Week 35 – Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire

The week 35 EPL waiver wire sees the season winding down, but with more to play for on both sides of the table. Arsenal sit in first, but Manchester City have a game in hand and are just three points behind them. The battle for survival is down to three teams (Nottingham Forest, West Ham, and Spurs) trying to stay above the last relegation spot.

Week 34 suggestion, Igor Jesus, had his best game of the entire season and was the top scorer of the week, scoring a goal and adding two assists. If he’s available, he should be a target on the waiver wire this week. Konstantinos Mavropanos didn’t keep up the pace he’d set in the previous four games, but it was at least a solid return on points. Conor Gallagher continued his steady contributions with 8.5 in a big win against Wolves. Keane Lewis-Potter scored 6.5 in the 2-1 loss to Manchester United.

Week 35 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire

Week 35 suggestions (rostered 50% or less) are listed in order from most to least rostered.

Abdukodir Khusanov – Defender – Rostered 48% – Everton vs Manchester City

It’s hard to believe that he’s still under 50% rostered across leagues. It’s been four straight very good games for the City defender, including two clean sheets in that stretch. He had 17 clearances and 10 aerials over those four games. City haven’t lost since January 17th. They’re neck and neck with Arsenal in the title race. Khusanov is a good way into a team fighting for the title. Plus, Man City has an extra game to play still.

Mathias Jensen- Midfielder – Rostered 43% – Brentford vs West Ham

Jensen scored Brentford’s lone goal against Manchester United. He has three double-digit point games in a row, too. He’s been a model of consistency, and Fantrax managers can expect points. The Bees are still in the hunt for a space in Europe so they’ve got more to play for. Jensen offers real value this week on the EPL waiver wire.

Mathys Tel – Forward – Rostered 42% – Aston Villa vs Tottenham

It’s been a rough season for Spurs, who are currently in 18th place and in the relegation zone. Injuries have been an issue for them and are so again now. Dominic Solanke picked up a knock and is doubtful, and Xavi Simons suffered a major ACL injury. Tel and other attackers will have to step up to keep them up in the EPL. He had a goal and an assist two games ago, but he was quiet against Wolves.

Jaka Bijol- Defender – Rostered 39% – Leeds vs Burnley

Leeds are undefeated in their last five. Bijol has started in all of those, with his low score being six and his high score being 23. He’s helped keep three shutouts over those five games, too. Leeds hosts 19th-place Burnley, who are already officially relegated. It’s a good matchup, and he’s picking up points, making him a low-risk choice for managers needing a quality defender.
