arroyo, Marte all with more upside advocating for playing time at the corners and DH in the near future. I think he is the odd man out sooner rather than later. However, he has had bounce back years before so very possible in Cincinnati that he proves me wrong, as of right now I am out on him.
Cole Ragans and Tarik Skubal need to be top 150. Lots of questionable bats up there…
New update will be available in the new few days. Ragans is making a jump but not that high; Skubal will be right in that range.
Given his dominance and that you still have guys like Cristian Javier and Dylan Cease in or just outside the top 100, is it safe to assume that in the next update Cole Ragans is going to be moved up at least that far?
He won’t get that high, though he is due for a decent jump. With guys like Javier and Cease we’ve seen enough at the MLB level to hopefully say 2023 was a one-off and they’ll rebound next year. However, they’re both going to move down a bit again. With Ragans, the two-month stretch is nice and deserves to be praised but he’s shown most of his dominance against OAK/PIT/CHW. Hasn’t quite looked right in his last two against TOR/HOU.
This aged poorly
Max Fried + what for Luis Roberts?
Not sure I’d want to move Robert for a package headlined by Fried. It would likely need to be another top-50 bat at least. Depends on lot on your roster, league settings, etc
Chase Silseth is listed twice – #305 and #387?
Thanks for the catch. It was supposed to be Graham Ashcraft at 387
I know you don’t add potential international guys to the list. But, it seems an almost certainty that Yoshinobu Yamamoto will get posted and be in an MLB rotation next season. Given that where would you estimate he’d fall on this list? Top 100? Going further and far more speculative. Where would Roki Sasaki be estimated? His profile and age are similar to Skenes and he’s sitting in the 70’s. Appreciate the insights thanks!
I’m with you on all accounts here, both Sasaki and Yamamoto are easily top-100 if they were on the list. Obviously Sasaki is tough because if he was a standard prospect, we’d be seeing his debut this month or early next year. Unfortunately, we’re probably waiting a few years. Yamamoto’s landing spot will have some impact on his ranking but my guess right now is somewhere in the 50-60 range? Could absolutely be higher once we see his first few starts.
Dynasty league / I need pitchers and some youth (we roster 15 minor leaguers). Which of these two trade returns do you like coming my way:
Option A:
Hunter Brown
Andrew Painter
Spencer Steer
Ronny Mauricio
Option B:
Grayson Rodriguez
Mitch Keller
Adam Bohm
Pete Crow-Armstrong
I lean toward Option A. Obviously Painter requires some patience but if you’re in a competitive spot next year you could flip him. I think Brown is the best arm you named for dynasty formats and I’m not in love with any of these bats.
I’m in a Dynasty points league; we redraft every three years. Keep 5 batters 3 pitchers and 15 minor leaguers. We have 2 more seasons after this one before the next draft. Of 17 teams I am near middle of pack. My pitching is a problem. I have Freddie Freeman on my team and am considering trading him for young talent.
I may be able to get 2-4 of these players from a couple of different teams (not all of them for FF).
Group 1:
Spencer Steer
Andrew Painter
Brooks Lee
Ronny Mauricio
Brett Baty
James Triantos
Group two:
Taj Bradley
Endy Rodriguez
Miguel Vargas
Jackson Chourio
Tanner Bibee
Junior Caminero
Which players from which group would you target??
That’s an interesting league setup, seems like it would keep things pretty fresh. Out of everyone there, I wouldn’t move Freeman unless the offer began with an elite prospect, so Chourio or Caminero. I like Taj, and Bibee to a lesser extent, if you need pitching but not for Freeman. Vargas and Painter are good buy-low options (Painter obviously requires some patience).
I accepted a trade yesterday in my deep dynasty league where I sent Trea Turner and Brusdar Graterol for a package of James Wood, Heston Kjerstad, Jack Leiter, and Andrew Painter (as a throw-in after the TJ announcement)
In a dynasty league where we only keep 9…generally best to save full waiver budget ($100) for a top prospect. Should I spend $100 in Encarnacion-Strand? Or take my chances and wait for someone else to be called up?
That feels fairly league-dependent. I don’t think I’d use my entire budget on one player, but assuming he’s getting decent playing time, CES might be the most impactful call-up we’ll see the rest of the year, at least for the 2023 season.
No Edwin Arroyo? huh?
Arroyo has a sub-.700 OPS with nine HR and 16 SB in 99 games since being traded by Seattle. Outside of a two-week hot stretch to begin June, his OPS this season is under .600. He’s talented and worth keeping an eye on but his fantasy value has plummeted in the last year since he was sent to Cincy.
Why is Mason Auer TBB on this list?
He is batting .172 and striking out in nearly 40% of plate appearances in AA.
He is 22, and has great speed, but he will never make the majors if he does not improve that strikeout rate.
He’s been off the list in the last two updates but it appears the csv download hasn’t been updated if that’s what you’re referring to. I’ll see if we can get that updated to match the actual rankings shown here currently.
12 team roto dynasty league (5×5). keep 7 keepers annually. Trade Trout for Kirby, Pressly, and Stephenson (cather) as currently 3rd in standings (four teams get paid). Would be trading with first place team. Also, i could keep Kirby (other keepers are: J-Rod, Witt Jr, Matt Olson, Corey Seager and potentials for final three spots (Kirby, Buxton, Adolis Garcia, Bogaerts, Bieber, Gausman, Felix Bautista, and McLain if he keeps playing well). thoughts on making trade and what other three keepers would you keep after the big four solid Keepers.
I’d want the Trout side. The hamate injury means he’s missing at least six weeks or so and probably won’t contribute as much down the stretch but I’d still definitely prefer him as a keeper.
I am surprised by the lack of Lamonte Wade, I get his value is less in non obp leagues and he doesn’t give you any steals but his high obp should help his runs, he doesn’t hurt you batting average, and his power is ok. That low on him?
Yeah he’ll pop in on the next update (coming within a week or so). He could’ve snuck in to this update but I haven’t been very high on him previously. And you’re correct, certainly more value in OBP with an elite walk rate. He’s been a bit better against LHP this season as well but in general he’s probably better suited as a platoon bat.
Joe Ryan and Zac Gallen
for
eloy, neto, Emmanuel Rodriguez, degrom, eury
team getting eloy would drop raya, snelling, and collier and rebuild vs contender trade
As a rebuild vs contender trade I’m not sure it makes a ton of sense for either side. I’d rather have the Ryan/Gallen side. If I was trading those two, Eury is a good start, but I’d rather have a better second piece than Eloy or Neto. DeGrom doesn’t help much for a rebuilder or contender right now unless they could flip him for something decent.
Which trade side do you prefer:
Taj Bradley/Michael Busch/Colton Cowser
vs.
Adolis Garcia/Zack Wheeler
I slightly prefer the veterans here. It’s not too far off but if I was selling Adolis + Wheeler, I’m not sure this would be enough. It’s getting closer with Taj settling in though, and depending on league context I could see this deal happening.
i’ve got a contending, young team in a dynasty sv/hld league but don’t have a true lockdown reliever, i even have one starting RP spot unfilled because i haven’t liked my options. Currently have AJ Puk & Jason Adams on the squad, and Alexis Diaz was recently made available. Compensation would equate to about two second-round picks or a second rounder and William Contreras (he’s floated on and off waivers all year, not a lot of catcher love in this league). Would you (1) hold Contreras regardless and find another player in there since you have him pretty high on your rankings and then (2) either make the move for Diaz as the Reds ascend and get a top RP to fill out the roster or just go through waivers to find a third guy? appreciate the help
I’ll preface this by saying bullpen arms drive me nuts. They tend to be very inconsistent and ranking them, at least in my mind, is very tough. That being said, even after I moved Diaz up ~140 spots in the last update, it wasn’t enough. He’s filthy. I’m curious about the league in general if someone like William Contreras is barely being rostered, but I’m guessing you’re already locked in with another better catcher? I think these two will be much closer in the next update. While I’d try moving someone less valuable than Contreras, Diaz would be a great option based on what you’re saying you need. I’d still try to hawk the wire for SVH as closers aren’t quite as valuable in those formats and there are plenty “hot hand” options. However, having what looks like a long-term elite SVH guy that you can set-and-forget is a nice luxury.
Dynasty League: My current OF is:
Aaron Judge
Bryce Harper (DH)
Juan Soto
Josh Lowe
Daulton Varsho
Yordan Alavarez
Was offered Michael Harris for Bobby Miller? Would you make that trade even with the OF I have?
Bobby Miller will be moving up a good bit in the next update but Harris will still be higher. That being said, this probably depends on personal preference. I think if I had that setup I might try to squeeze a little more out for Miller but if you think you’re getting better value with Harris, you could always try to flip someone. Maybe a sell-high move on Lowe? I think Harris for Miller is getting to be a pretty fair deal for both sides at this point.
Someone just dropped Vinnie Pasquantino in my dynasty league. How aggresive should I be with my free agent dollars?
I’d say very. I don’t play many leagues with FAAB so I’m no expert but it’s highly unlikely you’ll see another player like him become available anytime soon
Glasnow and steer for
Ashcraft, Grayson, and Vinnie P
Vinnie P side
Dynasty League. Would you trade Nestor Cortes/Bryce Miller/Christian Encarnacion-Strand for Luis Castillo? Or is that an overpay?
Yeah if you’re making a push I think that’s a fine price to pay for Castillo
Two things: 1) No Ben Joyce love? I know his sample size is 2 major league innings, but my goodness, he reminds me of when A.Chapman came into the league. 2) If you included international players would Roki Sasaki make this list?
1) Joyce will almost certainly be in next month’s update. These rankings were finished up just before his debut and his Double-A numbers were very sketchy. Really hoping he continues doing what he’s shown in the small MLB sample because it’s super exciting.
2) Sasaki would immediately be the best pitching prospect in baseball if he signed with an MLB club today. As for his ranking it’s tough to guess. 100ish, maybe even higher? It’s difficult because he’s 21 but we know he’s not coming to the league for at least a few more years. Yamamoto, Murakami, Lee, etc. would all make the list as well.
Doug, true, other than injuries, surprise call-ups, demotions and fulfilling expectations a year late (see Jarred Kelenic), the first 30-60 days of a season don’t matter in dynasty.
I’ll be updating these more frequently moving forward but I don’t think major updates are necessary after a month of games. The potential to overreact to things that early (James Outman is a good example) is too high. Moving players up and down repeatedly two months into a season doesn’t really benefit anyone in my opinion.
Was this actually even updated…?
Rankings have been updated as of today
Gotta say, it’s been disappointing to not have a single update to this ranking yet. I know we don’t pay for this, but early season pickups and rankings are crucial as we have these players you know, forever. Again, we don’t pay, but those early season updates in the past were very useful.
On that subject … what do folks think is a great dynasty site (with rankings) that is or isn’t subscription-based. Thank you.
The next update is targeted for June 1 but there have been several updates since these were initially released. They started out as a top 400 and the next update brought them to a top 500. Other than injuries, basing dynasty rankings and evaluation on a month of performance is not a winning strategy.
Question: I’m in a 10 team dynasty points league (keep 15 major leaguers & 10 minor leaguers). I have a very competitive roster. Of these available players in our draft, how would you rank these guys I could grab: Trevor Story, Liam Hendriks, Taylor Ward, & Jered Kelenic? Thanks!
A lot of this depends on how your roster is set up but I like Ward the most out of that group by a decent margin. Kelenic is a decent option if you believe in some level of rebound + can afford to stash him for a bit if things don’t click.
Where does Jared Shuster fall outside the top 500? Will his earning the rotation spot bring him into the top 500?
In general I’m not really expecting him to be much more than a back-end rotation piece long-term. If I were to update today he’d probably sneak into the back-end of these rankings but it’s tough to buy in too much on spring performance.
I was offered Spencer Steer and Waldichuk for Rizzo. Finishing up a rebuild, is this fair value?
Depends on how deep your league is but I think I’d aim for something a bit more. You’re probably on the right track with some MLB-ready prospect types but I’m just not very high on either. For what it’s worth, I acquired Rizzo this offseason for two players, including Luis Ortiz, who is ~80 spots higher here than the two you mentioned.
Are you able to add a csv download link to this page?
That’s a great idea. We’ll have that up in the next 48 hours.
Dynasty League. Current rotation is:
Sandy/Ohtani/Cease/Gilbert/Glasnow
Need an OF. Do you trade Cease ($0.10/1yr) for Teoscar ($3/1) straight up? WHIP and BB are both categories. Current OF (4 OF League) is Yelich/Kris Bryant/Renfroe. Best FA OF available are Michael Harris/Carroll/McCarthy/Kwan/Stanton.
Judging by the salaries/contracts, I assume you mean the FA guys like Harris and Carroll will be available in the auction for this season? I’d probably just focus there if that’s the case. If you need to make a trade, I’d aim for a higher bat using Cease.
One to cut between Jared Walsh, Garrett Cooper, and Wil Myers. Who you droppin?
I’d go Cooper. I think I can talk myself into a decent enough rebound for Walsh after the surgery. Myers is a bit of a wild card but I’d be willing to roll the dice on the GABP effect this season.
What happened to Eric?
Eric Cross is no longer with Fantrax. Reach out to him on Twitter.
Why the cut from 500 to 300 names? I was really relying on those later rankings in my dynasty league. I hope this is temporary.
The latest update was 300 and Tyler will be adding another 100 in short order and be back up to 500 before too long.
Hey Eric!
Love the list, use it all the time for my Dynasty league. Currently in the first year player draft – any thoughts on Brock Porter vs Dylan Lesko? I’ve read a ton of material on both in terms of scouting reports and analysis – just curious what you think!
Cheers.
I am in a dynasty league and was offered jake McCarthy and a 2024 2nd round pick (we only draft prospects from the previous year’s draft and international signings) for Daniel Espino. Am I selling low on Espino?
Hey Eric!
I have a dynasty league where I am allowed to keep my entire roster every year forever.
I am considering the following trade. I would be trading away Mookie Betts (who has 2B and OF eligibility) and Eloy Jimenez FOR Kyle Tucker and Wander Franco. Given that Mookie has 2nd base eligibility which is hard to come by for elite players, should I still do this deal? Note that I do already have a capable second baseman in Jazz Chisholm. Thank you again for all of your work!
Saw your comments on Donovan not being a long-term starter. Being close to the Cards, I would say adjust that expectation. They love him internally.
I play in a 8 team semi dynasty league where we keep six players. I have Realmuto C, Witt Jr SS, Arenado 3B, Betts OF, Scherzer SP, and Nola SP. I have the 3rd overall pick and it look like Bichette SS and Simien 2B are going to be the best hitters available. Do I draft Bichette and move Witt to UTL or take Simien at 2B and fill in a position I do not have yet?
I have noticed that Jhonkensy Noel has fallen off your Top 500. Just too much swing and miss, and potentially no defensive home? Or am I missing something else?
Where would Trevor Bauer fall on this updated list now that he has been reinstated? I know he hasn’t been signed yet, is that the reason he has not been included in the new rankings to this point? The longer we go without hearing him connected to any team the higher the chances I think he remains unsigned.
Closers are always too low in these rankings. I looked a couple who didn’t even make the list. If you were starting a 15-team dynasty league and had a 33 round draft to kick it off (495 picks), any current closer is getting taken by someone.
Why no Brendan Donovan?
Hey Eric,
Thank you again for all of the great content! When will the next rankings come out? 🙂
Matt Mervis gonna get any love next update?
Will Luis Rengifo crack your next update, I’m a bit intrigued by him and the price should be right in my 20 team dynasty league where my 2B is a mess and Nick Gonzalez took a step back.
Year 2. I’m sucking in my 12 team dynasty league where we keep 12 of the players year to year. Do I try to get 12 best players 8 batters 4 pitchers? How can I leverage? NA counts towards the 12. I’m thinking of trading 2 for 1 to update top talent.

Any explanation you can provide for dropping Will Smith (LAD) 30 spots, and adding 6 years to his life?
Elly DLC all the way up into the 80s? Is that serious or are you just trying to get our attention? Those Ks throughout pro career speak to very high risk, and he has 9 just games at AA.
Hey Eric,
I’m in a 12 team dynasty league, I’m in a major rebuild and arms are very hard to come by(scoring weight is messed up and pitchers are more valuable). That being said, I have to drop 3 to make room for enough active MLB guys (league rule). Any input?

Keeper League: Was offered Corey Seager for Jeremy Pena and Nate Cortes.
Thoughts?
Is that actually important? He put up 30 homers and 16 steals. If you’re playing season stats does it matter the distribution? If you’re playing head to head there’s always ups and downs. If he got all his stats in one half, that might make him an even better player as you could use the 2nd half of somebody “better”. Of course, he still had 8 homers and 8 steals in the 2nd half, so you might not find that better person in the FA pool. Plenty of players have a bad half, heck a lot of them have a bad season, and most of the guys on this list are no exception, but I still don’t think you should discount the fact that he’s a 30-20 guy who quals CF and put a bunch of guys who aren’t going to ever do those kind of numbers ahead of him. e.g. Benintendi (career best/2017: 20 hr, 20 sb; 2021: 17 hr, 8 sb; 2022: 3 hr, 1 sb(talk about unusable)). I’d rather have inconsistently great than consistently mediocre/bad. His career 162-g average is 30 homers, 18 sb, 83 R, 92 RBI. Sure, he’s a career .241 – and that will bring some rough times – but I still think he deserves more love. He has great counting numbers. Anyway, my 2 cents – there will always be debate on players, thanks for spending the time to publish this list.
What is your take on Mize’s future? Is he worth hanging on to in a 26 player/12 team league?
Why no love for Adolis Garcia?
Is there that little call for 30 homer/20 steal CF’ers?
Great update to the list, been waiting for this! Question (of course) – Santiago Espinal and Thairo Estrada seem like very similar players….in fact the biggest difference is SB advantage for Thairo. Just wondering why Espinal is at 280 while Thairo is unranked. Thairo is younger as well. Thanks!
Would you trade Josiah Gray for Salvador Perez in dynasty league? Obviously Perez is better but his higher age worries me.
Roansey for Austin Hays. Thoughts?
Need dynasty help. OF set with Harper/Alvarez/Buxton/Judge/Soto.
Need pitching help. Would you trade Kelenic/Ketel Marte for Aaron Nola/Trevor Story?
Awesome update, Eric! I was offered Kelenic for either Jordan Walker or Nolan Gorman. 12 team dynasty, I’m in a full rebuild.
I see you have Kelenic higher on your dynasty list than the other two, so obviously I know you’d probably trade one of those two guys for him. Do you think it’s worth the risk and that he will figure things out? Has his future potential taken a drastic hit as opposed to someone like Gorman/Walker who still are complete unknowns at the MLB level?
Thanks so much in advance and appreciate all your work!
When is the next update scheduled! Thank you for what you do. Early season rankings crucial!
12 team H2H dynasty league…I would be trading Max Meyer and I would be receiving George Kirby and Carlos Correa.
My SS was Mondesi who is now most likely out for the year and I am desperate at SS until Volpe gets the call.
I am extremely high on Meyer but I’m torn because Kirby is a good replacement as well. Any input? Thanks!
Need some dynasty wisdom! Was offered Jose Altuve and Kiner-Falefa for Jo Adell and Hunter Greene. My team is pretty well balanced, 2b isn’t an immediate need but would be an upgrade over G. Torres, Vidal Brujan and E. Escobar.
Finished 4th last year. Worth it to upgrade 2b and win now or hope that Adell and Greene hit their ceiling for years to come?
Hi Eric, great stuff here – and awesome to see you engage in the comment section. Quick Q: if you were in a league where Ohtani was two players, SP and Utility, where would you rank each on this list?
Who would you rather trade away in this scenario. I have Volpe and Noelvi in my minors. I can potentially pry away the #1 pick in our majors redraft using one of them knowing Ramirez or Harper is available. (one is guaranteed) Volpe appears to have a safer floor but Marte is a bigger ceiling. Should I just wait for them to join the big leagues and enjoy the fruits of their potential labor.
Currently have Soto, Judge, Story, France, Franmil, McNeil, Barrero, A Rosario on offense. Not currently worried about pitching. .
Mr, Cross, I am in 12 team keeper league where we can keep all, we have a short 5 round draft, and 20 mandatory 20 of the 70 half to qualify for Minors. It has been running for at least 15 years this league. Your list does not include Catcher/IB Sam Huff . Would he be in the top 600 if you were draw up such a list?
Hi Eric,
Just wanted your thoughts on a trade I accepted a few days ago. 12-team league. I received Luis Severino and I gave up Alejandro Kirk, Jose Miranda and Victor Robles. I am in win-now mode. Did I give up too much for Sevy? Thanks!
Zack
I can not find 3b Kyle Seager.
Hey Eric, great list I check it out all the time. Just looking for some tough advice on who I should keep in my 12 team, 6 keeper League. Who out of these 7 would you not keep? Who is the odd man out?
Wander Franco
Jose Abreu
Aaron judge
Corey Seager
Starling Marte
Shane Baz
Julio Rodriguez
I am stumped and would appreciate some advice!
Thanks again,
Brett
Hi Eric! Big fan of the work you do. Just started a podcast of my own, would love to chat with you some time.
Is Tatis getting bumped down in the wake of another big IR stint ahead? I’m not feeling like I can put my dynasty in his hands with the 1.1 like I was yesterday.
Thanks! Not sure if the first one went thru, ha
Hi Eric these comments look pretty old but worth a shot! Which 2 would you keep of Franco, Robert, Buehler or Freeman? 6×6 with avg and ops. We keep 3 (ohtani is other), have 21 players on roster Thanks!
Eric, appreciate your work and love reading through your insights. Was hoping you could help me out with a (good) conundrum that I find myself in.
I’m in a 10-team keeper league with h2h cats scoring (6×6 with holds and OPS). Each team can keep up to 12 players without penalty (draft pick, salary, etc.) for as long as they want. Based on this update, you and I are pretty much in lockstep on keepers but was wondering if overall roster construction would cause you to change your mind on any of them.
I’m currently planning to keep the following players: Acuna, Soto, Ohtani (SP and U eligible), JoRam, Wander, Bellinger, Ketel, Buehler, Alcantara, Flaherty, Manoah, and Hader.
However, I also have the following options available as well: Vaughn, Gausman, McClanahan, Gallen, and Ian Anderson.
Would you make any changes? Or would you sit tight with the 12 players that I listed and move my depth for some draft pick upgrades? I could also package a player I’m not keeping with one that I am for a keeper upgrade, too.
Thanks so much for the advice!
Was curious how a couple of the old guys would rank, with Cruz at 317 at age 41 and Verlander at 461 at age 39. Still think Cruz has another productive year in him? Not confident that Verlander can come back strong?
first full year as a SP w/ 3.71era, 1.13whip, 3.2 war and .234 BAA, slight up-tick in K’s = ace, sooo
why do you hate Casey Mize?
Glasnow?
Is it time for Reynaldo Lopez to return to the top 400? How about Drew Rasmussen, he’s had solid minor league numbers which has translated to the bigs.
Thanks for all the work you do.
Curious if you ended up doing this. Burnes of course had a huge year.
Luzardo could be a buy low in the coming years but hes really fallen from grace. Abrams got hurt so hes back another year and i personally dont see him as more than a slightly more powerful dee strange gordon.
I like Pearson but TJ is inevitable my book. Crazy risk high reward for me.
Love using this as a reference so thank you for that. I particularly like that you are aggressively ranking prospects (because they should be)
I do think Cease is as many as 50 spots to low and that’s coming from a Tigers fan
Any tips on poaching talent? Just finishing up my 1st year of a dynasty Fantasy baseball league. Finished 8th out of 14 teams, no playoffs. Spent most of the year down near 10-12 rank. I don’t know what I’m doing. I don’t watch baseball. (ex I started the season thinking it was weird that there were 2 Shohei Otani’s. What a unique name and they’re two of them. Ahh he’s 1 guy. Same thing with Wander Franco? Good thing I have the right one)
I am using this opportunity poach as much future talent as possible FA/IR. I’m not in a win now mode but 2-3 years I want people to be jealous. Hopefully league mates don’t read this section. I made a trade early in the year: Bryce Harper my #1 draft pick for Wander Franco and Gleybar Torres. Hopefully that pays off.

Hi Eric, thanks for everything you do. You have really amped up my prospect list and outlook for dynasty. I’m in two now so still a novice and learning a lot from you and the other writers at Fantrax.
In a 12 tm 6×6 OPS/QS and currently barely in 1st. However, the league is a bit soft and waiver wire pickups are to be had. I have a bunch of P’s in your 70-150 range (Fried/Anderson/Lopez/Gilbert/Snell/Scherzer/Musgrove/Sale) and I would like to move some combo of those for Cole. My top is Giolito and I also have Ohtani.
The Cole owner is not contending this year and could use 2-3 SP’s. I offered Lopez/Gilbert/Fried for Cole and it was rejected. Was thinking of offering Musgrove/Fried/Gilbert for Cole. I need to unload a few SP’s as I have some on the IL like Lopez/Clev/Gio who I want to keep obviously but I don’t have the space.
Thanks again.
Just got offered Walker Buehler at $29
For my:
Rutschman $3
Luciano $0
Gore $6
Basically my whole “farm” system. Would only have Keston and Vidal Brujan left at NA.
+$3 every year a player is kept, values above show cost going into next year.
10 team h2h, 5×5 plus OBP, SLG, QS, Holds
I’m real strong with bats, middling with SP.
My likely starting lineup next year.
C Perez $2
1B Vaughn $4
2B Jazz $0
3B ?
SS Tatis $6
LF Tucker $6
CF ?
RF Meadows $8
Util Ohtani $13
Util ?Correa $10
Util ?Mondesi $22
NA Vidal $0

Berrios $19
Thor $4
Clevinger $4
Severino $1
Ray $0
McClanahan $0
Can keep 14 each season, plus 2 NA to start out the year.
no Jon Gray? He’s really good
How far out of the 500 is Jesus Aguilar? Seems like he deserves some love
Bauer totally off the list now?
Hi Eric,
I am sitting 2 points out of 1st in an 8 team, short bench, keep-5 roto league. I got offered Freeman, Correa, and Raisel Iglesias for Vladdy. I love Vladdy as a keeper, but this might put me over the top this season. I would probably drop McNeil and Civale to make my roster fit.
What would you do? Thanks!
Who would be your top targets to try to add from this week’s MLB draft? I am in several deep leagues with large minor league rosters.
Hi Eric,
Why no Patrick Sandoval on your list ?
I got a trade offer of Sandoval for Dane Dunning.
Which do you think is the better side of the trade ?
Hi, Eric, I thought we were closer than this. I feel you have drifted apart. Why do you hate me? Was it because I did not run away with you?
Hey Eric, Great update!
Curious what you would do in this scenario:
20 team dynasty league, super deep miners rosters (up to 130 players between majors and minors), with a complicated contract system that basically you have 4 years on a cheap rookie deal and then they get more and more expensive each year afterwards. Also important note, it is a points league and you only get a MAX of 6 starts from pitchers each week.
The gist of my team is I am a top contenders right now, but am carried mostly by my lineup (Contreras, Vladdy, Rizzo, Albies, JoRam, Bichette, Carlson, Buxton, Meadows, Brantley, Biggio) and bullpen. My rotation has skated by thus far and is lacking an ace currently (Montas, Ray, Morton, Matz, Lamet). I have Pearson, Luzardo, and Soroka chilling in my minors for now while they get healthy/figure out how to throw strikes.
In addition, I have Franco, Abrams, Groshans, Gabriel Moreno, Priester, and Kyle Harrison has my top prospects and are timed well as some of my current players get too pricey for me to keep.
I have a potential to make a trade for Burnes, who has three cheap years left on his contract. It would cost me Abrams, Luzardo or Pearson, a likely top 5 FYP 1st round pick, and change. Is this worth it for me to get Burnes and really stabilize my rotation or is it risking to much of the future?
Conversely, if I kept the players I have now, by end of season how do you think a rotation with Pearson, Luzardo, Soroka, Lamet, Montas, etc. would look?
I appreciate your Input!
Hey Eric! As always, love the content. I’m in a 12 team 5×5 dynasty and am rebuilding. I currently have Waters and K-Rob, but my farm has good depth at OF (and potential future OFs) with J-ROD, Adell, Brujan, Kiriloff, Abrams, Martin.
My question is how do you feel about Waters and K-Rob? I see Waters slipping in everyone’s rankings and continue to hear nothing but bad things about his play on the field. I know K-Rob is worrying more about his health right now than baseball, which is great. I’m just worried without having any play to assess him on in a long time he’s going to slip in rankings too.
I’ve had both of these guys for a while and have been holding steady, but nobody is interested in trading for them and the following players are available on the waiver so I’m wondering if it’s time to cut bait on either of them to grab some of these guys that are playing well so far.

Hey Eric, keep up the great work! I’m in a 12 team 5×5 dynasty, full rebuild. If I were to trade Jose Ramirez, is a return of CJ Abrams, Bohm and Grisham/Cease enough?
Hey Eric, as always I appreciate all you do for the fantasy baseball community! 12 team dynasty league and I’m in full rebuild. Shallow rosters of around 25 players. Got an offer for my Jose Ramirez of CJ Abrams, Bohm, Grisham. Is that enough in return or should I be looking for more? Thanks!
thank you.
Will your 2021 dynasty rankings be updated again in March before the season starts?
Hello Mr. Cross. Great work! Im in a keeper(KEEP 9) league(12teams), 28 men roster
Batting cats are Runs (R), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Strikeouts (K), Batting Average (AVG), On-base Percentage (OBP), Extra Base Hits (XBH) If you have the depth to target anyone who would be the best batter to get in a trade? Soto, Trout, Tatis, Acuna or someone else?! Thanks in advance.
Dynasty keeper league, 16 teams 27 keepers, im on the clock. Who is safest pick? Burns, arozarena or even karnataka because closers hard to come by
Incredible tool! Appreciate the hard work that went into this, used it for my first dynasty draft this year.
*One small fix, Cristian Hernandez SS on the Cubs is listed as 20 on this list, however he is only 17*
Thank you for your takes!
I have to keep 8 guys in a dynasty league with a roster of 30 players and a budget of $300. 4 OF, 3 MI, 2 of every other Position player and a DH. 8 Starting Pitchers.
Which of these 8 do I keep? Number in parentheses is what it would cost me to keep the player…
LeMaheiu ($6)
Alcantara ($6)
Luis Castillo ($12)

Hader ($6)
Will Smith ($6)
Jose Abreu ($21)
Albies ($12)

Great List Eric! I’m in a deep keeper league (12 team, 5 x 5, QS instead of W). Keep 15, rookie eligible player do not count towards the 15. I’ve been 3rd the pass 2 years. Here are my “locked in” keepers/RE:

I have two more spots. Having a tough time choosing between the following: Josh Donaldson, Gary Sanchez, Jake Cronenworth, Dylan Moore, John Means, or Trevor Rosenthal. Thoughts?
Just wondering how many starting hitters/pitchers you are assuming in a league for this ranking list
Because I’m assuming boom or bust players get a bump in shallower leagues
Hello Eric,
I could use an upgrade at OF and SB. I have an offer to acquire Teoscar, is this good?
I get: Teoscar Hernandez + 3.28 FYPD 2020
He gets: Josiah Gray, Sam Huff, 1.11 FYPD 2020
Thanks
Hey Eric, trying to clean up my roster and curious if there is any reason I should continue to hold Reynaldo Lopez? Not sure who I’d be looking to pick in lieu of hi, but Coby Mayo is top of the list right now. For context, my rotation is pretty stacked ahead of Lopez.
Two part question if anyone would like to offer any thoughts:
1. Advice on keepers? I’m in a standard 10 team keeper league, head to head categories, really competitive. 6 keepers each team.
My squad: Juan Soto, Shane Bieber, Wander Franco, Pete Alonso are locked in. For my last two keeper spots I’m debating between Austin Meadows, Jose Abreu, Gavin Lux, and Yu Darvish.
Leaning towards Darvish as he’s competitive for the short term, and Meadows as the best combo from those three hitters for upside and major league production. Any changes you would make?
Part 2. I have a trade offer from the league champ who needs to dump a player to finalize his 6 keepers. He’s asking for Shane Bieber in return for my choice of 2 of the following:
1 of Lindor, Jose Ramirez, Kyle Tucker, Luis Robert
1 of Walter Beuhler, Jack Flaherty, Lucas Giolito
His team was stacked and it seems like a no brainer to make a deal from that offer but I’m also a big Bieber fan as he hits his prime. Thoughts?
JoRam should plummet on this list after the Lindor trade and Santana leaving. He might accrue 200 walks this year, but kiss the power, avg/obp and speed goodbye. The team won’t be letting him run since he’s their next major marketable asset they’ll be moving, and teams won’t be pitching to him because there’s literally nothing else in that lineup that could do any damage whatsoever, so they’ll be putting him on 1B every time it’s remotely reasonable to.
A good hitter is a good hitter, regardless of lineup position or so-called “protection”.
What are your thoughts on Bryce Ball? I know he’s blocked by Freddie Freeman at 1B but his debut, regardless of age, seemed to be outstanding.
Also, what are your thoughts on Kyle Wright? Can he still reach his potential or is he now just a mid-rotation starter at best? I know Giolito is an outlier but maybe Wright can finally break through with a touch better command just like Giolito.
Lastly, any prospects on or off this list that could be severely undervalued and rise at least 150 or more spots by next year?
I enjoy reading your content, keep it up!
12 team 5×5 roto keeper league. We keep 15 players. $320 cap at time we submit keepers, but otherwise salaries don’t matter. Players get $5 raises each year.
Will keep 15 of the 17 below, most likely dropping Laureano and Soroka.
1B – Olson $25
2B – Albies $17, Lux $10
SS – Lindor $33
3B – Moncada $30, Torkelson $5
OF – Arozarena $10, Carlson $10, Laureano $17, Teoscar $2
SP – Berrios $20, Fried $15, Valdez $10, Soroka $13, Pearson $6, Musgrove $10
RP – Karinchak $8
Was just offered up 2 trade options.
1 – $16 Bichette for $33 Lindor, $2 Teoscar, and $10 Musgrove
2 – $16 Bichette and $13 Gore for $33 Lindor, $2 Teoscar, and $20 Berrios.
If I take trade 1, Bichette Replaces Lindor, and that leaves me with 15 after trading Teoscar and Musgrove.
If I take trade 2, Bichette replaces Lindor. Gore becomes a keeper and most likely don’t keep either Laureano or Soroka.
Should I go for one of the trades and if so, which one?
What are your thoughts on this trade? I was not winning the pennant this year.

Hey Eric, longtime reader, first time commenter. 🙂
Which 2 of the following 3 would you keep in a dynasty league (no limit on how long you own a player)?
1. Lourdes Gurriel
2. Dylan Carlson
3. Devin Williams
Saves + holds is a category, so Williams has more value than usual. Right now, I’m leaning towards keeping the two OFs, but it’s tough because I already have Trout and Grisham.
Thanks!
I know you have Tork higher, but would you trade Lamet for Torkelson in a points league where pitchers are really valuable?
Hey Eric,
Phenomenal work as always! Can you tell me which 8 of the below players you’d keep? There are no salary, draft pick, or contract implications in this league, so the best players typically get kept by their owners without any penalty for a long time.
Bellinger
C. Seager
Meadows
Snell
Franmil
Adell
Sixto
Luzardo
Biggio
Carlson
Ian Anderson
Kelenic
Gore
Vaughn
Kirilloff
Hi Eric, I noticed you have Nate Pearson at 104 and Ian Anderson at 109. Looking at your rankings for 2021, you have Anderson at 29, and Pearson at 62. Do you think the long term projection is that close for them? Also, what do you think Pearson’s role will look like in 2021? Thanks for the great work and fantastic rankings.
Hi there. great list. Just ONE player I would like to ask you about, Franchy Cordero. Not in your top 500?
Cheers, Bill
Eric,
What I don’t understand is how do you have guys ranked higher in the top 500 that you released on Dec 22nd then you do in the positional rankings you updated on December 18th?
As an exampled, in your positional rankings for SS on the 18th, you have Jazz Chisholm SS 8 spots higher than Jeter Downs SS. Yet on your top 500 rankings, Jeter Downs is 183 and Jazz Chisholm is behind him at 201?? Thanks
Hi Eric,
Great work as always! I’m looking for some depth with my starting pitching in my dynasty league and I wanted to get your opinion on John Means. I noticed he’s not in your top 500 list. Is there something that scares you about his profile? Other potential options are K. Freeland, C. Bassitt, J. Dunn but I just can’t get excited about this group.
Keep up the great work. I appreciate what you do!
Kory
Hey Eric,
I’m in a very deep Dynasty (30 teams, 40-man, 60 specs/team). Salary Cap at $159m/year. I inquired about a trade for Kole Calhoun, who locks in at $9.25m thru 2023 (player option for that in 2023). Other team requested Jackson Rutledge straight up. I’m in a somewhat competitive position for playoffs this year, and could use the every day OF. Would you do ths though?
Hi Eric!
I’m interested in where you think Ha-Seong Kim should go in a 12 team dynasty. Thank you!
Hi Eric,
Thank you again for everything you do. I don’t know if you’ll be able to answer this, but I wanted to know your opinion on if I need to upgrade my hitting. I asked in an earlier post about going for Kyle Tucker, I think that would help me tremendously. I am in win-now mode with my team. Any other guys I should look into? I have Noelvi Marte as trade bait along with Gilbert, Skubal and E. Cabrera. Thanks so much!
C – Garver
C – Huff
1B – Goldschmidt
2B – LeMahieu
3B – Urshela
SS – Bogaerts
CI – Christian Walker
MI – B. Lowe
OF – Hampson, McNeil, Carlson, Gurriel Jr., Pollock
UT – Nelson Cruz
Reserve – Belt, Encarnacion, N. Lowe, Jared Walsh, Canha, Grossman, Haniger
Seeing this super late, but that lineup is severely lacking power if/when Cruz/Goldy are hurt or slump, so hopefully you worked a deal for a power OF bat.
Eric – this is great. How often will you compile this list during the spring? When do you anticipate the last dynasty list before opening day? I want to use this list for draft day. Thank you
Any chance Rockies give Hampson and Hilliard 500 – 550 ab’s ?
Hangin onto both one more year but running out of time and roster space
Hi Eric,
I know you are high on Kyle Tucker (which is why I wanna go for him). Do you think this is a fair offer or too little?
1. Noelvi Marte
2. Either Logan Gilbert, Edward Cabrera or Josiah Gray
3. 1st round or 2nd round pick in FYPD (11th pick)
Thanks!!
Jordan Montgomery not close to 500?
Awesome list but the Framber Valdez ranking is brutal. Dude was a top 25 pitcher in fantasy this year, has maybe the best curveball in baseball right now, was absolutely unhittable in more than half of his starts including mystifying the Twins in the playoffs, and he doesn’t crack the top 300? Yeesh.
No Justus Sheffield? You like Dunn more than him?
Hi Eric,
Thank you for all that you do! I was wondering if you could look at my pitching staff and see if it looks good for next year or if I should try and target another solid tier 1-2 starter. My league is 5×5 12-team ROTO.
Sale, Paddack, Glasnow, Gallen, Gray, Hendricks, Burnes, Skubal and Pineda
Thank you so much
I’d be looking to package Sale and Paddack for someone with a little more stability (as far as SP’s can have stability, haha), in their mid-late 20’s. Paddack’s value is dropping each time he takes the ball, and Sale is past the point where he should have been dealt (yeah, yeah hindsight is 20/20, but still), but still has the name value and past results that someone may still buy into. I’d be looking at the Castillo/Woodruff/Snell/Fried group and see if you might find a match where the owner of one of those types may be a bit shallow on SP overall, yet in position to compete this year. I’d sell them on Paddack replacing the youth they’re losing, and they’re getting an ace kicker bouncing back in Sale (even though nobody knows if he’ll even be half his former self after the surgery). If they resist, I’d even kick in Skubal to try to make it a “Godfather deal.” – Just my 2 cents tho.
Was Jeimer Candelario an oversight? Dude slashed 297/369/503 in the heart of the Tigers lineup and at 26, is just now heading into his prime.
How does Devin Williams NOT crack to top 500? Beyond unhittable. I’m not saying he should be top 200-300 but there are pitchers he must land in front of, Like Keona Kela for example.
Hello Eric, again, thanks for your great work!
I’m looking to upgrade my pitching staff with some future aces in my dynasty baseball league. Can you name a few good young promising arms other than Gore, Cease, and company? Thoughts on Sixto Sanchez ,Casey Mize, Matt Manning, Spencer Howard, Asa Lacy, AJ Puk? Highest potential/low risk reward? Or are there other promising pitchers you could suggest to help me?
Thanks for coming back, really appreciate!
Ben
What are your thoughts on Brandon Lowe, can he repeat seasons like 2020 year after year? If you have a choice between: Tim Anderson, Brandon Lowe, Kyle Lewis, Teoscar Hernandez, Trent Grisham, who would you pick first among the list?
Thanks a lot for your great work!
Love the list!! I’m in a 12 team keeper league
Tatis Jr.
Robert
Huira
Glasnow
Gore
Sale
Springer
J. Rodriguez
Luciano
Kim
Greinke
I can keep 7, who would you pick?
Great work! I am currently in an 8 team (6 keeper) league. Due to a lot of trades and waiver wire pitching, I have the following players:
Juan Soto
Bregman
Luis Robert
Eloy
Hiura
Trea Turner
Jose Ramirez
Devers
Yordan
Kyle Tucker
Which 6 would you keep as well as the next 2 for consideration? Thank you.
Soto, Robert, Eloy, Turner
coin flip the next 2 from the pool of Devers, Bregman & JoRam, leaning JoRam if you’re dead set on competing for the championship this year (and I’d assume so if it’s an 8 team league, everyone should be a contender), or if you’re somehow working a rebuild, I’d lean Devers just for the fact he’s 4 years JoRam’s junior.
Not a fan of Dylan Moore?
Would you keep Plesac or Burnes for next year?
Thanks for sharing your info
Great list! You have Jose Garcia of the reds listed as 35 years old though….?
Hi Eric,
Would you trade Paddack for Muncy straight up? I have Paddack, I want to sell him before his value gets too low. Thanks so much!
Great work, as always! May I ask why Pablo Lopez is so low (#490). I’d have him close to top 150 for Dynasty. Thanks!
I have a decision to make come 2021 season
Pick 5 keepers from this bunch standard h2h cat scoring
Trout
Harper
Bregman
Bellinger
Gleybor torres
Bo bichette
Chris paddock/bauer
Interested why the gap between Puason and Erick Pena. Pena was listed ahead in the top 250 prospects, so I’m interested in what vaulted Puason up so high.
Thoughts on plesac, Muncy , keller for biggio and howard. Id be getting biggio and howard side
Knizner. do you not see him as the Cardinals “catcher of the future”?
So I’m in a dynasty league with a draft this weekend. It is very deep with supp. and minor drafts, and I am unsure if my catcher will be good enough. I have Robinson Chirinos, who I was hoping could hold on long enough until Miguel Amaya comes up for the Cubs, but could potentially trade up and grab Christian Vazquez in the supplemental draft. I have pick 9, and am thinking trading that and a fourth round minor league pick for the number 3 overall supplemental pick. What do you think
Hi Eric,
Mitch Haniger was a keeper from last year. Will he ever return to form?
Thanks for putting this together! I get to keep a player at each position, plus a UTIL, 4SP’s, 4RP’s. I noticed you don’t have Keone Kela on the list, which I had marked above Dakota Hudson. I guess it might be easier to lay out my options and list who I am keeping. Am I making any mistakes?
C – O. Narvaez
1b – H. Dozier
2b – Hiura
SS – Bichette
3b – Andujar
LF – Calhoun
CF – Haniger
RF – Mercado
U – Villar
SP – Hendricks
SP – McCullers
SP – Folty
SP – Odorizzi
RP – Woodruf
RP – Leclerc
RP – German
RP – Kela
Batters not listed for those positions are Swanson, Votto, Luis Arraez, Tauchmann, Santander, Kendrick.
Pitchers not listed are Quintana, Ross Stripling, Luis Severino, Dakota Hudson
So would you suggest I keep Arraez overHaniger and Hudson over Kela? Anything else I might be missing would also be appreciated. Thanks again!
Was hoping that Severino not being kept would go unnoticed and I could pick him up late in the draft with his low O-Rank, do you think it’s worthwhile to keep him over any of the above pitchers?
Thanks again, I really do appreciate it.
How high would Ohtani be on your list if this were a daily league where he can be used as a pitcher and hitter?
Great stuff some really good ones
Hey Eric! As always, thanks for the great work! Was offered Correa & Bart for my Muncy in a 12 team, shallow dynasty league. I’m rebuilding and stocking up on young upside/prospect, so Muncy is an obvious trade piece. Is it worth the risk to take on Correa? Thanks!
Is Sam Carlson SP Seattle not on the list? Unless I missed him.
Hey Eric,
I’ve recently gone through a huge rebuild period with my team. I’ve got about 19 of the top 100 prospects. I’m obviously not expecting to contend for the next couple of years. A lot of guys are approaching me about trading Corey Seager but i’m really stuck on how to value him at this point. Any input would be helpful. Thanks!
Who is the most mlb ready of these: Lodolo, Rutledge, Espino, Manoah?
who has the most upside?
Eric,
Thanks for putting this list together, as well as all of your other ones.
That said, no Hudson Head? As high as you have been in him in other places, and where you have him ranked there compared to guys that show up on this list, that surprises me.
How come?
Hey Eric,
I’m going to use the site today instead of Twitter for this question……
What are your thoughts on the long term upside and potential fantasy value for:
Terrin Vavra
Jeremiah Jackson
George Valera
Thought maybe I should let you know, if I declared today, I was dropping Ramos, Urias, and Upton, so basically im asking if im over valueing the pitchers because of my situation.
Thanks
Wayne
Hi Eric,
Im in a 6×6 Total bases and Holds
Dynasty type league keep 35, draft 15 rounds, with a limit of 10 adds in the year. Having a bit of trouble with the last 5 keepers. 5 of these Evan White, Roughed Odor, Justin Upton, Luis Urias, Heliot Ramos,
Andrew Heaney, Mike Foltynewitz, Marcus Stroman, Im good in hitting, but mid pack in pitching, which is why im thinking maybe I should keep more pitching. What do you think?
Thanks,
Wayne
just a heads up, you’ve got tsutsugo in there twice. 340 & 351
i wish there WERE two of him then i’d have a better shot to get him in my draft
Trying to rebuild pithing depth in my minors. Deep Fantasy (20 team) lots of guys on rosters outside of this list. Pache and Hays in CF pipeline.
Pitchers of note: B. McKay, Teheran, Rodriguez, M. Wacha, T. Mahle, M. Keller, and B. Keller. I’m still out a few years (at least) from contention. Wonder how you feel about selling out for pitching prospects? Gap between J. Polanco and T. Turner is sizable when Turner plays a full season. What are your thoughts about further development from J. Polanco and the trade overall? I feel like I’m giving up too much, but with such shallow pitching I’m curious if you would make this play…
TRADE
T. Turner SS
L. Taveras CF
M. Moniak CF
A. Alzolay SP
J. Loaisiga RP
RECEIVE
J. Polanco SS
S. Reid-Foley SP
M. Libertore SP
A. Medina SP
E. Hankins SP
Opinions on a couple of the Korean transfers:
Josh Lindblom
Kwang-hyun Kim
?
Why so low on glasnow?
How close is Soto to passing Trout?
I am curious your thoughts on Dominic Smith and Domingo Santana. Domingo was looking great until a major slump after his injury this year. Dominic seems to just need a starting opportunity. If both had a guaranteed starting opportunity, would they rank higher?
Garrett Hampson at 100 lol
Duplantier? Honeywell? Even heyward. Ouch
How about Spencer Howard unless I missed him he was left off your 500 the Phillies are high on him and many project him to debut in 2020
crazyhorse
What are your thoughts on Sam Hilliard in dynasty format? Also, do you prefer Kolten Wong’s upside over Odor’s in a 7×7 categories (OPS, Average, TB) dynasty league?
I have multiple people trying to acquire Franco from me in the from of picks. Would you trade him at all?? How many first rounders would it take? I have Lindor in my SS an we speak so I have the flexibility to move Franco. Thanks
Hey Eric. Thanks or the list. I found two edits for you
Both Will Smith’s are RPs I’m Atlanta. I assume one of them I suspect the higher ranked on is a catcher for the Dodgers.
I don’t think you intended to rank Julio Rodriguez, the catcher from Detroit at 73.
thoughts on Jon Means. he had a monster first half and has since struggled a little. The last 5 starts look more like the first half (regressed for the mean since he was an ace in the first half).
you do not have him ranked- is this on purpose or just the last update occuring before the last 30 days where he has retrurned to fantasy relavent. I am working my roster for the offseason- we lock rosters after the end of the regular season, but do not choose keepers until spring training- we keep 25; but with NA/DL slots we end up with 30 on our roster and have to trim 5 at the start of the year. i am pretty set and just trying to figure out who will jump the most in the offseason since it is doubtful i keep him either way. So i am looking for guys who may be undervalued now, that will jump when people re-evaluate how their season went in the offseason.
Means looks like a good example- we have a good first half- 1.5 months of dumpster fire- then looks like he is starting to finish strong. that normally has people discounting the dumpster fire and he shoots into the top 150 range. The other guys i have are Stroman, Carlos Martinez, Frankie Montas. The hope is that 1 of them gains enough value to be worth keeping as either a 3rd closer (behind kenly and vazquez) or a 10th SP (7/8/9 would be paxton, price and ray at this point)
Hi Eric,
Thanks so much for this valuable resource. It’s been a boon to my Dynasty leagues! Currently asking about my 5×5 AL-Only 10-team Dynasty league.
I have the ability to claim Jake Fraley (#275) or Kyle Lewis (unranked, formerly a top-100/top-50 prospect) as an IR replacement for Mike Tauchman (#389).
First instinct is to go with Fraley, but why has Lewis fallen so low? Is there a chance he becomes better than Fraley in the bigs? Or am I complicating things too much and I should just trust the list?
Thanks again!
K.
Hi Eric – could you please give an opinion on a trade? I play in a 14 team dynasty league on Fantrax, we often use your rankings to evaluate trades. Our league policy is to “reverse any trade that cannot be reasonably argued as legitimate…with clear understanding that in dynasty (versus redraft) there’s enormous leeway with ‘legitimate’ based on short- & long-term needs of the participating clubs”. Recently, a contending team traded Isan Diaz (you ranked as #249) and Orelvis Martinez (unranked) to a rebuilding team for Miguel Sano (#164). Some people in the league consider this trade one-sided and worthy of a veto. Do you think this trade should be vetoed or allowed through? Thanks.
Would Danny Santana still be outside the top 100 at this point?
What are your thoughts on Ketel Marte? Is what he’s doing this year sustainable for the future? I traded Gary Sanchez for Ketel Marte in my dynasty league. Love Gary but I feel like Ketel has longer upside because of the demanding position catcher has on a body.
Raimel Tapia only 25 and hitting .290 in the middle of the Rockies lineup doesn’t make the top 400?
Hi Eric, thanks for the list. Surely will help me to define my keepers for next year. I have a doubt, who would you keep (2 openings) between Joe Adell , Nate Lowe, Ryu and Brendan McKay. Thanks for your help.
More upside – Kelenic or Luciano?
Thanks!
Why is Meadows ranked higher than Kepler and Muncy? Trying to decide which one is my last keeper.
Other then speed whats makes Tatis Jr or Soto better than Vlad in Dynasty league since the start of last year i feel what i have heard Vlad has the best bat and he will compete for Batting titles in years to comes.
Hunter Dozier seems very low
How far away is Plesac from cracking this list and what type long term value do you foresee? Mid-rotation guy? Also, should I be buying in dynasty?
Thank you
very good well done thank you
I’m curious I just was offered a dynasty trade that is tough for me – I give up Kelenic for Wander Franco? Would you do it? Im thinking Kelenic is more of a stud for fantasy purposes and Franco is great don’t get me wrong but I think more of a real life player – I appreciate you taking the time
How could you not JUMP at an offer of Franco for Kelenic?! They are not even in the same class. I would make sure you are being offered the REAL Wander and if so…..DO IT ASAP!!!
Why so low on woodruff? Obviously, it has been a relatively small sample, but feel like he should be up in front of Paxton/Bum type guys. Also, you have Daniel Murphy as “David” Murphy. I realize he’s been a big disappointment but you didnt have to do him like that! Love the content as always though.
