Top 125 Prospect Rankings for 2025 FYPDs

One of the unique aspects of fantasy baseball is the multitude of ways to play, with Dynasty leagues among the most popular. If you’ve never participated in a Dynasty league, this year might be the perfect time to dive in. Dynasty formats offer unparalleled depth, allowing you to manage roster construction, draft picks, minor league players, and trades. It’s the closest you’ll come to experiencing the thrill of being your own General Manager. For you Dynasty die-hards, this article delivers what you’ve been waiting for, the Top 125 FYPD Prospect Rankings for 2025.

These rankings are specifically tailored to players selected in the 2024 Rule 4 Draft. International free agents signed during the 2024 international signing period were also included. This isn’t our Top 600 Prospect Ranking, but rather a focused list for First-Year Player Draft leagues and Dynasty-specific formats. Rankings will be updated throughout the season as we approach the 2025 MLB Draft.

If you aren’t playing your dynasty leagues on Fantrax, you’re missing out on the deepest player pool and most customization around. Just starting out in a dynasty league? Then check out Wes Hughes & Trevor Hooth’s Top-600 Overall Fantasy Prospects and Wes Hughes Top-500 Dynasty League Rankings.

Positional Prospect Rankings: C | 1B | 2B | 3B | SS | OF | SP  – (Links will be added as our Prospect Rankings continue)

Here are a few notes on how I approach my rankings:

  • Fantasy Focused: These rankings are exclusively based on a player’s fantasy potential and my analysis of their value in fantasy baseball leagues.
  • Criteria: Stats matter, Statcast data and park factors are weighted, injuries impact rankings, and future team context is considered. However, these rankings are a snapshot in time of a player’s projected future fantasy value.
  • Position Eligibility: Players with multiple positions are ranked at their primary position based on where they played the most games in the minors.
  • Your Team, Your Vision: Use these rankings as a guide, not gospel. Your fantasy team is your own, and you should rank and draft prospects based on your own evaluations and strategy.

  1. You seem to have overlooked James Tibbs, Theo Gillen, P.J. Morlando and Cam Caminiti. Also, if eligible, Hyeseong Kim and Tomoyuki Sugano should be on here, too.

    • Thanks for pointing this out – the upload left a few names out. Tibbs, Gillen, Morlando and Caminiti should have been included originally and are on the updated list as they should have been. Sugano and Kim are a little different they wouldn’t qualify per MLB’s rules for “prospects”, but Sugano is an older control artist and it would be tough to include him on this list of high upside players. Hyeseong I am not completely sold on his offensive capabilities, when you compare him and Ha-Seong Kim (who hit 30 HR and stole 25 bases while hitting .306 before making the jump to MLB) the case for Hyeseong to be a fantasy relevant option is tough to make.

    • Thanks for pointing this out – Caminiti should have been included originally the original upload left a few names out. This has since been updated.
