Just two weeks left of EPL waiver wire suggestions. It’s a different schedule this week, with two games Friday, none on Saturday for the FA Cup final, then games Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
It was a good week of suggestions in week 36. Beto scored and had a solid game all around. Even with a yellow card, Michael Kayode almost hit 20 points, with a clean sheet and defensive stats. Mats Wieffer was fouled for a penalty (as an assist) and also scored well, despite the yellow card too. Only Manchester City and Matheus Nunes, who didn’t play, were highly disappointed.Â
Only six points separate 2nd through 7th place. Four of those teams get a spot in the Champions League, with Liverpool who has the title wrapped up. These teams have something to play for, and so have added value. But beware of teams with nothing left to play for who can play with ease and for pride.
Week 37 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire
Week 37 suggestions (rostered 50% or less) are listed in order from most to least rostered.
Chris Richards – Defender – Rostered 29% – Crystal Palace vs Wolves
The Palace defender had a great set of games for Fantrax managers before being sidetracked by a red card that kept him out for a bit. The two games after his return have been double-digit points, including a shutout. He had a shot in each of those games as well. Wolves haven’t scored in two games either, plus Palace are at home.
Matty Cash – Defender – Rostered 28% – Aston Villa vs Tottenham
Villa have kept clean sheets in five of their last seven games, conceding only to Man City and Newcastle in that stretch. Villa is just on the outside of Champions League qualification, so they need every point they can get, especially with a lower goal differential than teams ahead of them in the table. Cash is known to get forward, too, so he’s capable of getting points on either side of the ball. Spurs have lost four of the last five and tied the other. He’s got an upside as an option on the EPL waiver wire.
Bilal El Khannouss – Midfielder – Rostered 26% – Leicester vs Ipswich
El Khannouss has been a bright spot in an otherwise rough season for Leicester. He’s a consistent Fantrax scorer, and he’s had two above-average games in a row. He’s on set pieces often. After a huge scoring drought, Leicester has scored two in each of its last two games. This is a good matchup. Kasey McAteer is another option here, too.
Carlos Alcaraz – Midfielder – Rostered 22% – Everton vs Southampton
Alcaraz is in good form, with an assist in each of his last two games. They took four points over those two games, and they scored five goals. So, after some time coming off the bench, he should retain his starting spot after those performances. Everton hosts last-place Southampton, who were shut out in their last two games. There are good options generally for Everton, with Beto, Michael Keane, and others all solid options and 50% rostered or less on the EPL waiver wire.
